Olyboy16:
do you have free time? cos i've got a crazy game idea thats gonna sell really good! but its a lotta work, it involves some pretty good AI(i can handle this). also it involves the development of custom hardware(being developed). i could create it on my own but 3D gaming is an area i havent bn opportuned to explore due to my schedules, also, you guys are hard to come by in this part of the world.(i hope u're in Nigeria). if you think you can get the time to take up this project of mine, please reply this thread.
We are in lagos, if you need accomodation, we've got one for free!
BTW, we are a new startup, you can visit our website (under heavy construction) http://southernwellslimited.com
. thanks
What you guys need is really a team. For such a custom game, am afraid one person is not enough. For example, you would need a team of artists to model, rig and animate the models you would require.
The assets the OP used would not do.
ProgrammingRe: UPDATED: Third Person 3D Game Developed In Unity3d by Scholar01:
Nice work Bro ... I recognize some of the assets used. (Am even using that guy with the face cap as the main character for one game like that — I think I would have to search for another gangster looking character sha )

Try to work on the colliders on the buildings (the player was walking through them)

Also which asset do you use for the third person controller? I think it's really cool

Art, Graphics & VideoWhatsapp Group For Game Developers (2D/3D Artists, Animators, Programmers...) - by Scholar01(op): 9:36am On Sep 20, 2016
I noticed there is really no WhatsApp group for game devs (maybe there is). So I decided to create one.
So this group is for dedicated game developers cos we are few in a vast world of nigerian developers.
So if you are a 2D/3D game developer from any genre, platformer, fighting, racing, adventure, shooter, FPS, TPS, etc., you are welcome.
If you are an artist, programmer, animator, tester, level editor, publisher, script writer, etc., you are very welcome.
Drop your number below for me to add you.
If you don't wanna share your number publicly, then contact me.
070--3049--7862
If you are on mobile, you can join the group here.

I agree with @Scholar01.. I don't believe in limiting your market by making "by Nigerians for Nigerians" games.
I've been wondering though.. Why do so few naija game devs develop for PC/web?
Games for PC and consoles typically require more than one or two persons, and to the best of my knowledge, there's not one game company in the bloody whole of Nigeria. I just wonder why the lack of interest in the 3d world in Nigeria. Perhaps some see it as for kids or something

Sketch looks good but they are all anime characters, can't we get our own characters ?
I don't have enough time for a detailed response (am actually working on a game presently), but i will tell you that I don't belong to "our own brand" band anymore. Virtually every nigerian website, application and game that I have seen tries to portray the message 'this one na naija product'. But unfortunately, it's not easy to make money off nigerians.

The two main ways to making money from digital products are through adverts or sales/in app purchases. A lot of our people hardly play games with their network on (limiting the first one), and even if they click, you can't compare a nigerian click with say that of US

Also, we hardly buy pay for anything online (including yours faithfully), so making sales/ in app purchases off nigerians na die. As for me, I just dey crack my brain on how to get more of US/ Western european users as they are much more eager to part with their cash

web development; the only part in programming that doesn't interest me. Well its nice to know many languages, buh kinda odd you'd pick a completely unfamiliar language over one you are suppose to be good with... Anyway, it seems almost no one is using JavaScript for unity(especially in Nigeria).

however, Its nice Nigerians are starting to venture in game development.... BTW, i took a peek at you profile and saw your game, I hope to play it soon, and also hope it doesn't disappoint
Hmmmm, it's best not to get your expectations too high lol. Am working on a major update on the math game sha to see how I can make it more interesting and appealing. Thanks to my sizeable collection of assets that makes a lot of things much easier

I wonder why nobody answered this question.

But Bro do you honestly think you can do something like this?
ProgrammingRe: C# Vs C++ Game Programming by Scholar01: 10:30pm On Aug 24, 2016
@ Preboy, I haven't looked properly into unreal and am still quite new to game dev. But I think that part of the reason why unreal games often comes out with better graphics is due to legacy reasons.

I will try to explain what I mean. Hardcore game developers tend to prefer c++ and may even look down on others not using it and naturally, it communicates to the artists afflicted with the company. Thus you find the industry heavyweights and developers with 15 years plus experience in the unreal continent while unity3d (whose one of the main objectives is to make game dev as easy as possible) having a lot of newbies and fewer game veterans.

There are assets on unity3d store that does (though still inferior) what blueprint does and there's even rumours that unity3d would be having it's official version soon. That being said, I still think that given enough skilled artists, you can match any unreal game with unity 5
