oh no please stop dishing out these type of informations, basically the v.o's don't check but we have heard cases where they check every documents a person took there including hotel reservation, you are meant to advice people to be on a safe side and not this type of half cooked advice, it won't hurt if he books the hotel and cancels after everything but let him go to the interview over prepared than under prepared abeg

Both hotel and flight reservation i will get them without actually paying or putting my actual credit card

All the hotel booking sites I've seen always request for credit card info before the room can be reserved...am I doing something wrong or visiting the wrong sites?

book a flight before interview?? Or after interview? If you are going visiting you have to book a return ticket or else they probably might just send you back if they see you on a one way ticket they will think you don't want to return to your country

Since you paid online you could get a screen grab of the final receipt page that was issued you online by GTbank.

also dont forget to go with a passport photograph (Just one)
those touts outside the embassy car park will try to confuse you that you need 2 passports
its a blatant lie (As i approached the embassy on my interview day they played the prank on me)

2) Appointment Confirmation page
3) GT bank receipt

After been scammed or not entirely scammed, i finished all the online ds 160 form filling + Visa Payment via online because i use Gtbank, so everything was relatively easy with house help off course, so when i got to appointment booking on 6th feb, i saw tons of available dates on same febuary, even 10th feb, i was surprised, was thinking available dates will be like a month or two ... Anyways, i haven't printed anything & my interview is month end.. Is the Confirmation Page

Good u paid into his account but next time endeavor to get ur receipts cous he could still deny the payment as ur rent.

Go plead with ur landlord(which in my case I won't do), if he refuses don't fret about it.
When the 1 month elapses, he will certainly come again then tell him u ve not got a place yet nd u need extra 5month to complete the mandatory 6month.

Sure with this he would get where u re driving to, if u like when it's 6month take him court, this will give u another 6month to 1yr free accommodation.

Just start making arrangements for funds to move cous the above ain't going to be easy, the landlord will find every way to make ur living there Hell...

please be a little more explicit, are the both of you applying together or does the person have a visa already, if the person has a visa already and you both are travelling together enter the persons name in the section of persons travelling with you, but if the person is also seeking a visa the person has to fill another form because pay her visa fees and schedule her interview, cheers

Yes you can just make sure you have paid for the ticket to Houston before you leave naija and also be ready to explain why you flew to NY instead of houston.
When I got to the U.S I was not asked why New York because I'm suppose to land in Atlanta.
