Questions begging for answers here because from the understanding of Nigerians the govt had removed any subsidy completely hence the price of 145 per litre , so now that it has been confirmed that the govt is paying 26 naira as subsidy once more (same amount Jonathan was paying as subsidy when crude oil was 100 dollars a barrel) shouldn't the price of petrol go back to 87 naira at the pumps as against the 145 we are still paying..

They are simply selling at a controlled price to distributors to resell to us at the pump. Simple! There is no subsidy. They simply import high and sell low! Under Jonathan it was the PDP criminals pretending to import petrol but actually importing nothing, and then collecting billions from Jonathan's government under the false pretense that they importing petrol. Jonathan's marketers imported high or imported nothing at all, but still collected billions from Jonathan and Ngozi. Here the NNPC is the sole importer and seller to distributors. They import all the petrol and sell at their own price to we the consumers.
