Groundbreaking and construction of commercial farms as Coched and Ekcel has commenced. Richbon auto company construction has taken off too. The good part of all these is that this is purely a private sector financed. Leading the pack in all facets of development is a task that must be strictly adhered to.. Zonacom: Flag off! flag off! flag off! May we witness all the commissioning as soon as possible in Jesus name. |

Whoa! Spreading development to all parts of the state is the way to go. This is one of the reasons no part of Anambra wants out. It feels great being part of this great family.. Anambra must continue to lead the pack in all facets of development.. Gov. Obiano signs $250m MoU for the Ogbunike Cave Resort Development
The State Government has signed a two hundred and fifty million dollar Memorandum of Understanding with Africa Project Finance and Development Limited forthe development of Ogbunike Cave into a World Class Park and Resort.
The agreement was signed at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia. Our reporter, who covered the ceremony, said that under the arrangement, the company will design, develop, finance, construct and operate the state of the art park and tourist destination.
The equity distribution of the Memorandum of Understanding allocates seventy-five per cent to the company, fifteen per cent to the state government, five per cent to Oyi local government area and another five per cent to Ifite Ogbunike, while three per cent will be used for development and social responsibility projects in the area.
Governor Willie Obiano, in his speech, said the project would provide a comprehensive entertainment centre and facilitate total harnessing of the cave and make it attractive for tourism.
Governor Obiano assured that the project would be handled by a World Class Contractor who would give the state quality facilities for tourism and relaxation.
The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Chief Tony Onyima, explained that following Governor Obiano’s passion and directive to transform the age-old cave, that had been ignored over the years, the Ministry and Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, (ANSIPPA) accelerated work in attracting the investor and concluded modalities for the partnership to harness the potentials of the cave.
Chief Onyima said a schedule for the implementation of the project had been worked out and assured that by next year, some of the projects would be ready for commissioning and would transform the state with multiplier effects. The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Joachim Nwagbo, noted that within one year, Governor Obiano has turned the state into a first choice investment destination with effective security system and stable socio-political environment, attractive for direct funding of projects and strategic development initiative.
Mr. Nwagbo said in addition to the Ogbunike Cave project, the company was equally ready to finance an airport project, modern transport Scheme and has one-point-five billion dollars to invest on interstate rail system.
Earlier, the Chairman, Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency and traditional ruler of Umuoji, Igwe Cyril Enweze, said the project would include Nature and games reserve, Water Park, hotels, Museums, retail and dining facilities, amphi-theatre, cultural centre, lake and river sports, among other recreation activities.
Igwe Enweze explained that the project has great benefits for the state, including mass direct and indirect employment opportunities, as well as transfer of skills and technology. http://www.absradiotv.com/index.php/anambra/919-governor-obiano-signs-250m-mou-for-the-ogbunike-cave-resort-development

This what development is about- from infrastructures to aviation to health to education to industrialization etc..whoa! Building Nigeria's biggest and most advanced economy! Job Job Job..Obiano performs ground-breaking for $40m assembly plant
Anambra State Governor, Chief Wille Obiano, at the weekend performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a $40 million automotive assembly plant in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Council Area of the state.
Speaking at the foundation ceremony for establishment of Richbon Automotive Nigeria Limited, Obiano, said the exercise was part of dividends of his administration’s readiness to partner private investors to create jobs and industrialise the state.
He further disclosed that the company, upon completion in 18 months, will be a world-class motor assembly plant in Africa with capacity to build all brands of vehicles including heavy-duty agricultural and construction equipment.
He commended the Chairman of Richbon Group of Companies, Mr. Cajethan Muonagolu, for choosing Anambra State for the establishment of the assembly plant, adding that it would, among other things, create over 10,000 direct jobs for the youths.
The Governor noted that Ozubulu, the host community, will hold four per cent equity in the company while the Anambra State government will have six per cent while additional two percentage will be for maintenance and development of the host community as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.
On the readiness of his administration to further expand the relationship between the state government and private investors, Obiano said his government was already embarking on captive power plants to supply 10 megawatts to help private investors in the state as well as consolidate on security of lives and property to protect investors and their investments in the state.
In his address, the Chairman of Richbon Automotive Industry Limited, Muonagolu, said the construction of the assembly plant with a life span of 18 months will, upon completion, steer the wheels of development across Africa and beyond.
He said, “this project is an ultra-modern assembly plant with three mega lines among which is the heavy-duty and light trucks assembly with production capacity for 10,000 units of trucks per annum, commercial buses assembly plant with production capacity for 2,000 units and construction machinery assembly plant with production capacity for 20,000 units per annum.”
Muonagolu further disclosed that Richbon Automotive Industry Limited has foreign partners like Xiamen, XGMA Machinery Company Limited and Shanxin Heavy Duty Automobile Import and Export Group, which he said are competent automobile industries that have reputation around the world as leading automobile companies.
He said part of the mission and vision of the company include providing affordable, durable and quality automobile trucks, equipment and after-sales services comparable with world-class standard and to create value and satisfaction for their customers.
“We are aiming to become the leading automobile company in Africa that delivers excellence in production and after sales services and we shall create over 5,000 jobs for Nigerian youths and contribute immensely to the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state government.”
The Chairman of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) and the traditional ruler of Umuoji, Igwe Cyril Enweze, described the milestone achievement as impressive since Obiano’s administration began.
Igwe Enweze said ANSIPPA has been saddled with the responsibility of assessing local and foreign investors in the state with a view to knowing their capacity and genuinness to establish companies or industries in the state, adding that the improved security situation in the state has made it possible for investors to troop into it.
He said since the establishment of ANSIPPA, it has increased commercial and industrial activities in the state, adding that “the project bears eloquent testimony that Anambra State is now a safe haven for investors, which is also an indication that the administration of Obiano is ready to protect investors and they will be sure of their investment.”

We shall continue to lead the pack in all spheres of human endeavor.. Anambra Partners Rise Health Corporation of America to Boost Healthcare Delivery
Five days to the first anniversary of his administration, governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has continued to attract investments into the state with the signing of a $1.5 million dollars agreement with an American healthcare firm, Rise Health Corporation, USA.
Under this agreement, Rise Health Corporation will embark on a historic healthcare reengineering project in Anambra State that will usher in a new phase of excellent Medicare in the State. The first phase of the project involves two General Hospitals in the State, one in Ossomala in Ogbaru Local government area and the other in Orumba, Orumba Local Government. Following this partnership, Rise Corporation, USA will undertake extensive facility reconstruction and renovation, human resources management and training, clinical and financial improvements, the supply of medical equipment as well as essential pharmaceutical drugs to the selected hospitals.
The partnership with Rise Corporation is Governor Obiano’s first successful effort to attract serious investors to the health sector in Anambra State. Over the course of the project, Rise Corporation is expected to provide $1.2 million or eighty percent of the project cost while Anambra State government will provide $300,000 or twenty percent of the project sum. Speaking at the agreement signing ceremony in the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, Governor Obiano reiterated his administration’s resolve to turn Anambra State into a model for healthcare delivery in Africa.
According to him, his administration is attacking the challenge of delivering a comprehensive healthcare solution in three major ways – development of medical infrastructure, assurance of the comfort of patients and finally the training and retraining of health workers along with improved conditions of service.
We have selected three General Hospitals across the state, one from each senatorial zone to show our imprimatur. We have started with the General Hospital in Onitsha. When we are done with the current work that is going on there, Onitsha General Hospital will be one of the best in Africa. It will also have a landing pad for air ambulance. When we finish with Onitsha, we will move to Ekwulobia and Enugu Ukwu,” he explained.
Governor Obiano also revealed that his administration had approved about N800 million for the purchase of basic medical items for the 37 general hospitals across the state, saying, “we have done very well with the Mission Hospitals. It is a project started by my predecessor that I have continued and as you are aware, this year alone, we have given them close to N800 million to improve on our health facility.” The governor also revealed that his administration has concluded plans to launch six floating ambulances in order to open up medical access to the riverine communities. “We will also launch 15 flying boats that will assist teachers and health workers in these areas to move freely. We are trying to provide the best healthcare to our people,” he enthused.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the President of Rise Global Health Initiative, the parent company of Rise Health Corporation, USA, Dr. Emeka Okeke had disclosed that after operating an outfit known as the Rise Clinic in Adazi-Ani, in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State for four years, the Rise Group decided to partner with the state government to expand the scope of its operations to other senatorial districts in the state. Dr. Okeke explained that the group’s imminent expansion would grant access to more people who are in need of quality healthcare as well as offer employment opportunities among others.
Also tracing the history of the intervention of Rise Global Health Initiative in the health sector of Anambra State, the Vice President of Rise Health Corporation, USA, Dr. Hien Tran recalled that when the company started in 2012, its objective was to identify communities that are able to build independent health systems on their own and lend them support. “We wanted to find communities that are willing to invest in themselves. And that’s how the partnership between Godwin & Patricia Okeke Foundation and RiseGlobal Health Initiative the parent group of Rise Health Corporation began. Since then we have been able to build the Rise Clinic Nigeria, a comprehensive healthcare center that provides a comprehensive healthcare to communities as well as support to primary health centres in Adazi-Ani,” she recalled.
According to her, Rise Health Corporation had formed a special purpose vehicle that would grow the Adazi-Ani model of comprehensive healthcare center in the three senatorial districts of the state, pointing out that this week, “our focus is really on engaging the community and creating awareness in this reengineering project because it is the communities that will be the drivers of the project. So, what this special purpose vehicle will be doing is not to create something new but to scale up what we have already accomplished in Adazi-Ani.” Also speaking at the agreement signing, the Chairman of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), Igwe Cyril Enweze observed that the project would focus on the formation of a health alliance and the formation of a state-wide emergency network and other emergency support systems.
Throwing more light on the likely benefits of the project, Igwe Enweze explained that “the reengineering of two state owned general hospitals in each coordinating center will improve Anambra State health system and emergency response capabilities and create jobs for Ndi Anambra as well as enhance skills acquisition by improving the quality and productivity of the local workforce.” Igwe Enweze also expressed optimism that the project would play a catalytic role by assisting in the leveraging of resources from the federal government and more importantly from the donor agencies in order to improve Anambra’s health system. The equity structure is 40 % for the state and 60% for Rise Health Corporation.

When is the next Gabros march? Will like to be there to cheer them. with this squad am seeing this guys will spring a lot of surprises. It is clear that Uba is out for real business of soccer.. uduokirika1: Gabros Int’l Fc Sign Malian, Ivorian, Brazilian players
The new proprietor of Gabros Int’l of Nnewi, Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has given the management of the Anaedo Boys a fat sack of money to rebuild a winning club that’s expected to rank amongst the top three on the log. And to take the first step, the club has cast its fishing net very wide and caught some quality players from Africa and across the Atlantic ocean with the signing of players from Ivory Coast and Mali as well as a player from Brazil.
Club Coordinator and veteran football personality Soccer Ambassador, Friday Nwankwo-Kuja disclosed this yesterday in Lagos and gave the names of the first foreign arrivals as Boueti Michel Emmanuel and Koko Armando Christy. They will join the squad before the next league match at the weekend.
He also revealed that the Malian top player will arrive in Nigeria tomorrow while the third, a Brazilian is expected to touch down at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos before the close of work on Friday. Nwankwo-Kuja hinted that several top players from other NPFL teams have dumped their former clubs for Gabros Int’l which is expected to be formally known as Ifeanyi Ubah FC, even for a pay cut, adding that the reason is the new structure of the club emphasizes players welfare.
Meanwhile, Ubah has acquired four brand new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) for the coaching crew and management staff while another two luxury buses have also been bought for the smooth ride of the players to match venues.
He said the gesture is in appreciation of the victory of the club at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four Cup won by the club in Ilorin, Kwara State barely one week after it was bought over from Gabros International. The team also walloped Warri Wolves FC 2-0 last weekend in the first match of the season in Nnewi.

Anambra..leading the pack in all facets of development. Imagine another $100 million (N16billion) being pumped into the state once again? Creating job job job spanning oil and gas, aviation, industrialization and modern agriculture for our graduates. Building the Nigeria's mega state and biggest economy.. Engr. Emeka Okwuosa the owner of Ekcel farms pictured in the tractor he is also the owner of the worldclass OIL SERV (E&P) Obiano’s Agro-Revolution gets Underway as Ekcel Farms Begins $100m Operation
Flagging off the N16 billion ($100m) farm which will exclusively focus on the cultivation and processing of tomato and cassava, Wednesday, Governor Obiano announced that finally, the fire of his administration’s agrarian revolution has started to spread.
According to him, since the arrival of Coched Farms Limited in Anaku in May last year, Anambra State had flung its doors wide open to agro-investors who have since discovered what the state has to offer to the investment community. Said he: “Today, we are on a different turf. Ekcel Farms is investing in Cassava and tomato. It will produce over 150,000 tons of tomato puree. This investment is a blessing to the Omasi people in particular and to Ndi Anambra as a whole. It will attract 13,500 direct jobs and over 100,000 indirect jobs.”
The governor further explained that the company would allocate 5% of its annual profit to the host Community, 10% to the state government and another 5% to the provision of amenities. “Is this not a blessing to Omasi people? Is this not a blessing to Anambra State?” he asked and exhorted the Omasi people to endeavor to play the good host and provide a congenial atmosphere for Ekcel Farms to thrive and fulfill its mission as a going concern.
“I want you to imitate the Anaku people who have been a wonderful host to Coched Farms. Since Coched farms began operations there in May last year, there has not been a single incident between it and the host community. That is the way I want you to relate with Ekcel Farms,” he further enthused.
Governor Obiano also advised the Omasi people to adopt a very friendly attitude to the farm and treat it as though it belonged to the community. “I Want you to take ownership of this company. Treat it as your own. Lend them a timely hand. They have come to develop and build Omasi and you must help them to do it,” he advised.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of Ekcel Farms Ltd, Engr. Emeka Okwuosa had explained that Ekcel Farms Ltd became interested in Anambra State when it realized that the governor’s Economic Blueprint was not a political gimmick but a true blueprint for the development of Anambra State.
“It became very obvious from the way he went about tackling the challenge of insecurity in the state. If Anambra were not secure, Ekcel Farms would not be here today. Most investors like me will not invest in any place where we do not feel secure,” Engr Okwuosa observed pointing out that the governor had yet to spend a full year in office but he had recorded a tremendous achievement.
Speaking further, Engr Okwuosa said, “We are not just here to farm but to set up an industrial and mechanized agriculture. The whole aim is to cultivate, process and market cassava and tomato products. It is obvious that agriculture needs to be developed to become the bedrock of the economy.”
According to him, from the experience his company had gathered from operating in other parts of the country, it had developed a community engagement model that would help to strengthen its ties with the host community. “We shall help the community to form cooperatives and encourage local farmers to cultivate cassava which we shall take from them for processing. This will help the community generate instant revenue.
Engr Okwuosa further revealed that when fully operational, the farm would be producing 21,000 tons of cassava per annum while it would produce 150,000 tons of raw tomato and 51,000 tons of tomato paste.
“We expect that in the next six months we shall be fully on ground here. We also expect that our plant will be fully operational between 12 to 18 months. The plant will be built overseas and shipped to Omasi for installation. But we will commence cultivation prior to that. We are not in this business for the short term. This is a business that will last for decades. I must thank the governor, Chief Willie Obiano whose vision and drive made it possible for us to come here today,” Engineer Okwuosa revealed.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Chairman of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) Igwe Cyril Enweze had expressed optimism that the arrival of Ekcel Farms would attract more investors to Anambra State.
He applauded Governor Obiano for turning Anambra into the safest state in Nigeria and offering a strategic blueprint that offers a clear delineation of priority areas in the Four Pillars and 13 Enablers.
Igwe Enweze also lauded Governor Obiano for leading Anambra to the top of accountability and transparency in governance in Nigeria.http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=108753

Keep hating and dying in silence while we are advancing and creating employment opportunities for our youngsters in diverse sectors spanning Oil and Gas, agriculture, etc. We have left all of you behind. Building the Nigeria's largest economy after Lagos state.. Obiano to Inaugurate $100m Ekcel Farm Project
As part of activities commemorating his one year in office, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State will Wednesday inaugurate a monumental site for the formal take off of the $100 million Ekcel Farm project in the state.
The farm project, which is sited in Omasi, Ayamelum local government area of the state, is a private sector initiative by Ekcel Farms Limited for the development of full scale mechanised agriculture.
Ekcel Farms Limited, a subsidiary of Oilserv Limited would partner recognised global key players in the agri-business industry, and would focus on meeting the millennium investment goals and objectives of the state government through developing a scheme that would facilitate massive agricultural development in the state. This partnership is further expected to take advantage of the economic transformation programmes of the state government in order to fully realise her investment potentials.
A statement yesterday estimated to cost about $100 million the project is to involve the large scale commercial production and processing of cassava and tomato into bi-products for local and export markets.
“The project, which is consistent with the Anambra State vision to become a first choice investment destination and a hub for industrialisation and commercial activities, will expectedly contribute largely to the state's agricultural productivity, industrialisation and development just as it will boost activities in the key areas of produce processing, manufacturing and exports,” it added.
The state government had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in September 2014 with Ekcel Farms Limited.
Ekcel Farms operations would maximise the utilisation of local agricultural raw produce, and by so doing create more jobs for citizens of immediate communities and put more money in their pockets.
Apart from being a major consumer of their produce, Ekcel would expose the local farmers to the benefits of agricultural research in areas of crops utilisation, land use maximisation and opportunities optimisation.
“The product choice is been determined by the domestic and international demands for these processed agro-allied products and will be focused on target markets where there are currently supply gaps due to inability to meet high demands,” it further stated. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/obiano-to-inaugurate-100m-ekcel-farm-project/203703/ |

Firstly you are not from Anambra and you do not know our state more than some of us that are residents. You cannot love Anambra more than you love your state. It is on record that Anambra has the best road network not only the urban centers but road traversing the rural areas. I don't care whatever that you feel because at the end of the day it will be your words against mine and it will still not remove the fact that Anambra has the best road network east of the niger. No matter how much you spread lies it will not diminish that fact and it can never stand! Never! I have listed several roads here and even posted pictures to back them up. There are such roads in Anambra that are so wide that it remains just a demarcation for it to be called a dual carriageway in your definition. I do not want to start drawing comparisons between states here but you have brought other states here in your resolve to start what you cannot finish. This is Anambra thread and if you wish to talk about other states you better go to their thread and start doing that. We are not interested in whatever you believe. Like as I said it will only be your words against mine, while I say that we have more dualized roads and you are on the other hand saying that they have more dualized roads, it will remain that way because I will never agree with you neither will you agree with me and it goes on and on. I posted a particular road in Onitsha Harbour, that road can be split into six lanes if it were to be demarcated to form a dualized roads. We are not talking of other similar roads like that in other parts of the state. Are you aware of the dual carriagesways inside the Harbour? No, you don't because you are not from Anambra and also you are not resident. Harbour estates alone has at least two dual carriageways, of which I will bring the picture shortly. Anambra is not a one-city-state like the ones you mentioned. There are dual carriageways even in some rural areas as I even posted their pictures up here. You can say whatever you want to say but it does not change what is the on ground. I posted this particular road below as an example for you to see. This road was done so wide but because it was not demarcated with concrete it is not a dualized road in your definition. Like as I said you are not from Anambra neither are you a resident so you are not expected to know what you do not know. Leave us alone we have more wide/dualized roads and you are saying we do not have..it is simply your words against ours. Simple! [s] cjrane: I will say in Phyno's voice "onwebero ife i fulu"
Bro, I won't call you names or an ediot because only nonentities want to call people names rather than to tackle the issues raised. You have done and continue to do evil against the great name of Anambra and her illustrious people by your regrettable and thoughtless activities and statements. Anyhow, I don't need you to validate that i do love Anambra with all my heart. But, i must state the facts even if you don't like it.
So, let me respectfully say it again, although Peter Obi did excellently in intra state roads. However, Umuahia not to mention Owerri now have more DUALIZED roads than Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi COMBINED!
Now i am not counting the federal road PH-Enugu road passing through Umuahia as dual carriages in Umuahia. I am counting the roads dualized inside Umuahia. Just like i am not counting the federal highway Enugu-Onitsha expressway passing through Onitsha and Awka as dual carriage ways in both cities.
If you have been to Umuahia or Owerri lately, the equivalence of these major roads in Onitsha such as; Oguta road, Awka road, Limca road, Oraifite street, Ezeiweka street, Port Harcourt road, Ozomagala road, Modebe avenue,Zik avenue, Iweka road,Anazonwu street, New market road, old market road,Bida street, Atani road, MCC road etc in Onitsha have ALL been dualized .
Now you can say all you want and call me Nkita as much as it tickles your fancy, i still do hate Rochas like you do. But, eziokwu is bitter. Rochas especially in Owerri have surprised me with many many many dualized roads beyond my hatred for him.
Now, my man Obiano seems to be determined to build modern world class infrastructure in Anambra. I hope he succeeds. We need world class roads, well demarcated with street light and even traffic lights in the in our major cities of Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi. We deserve nothing less. [/s]

The road leading to Greenwood is off Zik Avenue near Shoprite. As for the price and how to acquire I think you should go to the Ministry of Lands or Anambra Property Development Authority beside the CBN office. But with the type of road infrastructure going on there one need to plan a good budget for land acquisition over there if not it will be strictly for the people with deep pocket.. cnario: I've been hearing so much about this Greenwood Estate, please where is it? Can one acquire a piece of land there? How much? |

You have nothing meaningful to say. Are the roads in question dualized or not whether one inch or two inches? When you were in Awka did you see the dualization work taking place at Greenwood as I posted? You didn't! Did you see the dualization leading to the new Three Arms Zone? You didn't! These are some of the things I will like to show you but maybe because of complex or whatever you dodged me from Awka to Uga and from Uga you evaporated. I have met more than ten Nairalanders. Show yourself if you are for real and genuine.. FreeGlobe: meeting me or not is never the issue. If there are projects on ground, I should be able to see it without meeting you. I don't like too much talk or familiarization. When I was in Awka, I acknowledged and posted pics of projects I saw. |

What of these ones I just posted including the ones at the Greenwood are they also lies? Don't worry I will bring confirmatory pictures from Arthur Eze and Amawbia by-pass. The mini mart around Arthur has been written to vacate immediately because bulldozers are coming. Are you also aware of that development? The only reason I am called a photographer is because I hate speaking long grammar, I like photo-speak more than anything. smh! FreeGlobe: don't believe whatever chino tells you. There is no sign on ground that those roads will be dualized. |

Is the road in question a dual-carriageway or not whether one meter or two meters? Answer my question! You came to Anambra during xmas I begged to meet with you for a joint inspection but you dodged me. You said you were at Uga, I quickly drove down to Uga and informed you the next thing you told me that you have gone as early as 5am. Who is deceiving who?? FreeGlobe: your petty lies are sickening and can only deceive dummies. You posted only 2 roads. The governors lodge road you posted is a single lane as only one lane is being used while the other is locked from public use. the dualized portion of that road is not even up to 2km same as the others you mentioned and there is no expansion going on anywhere. Stop deceiving ignorant people. |

You can download it from the internet. Infact entire city is a complete construction site. Below is the road (High-Tension road) that leads to Macdons from Aroma flyover. It has been scrapped and being expanded/dualized as you can see from the pix below. If you knew this place before it was not as wide as this. In the next one or two years I see Awka taking the shape of Kigali, Dubai etc which it was modeled after. You can take my word for it for an American visa! cnario: Thanks for the informative response. It's so cool to hear Arthur Eze is being dualized. It was never meat to be a single-lane road; I wonder what Etiaba was thinking when she built that road. Amawbia by-pass dualization plan is also a good one. I hope the master plan also covers the dualization on Works road, Okpuno road, INEC road, and the high-tension road in Aroma where Macdons is situated. Please, where can I download the masterplan? Is it the same UN-Habitat one that reminds one of Geography (Map Reading) class back in Secondary school?

As you proceed further inside Greenwood this is what you see. Serious work ongoing. I took these pictures in December when they were actually on xmas holiday. Work has gone beyond this, I will get updated pictures soon.
This sort of standard gauge six lanes dual-carriageways are first of its kind East of the Niger. You can take that to the Supreme court..

More of such expansions are going on in line with the ACDA base-map to compliment the ongoing 3 flyovers under-construction. Aruthur Eze, Amawbia by-pass among others are already marked for expansion/dualization. Below is the ongoing six lanes dual-carriage road networks with walkway and covered drains in and around Greenwood. I will bring more of this pictures as we go on. The fact is that a lot is going on as we speak.. cnario: I've been here for several years now and have avoided the political section like a plague. But come on, some of the things I see here gives me cause to worry.
I am not for or against anybody, I just want good governance in my dearly beloved Anambra.
The picture you posted above is the road leading to Goverment Lodge in Amawbia. Haba! That road is not a single-lane road naw; didn't the Governor convert the other lane for his personal use? Abi you want to tell me you don't know? I doubt that.
I could be wrong, but I know of about Four dualized roads on Awka. The Federal Enugu/Onitsha Express Road, Ziks Avenue, The road leading to the state house of assembly (beside ABS), and another road behind Government house.
To tell the truth, MOST of the roads in Awka are VERY narrow.
I was in Awka recently and saw the construction of Abakiliki road, leading to Ngozika Estate. I was happy with the development, but was disappointed when I saw the same narrow road being built. Is it a crime if we have wide roads in Awka? I though that Abakiliki road would have been constructed like Eric Moore road in Surulere Lagos. Both roads look the same. Moreover, lots of clubs, hotels, and relaxation spots are springing up along that road, why is it being build narrowly? It's not as if there's not enough space, cos there are loads of spaces on both sides.
Awka needs a lot of wide and roads abeg, even if they are single lane-roads, but let them just be wide enough.
