Anambra is to the SE what Rivers and Lagos are to SS and SW respectively. In that sense Anambra represents the SE biggest economy. You can take that to the Central Bank. These states have something in common..huge capital inflow and outflow. Again migration pattern shows that these states has more people trooping to it than others. You can revive all the thread you want but it does not change the real thing on the ground..even the blind can attest to that!

This is just a fraction of what Obi did on Anambra roads,perhaps,we can all agree that Obi excelled on roads construction. But how about health-care,basic education and water schemes? Go to Anambra north and speak ill of Obi and see if you come back alive....haha

Gabros of Nnewi will probably use the pitch as a training ground whenever its completed. Rojenny stadium Oba is also undergoing some rehabilitation and is the main ground of Gabros,who has qualified to play in the Nigerian elite league division. So,once again the Anaedo stars will be getting set to entertain and mesmerize Anambrarians with their famous football artistry and resilience.

Major bridges constructed and completed by the Peter Obi’s administration includes the Odor River Bridge along Nibo – Umuawulu – awgbu – Amaokpala – Oko Road; Ezu River Bridge along Amansea – Ebenebe – Ugbenu – Ugbene – Awba Ofemili Road; Umueze Anam – Mmiata Road Bridge; Ogbanabo Bridge and Amodu Bridge both in Okpuno; pedestrian bridges at Awka and Onitsha among others.

You cant be this daft,there are factors used to measure wealth and if that is applied we wont even put Imo and Anambra on the same category.For your information, Anambra is the state with the largest farm settlement in southeast.Anambra has more banks than all southeast states put together,Anambra is more industrialized than any southeast state. The state has numerous markets with booming economy coupled with great healthcare system,best road network with international standard. A decent basic education program and effective security network. Wealth goes beyond building of beautiful houses. Anambra is on another level,anybody who compares Anambra and Imo must be a very ignorant person. They aren't on the same level and it will do you lots alot of good to stop this nonsense because when it gets down to fact you will lose.

You are very bitter and frustrated. There is no Anambra person on your state thread so leave this place and go there and make it grow. It is only on a reactionary basis that you see the likes of chino on it. But if everybody stick to their state there wouldn't be any problem.

On the issue of the richest SE state..stop crying all day because Anambra is not only the richest SE state but also the biggest economy East of the Niger. You can take that to the bank.

After weeks of Anambra people in the Imo thread saying that Anambra is richer than Imo and Abia, I posted the economic statistics for the southeast and now you all want to cry about Ikengawo, you've wronged us. You know as a fact that it's common belief among Anambra people that they're the richest in the SE (at times the only in the SE as well). I did all of us a favor by putting things in perspective. Are you yoruba people that will brag about things that aren't real for the sake of speaking?

I didn't say a single negative or demeaning thing about Anambra or Anambra people, my village might as well be in Anambra. I don't like anyone using lies to insult someone else and the best way to remedy that is the truth. Till this day there are Anambra people in the Enugu, Abia and Imo threads fuming that Anambra is richer or more developed than all of those places even when it's contrary to the truth. There's no Imo people insulting Abia or Enugu but all of the separate threads have to deal with attack after attack from Anambra people. Don't talk to me about this nonsense unless you want to see the facts and figures.

In keeping with his avowed commitment to achieve increased investment in­flow to the state, Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, said the state has at­tracted about $1.65 billion investment from investors since March 17, 2014 when the new administration was inaugurated.

These investments, he said, were attracted to key areas covering agriculture, hospital­ity and tourism industry, power generation, trade and com­merce, among others.

Obiano, who addressed journalists on the various pro­grammes and achievements as well as challenges facing his government, also disclosed that he had appointed for­mer Aviation Minister, Prin­cess Stella Oduah, as head of Anambra State Airport De­velopment Agency based on her wealth of experience and track record of turning around the country’s aviation industry, noting that his administration had distributed high-yielding seedlings to farmers and en­couraged the formation of co­operative societies for easy ac­cess to farm inputs and credits.

The governor stated that through the Anambra State In­vestment Promotion and Pro­tection Agency

(ANSIPPA), investments had flowed in from the Coched Farms $175 million, Ekcel Farms Limited ($150 million) and Grains and Silos Llimited [quote]($11 million). Others are Del­farm Limited and Songhai Regional Centre from Benin Republic with $200 million investment, West Africa Inter-continental Trade Centre ($320 million) and Cardinal Devel­opers and Trust which took over the completion of Anam­bra’s five-star luxury hotel in Onitsha, among others.

He stated that the invest­ment feat recorded by his ad­ministration in a few months in office was made possible by well-deserved appoint­ment of competent profes­sionals, especially in the areas of financial investment and banking as board members of the Anambra State invest­ment Promotion and Protec­tion Agency (ANSIPPA), led by Cyril Enweze, traditional ruler of Umuoji and an accom­plished professional of interna­tional repute.

The governor pointed out that consideration was being given to an idea of expanding Onitsha Main Market to the River Niger, stressing that four other urban markets had been proposed for urban settlements of the state.

I don't know why there's 4 posters on here that are devoted to trying to prove I hate Anambra because I posted the economic statistics of the SE and Imo was richer. For decades we've been told that Anambra is the richest state and is better than everyone else etc etc so I wanted to put that out to kill the noise.

Anambra is one of my favorite states in Nigeria for sure. You don't have to believe me because I have nothing to prove to you but commending Calabar isn't an attack of Anambra. Relax.

Anambra is looking very sharp from all corners and I am highly impressed. Our state internal roads are unbeatable. I would have loved to see more of the Greenwood but I am satisfied with the least you got and your efforts. Once again,deme and may God bless your family.
