ajabani4allah: If you want it to last the time, purchase concrete rings and drop into the soakaway. Otherwise, do the conventional type. Goodluck |

ajabani4allah: No1 can calculate how much material you need for your project without having an idea of it's size. You'll need to send the plan and roof plan to get the quantities. On the ring soak away.... How big is your land? - this is because if its a small land, your water source (Borehole) might be polluted. Goodluck |

Badgers14: There are 2 things that wld make it crack. No1. They didn't wait for the 21 days curing time before they started sinking. No2. Poor cement mix, but I'll believe it's the 1st because of the nature of the crack. 3 Likes |

speak2bella: Hi. First I read a comment where sm1 said you shd break... DON'T. 2, the shape of the soak-away don't matter, so don't worry about the bent (converging) side, what you shd be worried about is the cracks and possible leakage. Solution. Continue to sink the septic tank until you get to the FINAL POSITION. Then, see the existing 4 walls of the Septic tank and your EXTERNAL FORMWORK. Proceed to create internal formwork 150mm thick minimum ALSO reinforced with 12mm rods @ same spacing you used before. Lastly, cast the new concrete wall and enjoy. You'll have a wall of about 350mm thick and a slightly smaller internal dimension but no worries.... Keep. Me. Updated. If. You. Need. Further. Help. 5 Likes |

sonnie10: Well... Its not professional to have a dimension of 458 x 1189. And mm isn't used because of precision. It's a British standard used only by British and those they colonised. Eg America and China don't use it, do we then say they don't have precise measurements? 4 Likes |

Balistic4: Way too much IN MY OPINION. I say this having 2 things on mind. 1. My house is a duplex and I didn't buy this much 2. My electrical Engr did an estimate for another duplex recently and he didn't get this much cables (pls don't ask me to link him to you, he's not available) 3. 16mm is run from your meter to the DB - how far is that distance to require 2 coils (yes he needs red and black but a fraction of 1 is OK - not the full coil) eg you might need half of red and half of black. My comments are based on the 3 above - still seek advice from another electrical expert. Goodluck 5 Likes |
