PoliticsRe: Anambra Attracts $1.65B Investment, As Oduah Heads Anambra Airport Project by Schematics: 9:10pm On Dec 29, 2014
It is not true. Owerre airport is more or less a motorpark. Owerre airport can never even be #15 in the country. Those stats are very inaccurate..

Ikengawo:
Owerri airport is #4 more successful in Nigeria and I can tell you now that there are several Imo indigines in the US that don't even know their state has an airport so the success hasn't even begun. While the SE has an abnormally high concentration of airports, Igbos do an abnormally high amount of traveling. Enugu Airport is booming from recent numbers as is Imo and I'm sure Asaba and Port are doing well. These airports are ironically the least well advertised in Nigeria (we Igbos aren't good at advertising). With good advertisement we would probably need to add one in Aba and Anambra to meet demand.

PoliticsRe: Anambra Attracts $1.65B Investment, As Oduah Heads Anambra Airport Project by Schematics: 7:40pm On Dec 29, 2014
You are not making any point. Let those airports shut down so that the air space will not be tight because whether enemies like you want it or not Anambra International Cargo/Passenger airport will stand soonest!

Bringing in billions? Where will that billions enter? Are we still operating regional government? Or you want people from another state to drive traffic for you just because you don't want them to build theirs. Let every state which wishes to build an airport build at the end of the day some of them will naturally shut down because there will be no customer traffic nor business to drive it.

mensdept:
Seriously? Another airport in a already tight airspace. Asaba get airport, Enugu get, Owere, Port Harcourt, Uyo, they all get.

Why not make (and perhaps the one in Enugu is in process) one of these airports World Class and well managed, thereby bringing in billions in the region. Let other areas focus on other things

This is Phase one where they built only bungalows. The fencing are still low and see through.. cool cool

Myluv1:
The height was to deter criminals. Hopefully it starts changing as from now that aura of security is being felt. Govt can as well help enact such laws prohibiting high perimeter fencing at certain places. I could remember when Obi mandated all fences along main roads be pulled down, I witnessed some of them being bulldozed.

Do you know what is GDP= Gross Domestic Product?

What does Imo state as state produce?

Development indices? Since when has proliferation of brothels in all the streets become development? cheesy

My friend you are insulting and embarrassing Imolites here by making people to say what they should have kept under the table.. cheesy

Ikengawo:
Higher GDP and GDP Per Capita as well as higher development indices
PoliticsRe: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Schematics: 5:58pm On Dec 29, 2014
Richer in what sense? Isn't clear to you that you are goofing around here? Someday a jaywalker like you will come and say that Osun is richer than Lagos. That is what you are implying here. It is very laughable to say the least.. grin grin grin grin

Ok we don hear, oya go with that 'notion' if that will make you sleep well tonight..bye cheesy

Ikengawo:
It's because we're intelligent lol. Nna I'm not going to be a part of this Igbo vs. Igbo fight but if you tell me the sky is pink I will say it's blue and that's not an insult to the color pink. Imo state is richer than Anambra state, I'm not going to concede this to spare your feelings because it's the truth.
PoliticsRe: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Schematics: 5:51pm On Dec 29, 2014
But Ngozika estates fencing still exposes the beauty of the houses..

OdenigboAroli:
I think our people just lack ideas, because there are other mean you can use to safeguard your home, which is even cheaper. Like security alarms monitor. When trespassers touches your fence/door it comes on with red and blue light and wakes the whole neighborhood. This to me is more reliable than 20ft fence.

PoliticsRe: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Schematics: 5:34pm On Dec 29, 2014
Ngozika estates is a gated villa. They have a spec concerning fencing..usually very low fence with iron grill..so you could actually see the beauty of the house.

OdenigboAroli:
And they make ot so high that it hides the beauty of the house and thats not good for the city aesthetics. Even if they want to fence the building why cant they design a more fanciful type that will reflect to the streets. And what about wire fence with bushes and flowers planter around it to radiate beauty.

Anambra is the SE biggest economy. Whatever you feel cannot change that fact which even the World Bank is aware of..

Ikengawo:
The do the same in Aba/Abia, to arguably a greater extent.

Imo state has got nothing. The only place they are ahead of Anambra is brothel business, outside that nothing more..

cjrane:
What that Ikengawo guy likes is ATTENTION.

Please let us ignore him. Read his previous posts and see where he is arguing with Yorubas that Federal allocation is the reason why SW states appear to have greater GDP than SE states.
Now he is preaching against his own principle because it concerns Anambra?

Biko, stop responding to the drunkard!

PoliticsRe: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Schematics:
Do not mistake brothel and prostitution business for tourism. People rather go to Calabar and Akwaibom for tourism for now..Anambra will soon join when Agulu Lake Resort is completed!

Anambra has a broad based economy from Industries to commerce to auto manufacturing and now oil and gas, a refinery to go by. We equally have good tourism sites that are being developed to a world class standard. Again Anambra has the largest number of banks outside Lagos and Rivers in Nigeria, which mean there are as much as corporate workers in Anambra as much as Rivers and Lagos.

Orlu-Imo state people are 98% of traders at Headbridge drug market..

Ikengawo:
No, Anambra has the most bank branches outside of Lagos.

I think the issue is that most of Anambra's economy, or a sizeable amount, is in trading, which recycles the same money where as Imo has things like Oil and tourism that brings new money in. Both states have industry as well.
PoliticsRe: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by Schematics:
Do you know that 1/4th of Imo population are resident in Anambra where they earn their living? And you will search like American visa before you see a single Anambran in Imo state. So how could Imo state be richer when all of them are running out of the state like hell? lol

Stop embarrassing yourself here.. cheesy

Ikengawo:
notice how I haven't resorted to insults lol. Tomorrow you will all say I was insulting and hate Anambra because I said, as the facts show, that Imo is richer than Anambra.

Ikengawo, Anambra GDP as at 2011 was over a Trillion. Show us what your Imo state was as at then..

AWKA — THE Minister of National Planning Commission and Minister of State for Works, Ambassador Bashir Yuguda, has commended Anambra State for the impressive rise in its Gross Domestic Product, GDP.
Speaking while presenting the pilot survey findings on the state GDP to the members of the State Executive Council at Governor’s Lodge, Yuguda attributed the phenomenal rise to purposeful leadership of Governor Peter Obi and viability and efficient implementation of Anambra State Integrated Development Strategy – ANIDS.
According to him, the state GDP grew from N735.80 billion in 2009 to N1.005 trillion in 2011, representing about 40 per cent growth.
On the pilot survey, the minister said the scheme conducted by the National Planning Commission with the National Bureau of Statistics in seven states selected from the six geo-political zones, was being implemented in two phases to be completed by December 2014.
He said data were generated based on production and income approaches, with agriculture recording 30 percent; industry, four percent; and service sector, 66 percent.

Odenigbo please when next you come to Nigeria, I will like you to buy a land at Ngozika estates..it is a place to be. The neighborhood can only be compared to VGC. The Phase Two is on another level altogether.. cool

This hood is strictly for big boys like you.. cool

OdenigboAroli:
And you are correct ; Obi did more roads in the north because the" poverty mapping" carried out during his first tenure revealed Anambra north is the poorest region and the reason why. These people are mostly farmers with very fertile soil but they have no means of transportation. I.e roads and bridges. They were also mainly subsistence farmers, hence the resolve to build roads to these farming villages, give them tractors, seedlings and soft loans. And my nigga,THATS CREATION OF WEALTH RIGHT THERE.
