i just registered on your site and didnt seem to find any issue. I was able to access the compose sms. Has the issue been fixed? |
On the 14th of October 2015 I was driving from eket to uyo to pick up a friend when, I got a call from one of my students that his bulk SMS website was hacked and all his units he had with his provider was used up and that he didn’t know how that happened. I told him that I wasn’t at the office at the moment and will try to look at what happened to his site once I got back. When I finally had the chance to go through his site, I noticed that messages was sent using his api to all the numbers that has ever been used to send sms on his site. The SMS had the sender ID “KONGA”, and the msg was “Get special discounts Konga.com. Visit the following link and receive up to 65% discount on selected products: www./rXe4yE” I did some research and was able to come out with the following observations which I would love to share with other bulk sms providers, or those interested in the business. Note this are my personal observations made from my personal research. I have not had time to prove any of these stuffs and am not liable to any of the information here. 1) I feel the cause of the hack was because he was using a crack version of the afrisoft spc sms component. I have talked so much on this issue on my previous post here on naira land. https://www.nairaland.com/2247185/steps-create-bulk-sms-business I try to encourage people that are interested in the business to get the original spc component which goes for just 14,790 naira there is no need to use a cracked software which will be given u issues in the near feature. See bulk sms as a business and invest in it and you will see good returns coming out from it. 2) Some of those people that got their site hacked didn’t even know they were using a pirated software. They were deceived by those people that said they could design a bulk sms website for them at a cheap price. I see bulk sms website that are designed for as low as 10,000 naira. The question therefore is if the sms component alone cost 14,790 naira, domain name cost about 2000 naira, and the average host cost about 5,000 naira, how then do they create a bulk sms website for as low as 10,000 naira . Please if you ever get such an offer and the person tells you he is using the original bulk sms component for your site, please run. Cos you will be facing the consequence sooner or later. 3) After going through the messages, I discovered that it was more of an advertisement for some canvas art sold on konga. I was now confused cos I didn’t see the relationship between canvas art sold in konga and pirated bulk sms website. I then did a few digging and discovered that most those canvas art were all bought from one factory. And surprisingly the owner of that factory is also the owner of estoreSMS 4) For those of us that have been in the bulk sms industry for some time, we will be aware that afrisoft has shares in the estoresms https://www.nairaland.com/694777/afrisoft-interactive-buys-www.estoresms.com and also that afrisoft is the company behind the almighty spc softwares and other beautiful products such as vogue pay that is greatly revolutionizing ecommerce in Nigeria. With these few findings I have come out with the following conclusion. 1) As far as you are using a pirated spc software in your website, you will surely pay the price one day. So if you’re interested in the bulk sms business, ensure that the original spc component is used on your site. 2) I won’t like to go deep into the msg because Adeleke Ojikutu CEO of afrisoft is more of my mentor. I really appreciate what he is done so far in the ICT industry and Nigeria and I seriously hope to be like him or even better some day. 3) Also I will also want him to come out with a solution that will be able to make the sms component in accessible for those using the pirated copy so that the owner of the site will know that a pirated spc copy was used on their site because from my research I have discovered that the owners of this site most times don’t even know what version or type of component that was used. 4) Finally for those that feel bulk sms business is a poor man business, think again cos they are people still making more than 100k from the business monthly and mind you its just a passive source of income. cc: lojik |

@wus this kind of templates are rare that's why @dwebdesign was telling you that he could help you design a custom template for you that will suite your needs. I can help you with a wordpress design template too if you could contact me and give me more information on how you want the proposed template to be. it will still be a wordpress template which you will be able to install on your site like every other template just that it will be custom made. On your error with wamp, that could hv bin caused by some varieties of reasons which include usage of the port by another program most likely skype or u dont hv some dependencies installed on your system. what i will suggest is that you unistall wamp and start the installation process fresh. Check if the .NET framework is installed on your system. If not Download it and install it. Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package Then finally install the wamp server again If u still hv the issues after following these steps you let me know. |

Its crazy, dose it mean that nobody on nairaland has tried registering a business name online using the online CAC portal? |
Update: Just noticed that on my name reservation approval, the name is set to be available till august 4th. Need to know what happens if i cant register the name by august 4th, if my money will be refunded to me because right now nothing is happening. Do i continue going to CAC in uyo or do i travel to another state and complete the registration? None of my emails have been replied up till now. I need urgent help and advice pls |
Is the anybody on nairaland that has actually completed his own business registration online? Would like to know if it's a general issue or just an issue with CAC uyo. Pls seun and lalasticlala help us get more attention to this thread |
I have been seeing a lot of hype about the CAC online registration portal. The online portal was launched early this year around February with the aim of fast tracking its business services to its customers. According to the words of Dr Olusegun Aganga, the then Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, “the new online registration portal was developed by CAC to make registration of business easy and accessible to its clients. ‘Nigerians will no longer have to incur extra costs and will not travel to the CAC’s office to register their businesses,’ ” I was really happy with this wonderful development. Boasted about it to my friends telling them that Nigeria was really getting better and therefore decided to try it in registering an enterprise. I went to the CAC online portal http://services.cac.gov.ng/login and registered the. I took time to go through their FAQ and even downloaded their user guide just to make sure I was always on track. Finally on the 4th of June 2015, I finally made a request for the name availability search and paid 500 naira which is the cost for name search through their website with my ATM card. After I made the payment, I got two mails acknowledging the name search request and the payment which was made. The next day 5th of June, I received an email that my name search has been approved so I logged into my account to continue the registration of the enterprise. I took time to follow their user guide and filled all the necessary information and data and finally submitted the request for the incorporation of a business name. Paid a sum of 17,000 naira using my ATM through their site which was the cost of registration of the business name and cost of the extra documents. After I did that, I received an email acknowledging the payment that was sent. I then kept waiting for an email to tell me that the business name has been registered or on the next step to take but none came. Days turned in to weeks and I kept logging on my CAC online account to check the status of the registration, but the only time I kept seeing was pending approval. On june 24th after not hearing anything from them, I decided to send a mail to their customer service but to my surprised, my mail was neither acknowledge or replied. I then started making calls until I finally got a number of a lady working in CAC headquarters in Abuja. When I talked to her and explained everything to her, She told me to download the business registration form that I filled and take it to the CAC office in my state for submission and filling. She also added that when going I should go with 2 passports photographs I finally printed all the necessary documents including all the receipts and took it to the CAC office in Uyo, akwa Ibom state on the 2nd of July. When I got the, I was told to wait for the zonal head that she is the only one that can attend to me with respect to the online registration issue. I finally met with her and she told me she wasn’t around when the training was done but she will get across to find out how the process is being carried out that I should come back on the 6th of july. On the 6th of july, I left my town which is eket and drove down to the the CAC office in uyo, but when I got the I was still giving other excuses, and told to come back again on the 8th of july. I decided to give them some grace to sort themselves out so I went back on the 14th of july but to my utmost surprise I was told they still don’t know what to do. I was even told that auditors where around and that she will try and get the issue across to them. Its been over a month since I started the registration process and the whole online stuff is not just as simple as what they promised it to be. In fact it seems am spending more time, energy, and resources to get it done. Would like to know if these is the way CAC wants it to be, also if other people faced similar issues in trying to register their businesses or companies online. Pls would love this to get to front page lets hear the comment and see if this can get to CAC headquarters cos they are not replying to my mails. cc lalasticlala seun

Nice work at op. will also like to state that the major reason joomla is the main CMS used for bulk SMS in nigeria, is because the best SMS component which was developed by afrisoft, was done for joomla only. Over the years hv seen other sms components done on drupal and wordpress but they don't have lots of the features you find on the spc4 component. you get more info on bulk sms from my free guide here : http://bulksmstutor.com/bulk-sms-business-guide/ |
15k is really small for a real bulk sms website cos thats just the price of spc4 without the domain and hosting. I can help you with a full functional and legit bulk sms website at 25k. Check out www.smskernel.com. You can call me for more negotiations 07062359125 RothmasPop: |
