It was the worst mistake ever by those Islamist. So much miscalculation on their side. They based their assumption on a weak and divided America and an Isolated Israel. Unfortunately it's was the other way around.
Iran is still making similar mistakes now. Their resistance is rooted on politically weakened Trump/America but will be disastrous if Republican win come mid term election... America does not seek to win but to control and all indications are showing that they have strategically achieved that. Syria,Iraq and Lebanon has been tamed in large part. Qatar,UAE, Bahrain, Saudis and other gulf states has common interest as America and are allies. Israel has come to stay as a recognised state in Middle East by gulf nations. Iran is technically a pariah state. I see no other outcome than subjugation or Cubanization for Iran. No amount of propaganda will save them.
