I don't think anyone should continue discussing with you on this, because of your lack of knowledge on the said subject. Asaba is a great Igbo city (irrelevant opinions wouldn't change that).
For it to be clear, Asaba isn't amongst the first 4 Igbo cities but it's one among the 8 Igbo cities.
Just like all Igbo cities, There are sub groups of Igbo people who has each city. Examples i.Abakaliki City is mostly on Izzi land.
ii.Aba on Ngwa land.
iii. Owerri on Owerri Land
iv. Enugu on Nkanu land
v. Onitsha metropolis on Onitsha, Oba, Obosi land. Etc.
So you don't have any logical arguments when you talk about grabbing lands.

Just like all other states that where created, Anioma will be created for geopolitical balancing. Logically looking at it, Anioma is a very viable state. It has already existing Capital and the population for it.

Asaba one of the great Igbo Cities. It's renowned for it's nice estates just like Enugu. Onitsha and Asaba are complimentary cities.

Anioma State will be a done deal. We understand the challenges ahead but it's a done deal.

The people whose story are more believable are the ones that called themselves Anioma..Some of them migrat d from Benin, while some from Igala that is a fact let's not deciev ourselves.
Some migrated from the mainland Igbo, like from present day Anambara and Aro sub groups.

So the entire Anioma cannot be entirely Igbo ancestry, but many are Igbo stocks, for example, history has it that, when the people of Onitsha arrived they met some Igala communities at the bank of the river, while the people of Obosi has the majority of the mainland which the settled .
The people of Oguta in Imo state came from Benin that's a known fact, but due to years of co existence they are IGBOS today, so if the Anioma have lived longer enough with the IGBOS and adopted Igno culture why won't they be IGBOS just like the Onitsha and Oguta people.

The English has such history, the Spanish and Portuguese etc there is no place in modern society that has not had migratory interaction with other tribes in the course of history. The problem with Igbo is Nigeria and it's agenda. I know some people may think I'm cookoo with this assessment but evidence shows otherwise. Look at Anioma state, this state creation should have been treated as a state creation project to make SE 6 states region , but it was tactically turned into tribal effort. With continuous propaganda upon propaganda why it shouldn't happen.
My sentiment is that I truly trust our current Igbo leadership to read in between lines and I have faith in them more than ever.

The first question you will ask yourself about the Ijweres issue is that, why will a man migrate from Benin kingdom bearing an Igbo name? The man they called Akalaka, was their ancestors according to them, bears an Igbo name, why not Osaro or igbenovia.

Ijweres ancestors migrated from Nkwere present day IMO state just like how Jaja was from Amaigbo in Imo state today, the people of Etche migrated from Ngor Okpala present day IMO state, while some come from the Aro stock..But the point is if the decide to re write their history and say they are not IGBOS that's their business and I have no issues with that.

We all know their history. But the relevant thing here is Ikwere as of today is a big liability for the Igbo in general than asset. South east as she is today is very vibrant both resource wise and economically. We should remember around 2011or so when we had mass aku Ru ulo movement(renewed) and where we are today, then there is no reason why we bring up these topics. We should only be very proud of telling our own narratives.
I'm one of the proudest Igboman alive, hence my sentiments about the region and I can assure you that no one can victimize Igbo again. Before I was all for Igbo togetherness outside south east but my stands have continuously waned for the reason that those Igbos outside SE have less interest for their collective development at heart talk more of Igbo one.
Though I would love to see Anioma state in SE for the long run but I don't really want divisive politics inside south east like what we had amongst leaders live inglorious Umahi, T.A orji and Amadi Ikwuechighi.

An Ikwerre man for instance has never for a day accepted to being Igbo. Other related tribes denying Igbo started recently. For an Ikwerre man it was before, during and after the war. There is no history anywhere of any igbo community connections with any Ikwerre community. None! No history of any igbo connection with the Ikwerres. As a matter of fact what Igbos speak today as general igbo was copied from Ikwerre land. Ajayi Crowder used Ikwerre language and a little of Owerri language to fame to the popular general Igbo.

Equity in regional representation. 18 senators from other regions against 15 senators, what are the odds. Nigeria is a representative country, and the less representation the less federal presence which south east has been grappling with for decades. The truth remains that every region should have equal representation as it will reduce call for marginalization as well as eliminate the idea that some are second class citizens.

Geopolitical Regions where created with inclusiveness in mind. If you are sincere to yourself, it is naturally logical that south east region gets 1 more state. This will help in both representation of each region and inclusiveness.

I'm of the opinion that any state that should be added to south east should not be from rivers or Delta but from cross river state. South east region must have six states for equity. I don't give a dim about tribe. South east cannot afford identity crisis

This is logic, if 4 out of the six geopolitical regions has 6 states, 1 has 7 states and the last has 5 states, it becomes normal if the region with the least states request for 1 more state. We run a representative government in Nigeria and every region must be represented equally at least. There are viable options of states that can be created to complete South east region. I don't understand what you mean by grabbing lands.

What you people don't know is that when it comes to State creation, it will cut across the country. If an additional state is created in the east, four will be created in the north and either two or three in the west. It can never be equal. In terms of land mass and population,we are not equal
