We are talking diversification here.. What do you know?
Don't mind those two idiotic and illiterate posters above. Every single economic statistic for Nigeria is positive! The naira has become stable, inflation has been declining for 15 consecutive months now and is at 12.5, foreign reserve accretion is nearing USD50 billion thanks to prudent management and rising oil price, GDP is at its highest since q4 2015 at >2%.
The kind of economics those idiot posters above prefer is the economics of distributing N100 naira and Bags of rice on the street Fayose style. As if the cocoa farmer is not a common man.

How do you even reason

What long process was taken before the money was initially released

Fighter aircraft that will land in Nigeria after how many years?
And the idiot is still arguing!!!
The US government gave Nigeria a deadline of Febuary to pay up in order to meet 2020 delivery. This idiot here is comparing that to releasing money for the treatment of an ailing former VP!!!
His family already paid his bills!
What on this bloody fuçking earth is the problem with you scavengers that want FG money released to you? The most disgusting part of this is that it's not even the family complaining. It's scavengers like that idiot Bishop, and this fool here that I'm quoting, that are complaining! If I had my way I would have all of you lined up for a firing squad and shot for stupidity!

Simple logic you still can't comprehend!
The FG released money for his hospital bills. The hospital returned the money to the CBN because the family already paid. If the family wants to be reimbursed for payments paid on behalf of the FG for the mans hospital bills, they should apply separately. Simple logic! It is fraudulent to open up an Invoice to settle hospital bills when the money will not be actually used to settle the hospital bills that have already been paid. Sit down and read slowly!

What bullshit are you saying? Because the former VP Ekwueme died in the hospital, his hospital bill should not be paid? Nonsense.

I can remember vividly that the FG said it will pay the hospital bill as the late VP was entitled to such.

If the family has paid the bill before the FG, the family should be refunded accordingly, else the FG is a fraud.

The new sheriff in town should NOT give room for citizens to doubt his integrity and ability to control his lieutenants.
wft are you saying? The money was released from the FG for hospital expenses. If the hospital refunded the money to the FG, the money should be domiciled in the Central Bank where it currently is! So what on earth is the issue here? If the family wants to be reimbursed for the hospital expenses on account of the man being a former VP, then let them request for that separately. But for money that was released for something to not be used for that thing and be given to people to share, that is fraud!
A new sheriff is in town!

The FG released money to the Hospital, the hospital refunded the money after the man died. The money is currently domiciled in the Central Bank where it belongs, so where is the fraud? Or this stupid bishop thinks this is Jonathans regime where the money would have been shared between "friends and family". Someone should wake that fool up and tell him this is 2018 Nigeria! The Lekki-ikoyi bridge in Lagos started in 2009 and was commissioned in 2013. It is a mere 1.3km. The Niger bridge, that that idiot former President promised to commission before 2015 or he would go on exile, is around 12km. You want 12km worth of work to be done in minutes? You people are illiterate and ignorant and the annoying part is that you want to force your ignorance down the throat of everyone!
The minister of works has paid several inspection visits to the site to monitor the progress and each time he does that, we have the same idiots coming here to claim that nothing is going on! WTF is wrong with you people? Like seriously what?

All these things you're listing is story.

You forgot the fact that 4 million jobs were lost last year?

Okay the recovered loot, how far with the money? What has he used it for?

And the incessant killings rocking the nation, what policy has been enacted ti address the issue?

A President that is not corrupt but his son crashed a bike of 58million. Who gave him such money? Keep in mind that Buhari, prior to entering power claimed he was poor and had to collect donations to buy his presidential form. So all things being equal the bike was bought with state fund.

What have you gained since this government came into power?

Of a truth I am not disappointed with this government. I daresay I envisaged their failure because I believe history repeats itself. Buhari was inept in 1983. I wasn't expecting a changed man in 2015.

By wanting me to be sincere with this government you're asking me to be satisfied with mediocrity and be very happy with the way the country is spiraling towards doom.
Bros everything you have listed here, apart from the security issue in the middle belt, is beer parlor trash. Who did the costing of Yusuf Buhari's bike after it crashed? You? I know power bikes cost cheaper than a second hand car. You can get one for as cheap as N300,000. I have no idea where you got N58 million from. As for the rest of the trash you typed here, please provide links to prove them. Who knows maybe you can convince me otherwise, which I doubt. But please you need to listen less to those people that have stolen our commonwealth. They will do anything to get back to power, including telling lies like this N58 million rubbish you're carrying ontop your head.

Here's your fact: https://www.thecable.ng/osinbajo-jonathan-shared-n150bn-two-weeks-2015-polls

Key excerpt:

We saw from the presentation of the minister of finance that N14 billion was spent on agriculture in 2014, transportation N15 billion, so the total spent on infrastructure in those three years were N153 billion and in two weeks before the elections, N150 billion was essentially shared.

“So, if your total infrastructure spending is N150 billion and you can share N153 billion, that is completely incredible. That sort of thing doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world. And when we are talking about the economy, we must simply understand that that is the problem

Jonathan was so dubious and deceitful, that he, together with his finance minister and minister of works, spent billions in a ceremony to lay the foundation for a project he didn't devote a dime to. Jonathan actually spent more money on his reelection that the entire budget for the Ministry of works from 2010 to 2015. That is a fact you should check out.

Most of the Igbo people on this forum always lie to those of us that are not in the east that nothing is going on there. Igbos are very deceitful and dubious people by nature. life2017:
Why Vice President Osibanjo Deserves Some Accolades

Written by nairalander life2017

The best VP Nigeria has had from 1999 till date is Professor Osibanjo. Osibanjo deserves some accolades.

For those who are asking what Osibanjo have done to affect the life of ordinary Nigerians to deserve the accolades see below:

1. Osibanjo played a major role in bringing peace to the Niger Delta in the last 1 to 2 years. It is this peace that have allowed oil to flow uninterrupted which alongside with improving oil price contributed to the stabilization of the Naira and more than double foreign reserves from around $20bn to about $48bn today.

2.Osibanjo actions which has contributed to Naira stability is partly responsible for the continuous drop in inflation for the last 5 months or more. We all know what the price of things were when 1 dollar was almost 500 Naira and what the price of things are today. Anybody who feign ignorance to this fact is just a bitter person.

3. Osibanjo is the head of the team in charge of school feeding. There is school feeding in Anambra state,Ebonyi state, Enugu State and other 17 states currently in Nigeria. What I have learnt about Nigerians who have access to social media is that these sets of Nigerians are the most selfish people in this country. Because many of us who have access to social media are not among those who have kids or siblings in govt/puplic primary schools, we tend to completely ignore the importance of the feeding scheme because our kids and siblings are in private primary schools.

4. Osibanjo is in charge of N Power. And he just launched N Build in Enugu state and Abia state this week where he was received by huge crowds with joy. About 200,000 Nigerians have already benefitted from N Power. And there are plans to increase the beneficiary to about 500,000.

5. The conditional cash transfer to the poorest Nigerians is also being handled by Osibanjo. The fact that those of us in social media are not among the poorest of the poor we tend to down play the importance of this programme.

6. Nigeria improvements in ease of doing business was championed by Osibanjo. This has help improve our ranking in the world. Many Nigerians who go to United State to give birth have benefitted alot from this. Before now, u need to get a Visa placed on your child US passport before u can travel with your baby to Nigeria. This was expensive and tedious for many because Nigeria process visa only in two states in the United state. Today all u need do is just to send an email to immigration and they usually reply the email within 72hours. With the replied email u can travel with your baby to Nigeria.

7. Osibanjo has been a Bridge Builder and promoter of peace both nationally and across party lines. The way PDP Governors receive him warmly show the degree of respect they have for his person. On the herdsmen issue that is ravaging the country Osibanjo has done his best in driving the discussion towards fact and reality rather than extreme hate and ethno religious bigotry some people would prefer just to blow up the country. For his mature and fact base handling of the issue some ignorant bigots have tag him a coward. Why some out of bitterness and envy call him mere commissioner or conductor.

There are many more contributions Osibanjo has made to Prosperity, Peace and Progress (PPP) of this country.

We must also commend Buhari for allowing Osibanjo to shine without being jealous that Osibanjo may take the shine away from him. Despite my dislike for Buhari nepotic tendencies, this is one area Buhari deserves commendation and some accolades too.

Oga please don't join those idiots online peddling false reports because they love and relish the impunity and stealing from the past. Inflation rate in Nigeria had dropped for 10 consecutive months to 12.48%. Not 5 consecutive months. GDP growth is nearing 2%. Our tax revenues are growing at crazy double digit rates while billions of Naira from past looting is being recovered daily.
Plenty of investment in infrastructure is ongoing and our foreign reserve accretion is nearing USD50 billion. Yet you'll find some idiots here saying saying rubbish about the economy! When they don't know anything!
