Thank you for your most responsible analysis.

Let's go back to history a bit (even though it had been disallowed as a subject by the Ministry of Education under Jonathan's regime...)

Whites value their tradition, there is a clause.

Worldwide, mature religionists and non religionists enjoy heritage. They enjoy festivals. I am not a moslem and I enjoy Ileya celebrations like crazy, even though I don't believe in what they are celebrating.

Same goes to alot of other religious festivities. Non believers and all.

But there is a clause. We enjoy these things because they are heritage, and not because they do us any good.
Tradition will always remain.. No matter what. It has existed for years and will continue to do so. Though a lot have changed like you said. So as the traditional religion is also updating itself but there are some things that can't be removed. Oro is one.. Mind you Oro is just punishment given to those who refuse to obey the order. No one has ever been killed due to Oro... (Oro gbe o)

PoliticsRe: The Truth Behind The Deceitful Story Of Abobaku And Ile Ife: Ife Indigenes React by scully95: 3:45pm On Aug 16, 2015
micronut:
The death of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, has resulted in many allegations and denials to surface. The palace officially announced the monarch’s death on August 12, Wednesday. The Royal Traditional Council of Ife maintained that the Oba is alive and in good health for two weeks after reports about his death surfaced.

While controversy rages about the Abobaku, who was reportedly said to have run away after the death of the monarch, Social media is awashed with so many fallacies and jokes. Trust Nigerians, always bringing joke out, from every events, but much as we may want to be humorous about this, we should also not join hypocrites in joking with every single thing, (Especially if it lacks any iota of truth), who knows, it could be someone close to us in future.

Have started seeing tags like "Run away abobaku", i was just laughing, read many tweets saying "The abobaku is smart" "Aregbesola should pay the abobaku", Others saying, is the abobaku blind when he was taking the title? i just. laugh at their sheer ignorance, ignorance can transform to a full blown disease, from epidemic to endemic if caution is not put in place.

I smiled at the level of ignorance we sometimes portray on salient issues of national interest....When i saw some picture posted by a nairalander, i just wish media reporting would be better one day.

In this present day,it is appalling how people just use pictures they see around to support the useless junks they write, simply because they know this would appeal to the public. Am a Muslim and would never be a party to hypocrisy. This how they would bring pictures and videos of Liberia and somalia war and tag it with Islam (you see caption like "Muslims beheading a christian in Yobe"wink.

It's most unfortunate that we don't do our findings very well before joining badwagons in making someone look bad just because we don't subscribe to their way.

Note: My analysis here is in no way to appraise any religion class but to admonish us to be cautious before we judge people unfairly.

Now to the issue on ground, the issue of "Abobaku" started on social media just like joke, where a faceless Nigeria disguised as abobaku tweets that he is on the run because Aregbesola has not paid his salary, funny you would say? Yes an Abobaku on tweeter and who does that?

As a long time student of knowledge, have learnt to understand that few percentage of the Older generation has embraced ICT, with bulk of them adhering to majorly Facebook. Even few among we so called youths make use of Twitter, skype, instagram among many other social networking platforms. How much an abobaku who would have been a stalk illiterate ( If there is even an abobakuin the first instance). As an Indigene of the ancient town, i can tell you that even 90% of the palace chiefs are stalk illiterates, except few that they may have primary school leaving certificate.

Am a Practicing Muslim that preaches "Religion Tolerance" everywhere i go, i do not see myself as All-in-all, it's a privilege to be in Islam, all i can do is to use characters and acts to display the beauty of Islam to whoever cares to embrace them, coercing people through gimmicks could be inimical.

Let me set it straight, "No such thing as Abobaku in Any Yoruba land again and even in Ile-ife" I challenge you to come with your evidence and i stand to be corrected.

As an indigene of ile-ife with requisite knowledge of Ife chieftaincy and Culture... It is important to make many Nigerians know that the issue of"Abobaku" was last witnessed in any Yoruba land, almost like 4 generations ago, Ooni never had any Abobaku, and nothing of such even in the days of his immediate predecessor, Sir Adesoji Aderemi who died in 1980. The closest to Ooni of Ife in any form or loyalty rank is called "Sarun Odua" and he is even an High chief. I wish Nigerians should fear God, as they have nothing to gain by discrediting YORUBA culture, just to make a point. If there is anything of such, tell us the name ofthe bearer. People should not just sit in their room and start twitting what is never the truth..

BELOW ARE THE COMMENTS FROM CONCERNED IFE MEDIA PERSONALITIES AS GIVEN BY MR FATAI ADIYELOJA (G.M NTA SAKI)

Lanre Akintilo commented on his Facebook account about what now happens with the trusted stewards of the Obas. He said: “ Quite a number of no-truths and distortion has been written regarding the eloping of an entity called ‘Abobaku’. In Ile-Ife, the person so referred to is called ‘Saarun’,head of the ‘Emeses’ who are stewards to areigning Ooni. The Saarun is the head andclosest aide who must go everywhere the Ooni goes. It follows in the days of hold that uponthe demise of an Ooni, his most trusted aide andsteward will be interred with him to continue his life of service to his master and as well show hisloyalty.“I personally know the Saarun that served late Oba Adesoji Aderemi (late Chief YayaArasanmi) While Oba Aderemi passed away in 1980, his late Saarun passed on in 1987, andseven clear years afterwards. The current Saarun will not be buried with late Oba Sijuade as the practice has since been stopped in Ile-Ife. So there is no need to elope. I am a proudson of Ile-Ife and I am well grounded in thetraditions and cultures of my people. It will not happen.
”Balogun Jr., the senior manager of business development at Global Media Mirror Limited, publishers of National Mirror, also reacted to the Abobaku saga.

Read what he has said on the development:“ When the Abobaku saga started, I was so sure someone was just being funny, I mean, anybody with a passing knowledge about Yoruba history would surely get the joke. But days later, the story was still trending, and somehow, some very senior, and well respected journalists also join the fray.“I can excuse the quasi or emergency journalists, those who have gained notoriety and fame neither for their unique turn of phrase nor for any intellectual bent, heck, some cannot even write a complete sentence to save their lives, but just because news reporting, like almost every thing else, has been dumbed down to sound bites.

“I can also indulge those who are not Yoruba, the Omoluabi concept is complex enough for some freeborn, not to talk of strangers. The first thing I expect an average educated and enlightened mind to do is to mentally fact check the story.

“The Abobaku concept is exclusively an Old Oyo template, and was never a practice in Ife. Even in Oyo town, it is no longer in vogue. Any student of Yoruba history would tell you that the practice of the crown Prince of Oyo dying with the Aalafin was the immediate cause of the Yoruba wars, which lasted a hundred years. “I know fake news is the order of the day, but sometimes you begin to question our ability for critical thinking, spreading a story because it is popular, not because it is true, is one of the pitfalls of using the social media as a primary news source.”

My Conclusion

We should endeavour to get our facts right and never join badwagons to Paint Our Culture red. We should only condemn what is in humane and not be an advocate to issues that makes mockery of the revered"Traditional Institution".This is not the best way to correct certain norms, a false alarm is not only detrimental but also undignifying.

Ife People are Versed and knowledgeable Yoruba People and would not condone or be part of any Fetish Practice, the media and those behind the unfound social noise should be aware "Life hereafter" or "Atunbotan". We should not raise dust where there is none.

thesame people you condemn brought education to you now you don't have use what belong to them because missionaries brought education to nigeria and they were christians.
Lies..Massive lies.. They brought their own form of government ok. Their own form of brainwash (Religion), their own form of disease (Like EBola - the most recent one and then it was smallpox, Biological warfare.. Do you even know that there is no Malaria Abroad.. EUROPE, AMERICA,ASIA AUSSIE ? - ).. Their own form of stealing and corruption.. Ok learn your history very well. They were the intruders.. And will always remain so..

Did you forget there was Oyo Empire ? What is happening today is not new thing, this has always been the issue long long long time ago.. The issue in the Middle east. In Yo'ooba land it was war zone between Ile ife and Oyo. Oyo won the war against ile ife. Which at the time did not pay any gratitude or tax to Ile ife...

About the Education.. It's not until you go to school that you become educated. Education is learning new things and how to do new stuff via research.. Mechanics in Nigeria.. Abroad, mechanics are earning more money than a Bank teller or cashier. #fact

During the Kush empire, there was a lot of Structures I see today in painting in other part of Africa.. These structures are no longer there and it was also everywhere in the western part of Africa but very big kingdoms..

(this is my theory) - All those structures were built by them right ?? At the time, there was nothing like Isreal on the world map..OK..
So learn your history.. See example of the structure in Kush Empire and map bellow.

why can't you reject the cloth they gave you because your forefathers were naked and you too try to stand on their go on and wear leaves as your clothes. You rejected their religion then reject their civilisation and remain primitive like a baboon.
No one in the history of Nigeria could ever point to any time that the people of Yoruba were naked. In all the histories. No one I repeat.. Even when your Adam and Eve fairy-tale story was written.. They were covering up with leaves.. That was never the case in Yoruba ile ife that was founded by Obatala, Oba tata, oba tagun tagun.. Who founded your motherland in the south east ?? Jesus right or adam and eve ?? Lost identity..

Using aro and adire to make cloths have been part of Yoruba culture long long time ago. I am not sure about the Igbo. We use to make our own adire.. OK

Now going back to the days of Kush empire that was popular even before the Egyptian Empire.. There was Kush empire but this history has been erased by the intruders that came to take away your great great grand father's voice.. Ok..

it is because Egypt was or became too powerful and they could not erase it you still have those Ancient building standing.. The ones in Africa were erased and their history re-written.. So we had civilization at some point.. OK.. learn your roots..

Histories are written and re-written by the victors. Living a fake identity also comes with the price of believing in fake histories. Your history was re-written no wonder you are too lost to even re-investigate your past.. What went on before your Christ BC...

That is another massive propaganda against the religion of the land. The religion of Ifa my destiny. No Orisa in Yo'ooba land uses human blood for Sacrifice. use your brain sir or ma did the community or family complaining about the burning or is there against? If there is none why can't you keep quiet and face your own problem.
So you are the terrorist boko haram hiding under the same ideology right. Everyone is condemning the backward act of the pastor and you choose to continue supporting an act of terrorism. This is why we in the SW are too advance and tolerant. We accept everything but will never accept a pastor burning a shrine or vice versa.

This is the height of using a borrowed identity. You can continue living in denial, in other cultural identity but the moment you try to go off the limit, we will surely put you where you belong immediately. We are in the 21st century where people irrespective of religion live side by side. I have lived in the same room with people from Nepal. They still practice their rich traditional religion or culture.

Now that is respecting people and taking them for who they are but not condemn them or use all sorts of propaganda (Pegan for example, Abobaku of recent) against their religion. The maximum red-line is what this pastor just did and you are here supporting this backward nonentity. A pastor that stands to gain nothing by his acts.

This is Africa, Nigeria for that matter with rich cultural background and long time tradition. Can you dare go abroad and say because you practice one Ifa and decided to born down catholic church or even an Orthodox Russian patriarchate church ?

No this is too much and it has just one meaning. Terrorism because if the followers decided to backfire, it will turn to war. We are advance for crying out loud and the only way to live peacefully is by tolerating each other but not to this extent. This is too much.

I am for traditional religion. I would do anything to burn down 50 churches if any pastor tries to touch any of our shrines. Shrines that are even world wide known.. Thanks to Wole Soyinka.

This is to tell you how serious I'am taking this. I am not an Igbo but it touched me like my blood brother. I will continue to make sure this gets to the right department for review. What nonsense ?? Typical Example of Foreign Religion marketers using Propaganda like this against Traditional Cultures In Nigeria/Africa

Non of the gods or orisa in yoobland demands human blood for whosoever.. That is fact and Ooni of ife in his world is a god in Yoobaland.

The only kind of people that tolerate virtually everything are the yooba people.. But they wont tolerate this continuous propaganda against the religion and tradition. Enough they say is enough..

Again Non of the 402 Orisas require human blood for scarifies, this is mere propaganda perpetrated by the foreign religion marketers to turn most Africans against their/your tradition or traditional religions and cultures. They did this to the Ibgo people and their traditional religion and their gods is no longer relevant.(Plus they are still burning down shrines as we speak https://www.nairaland.com/2523478/religiouswar-against-traditional-religion-anambra ). We will not accept this in yoobland land anymore.. Read the Propaganda bellow.

TITTLE OF THE PROPAGANDA: The Ooni’s Burial Rites People Are Scared Of Talking About See How Many Human Heads Will Be Used To Bury Him
Source of the Propaganda - gossipmill

After denials by the Oba’s palace on the reported death of the Ooni of Ife days back, officials of the palace has finally come out to admit thetruth that Oba Okunade Sijuwade is dead – some of us already knew this all along. officials of the palace appealed to residents to heed the restriction order from the palace. “The proclamation of the demise of Ooni will be made public during the Oro festival, being the final rites on the demise of Ooni of Ife. “The residents of the ancient town are therefore urged to keep away from the streets between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4p.m. during which the Oro deity will be out.

“With the announcement, people are advised to stay indoors for the period when the Oro will be out,” Adereti said. This development has thrown up questions about the activities that will take place during the rites period. It is common knowledge in the Yoruba tradition that a monarch ‘cannot embark on the journey to the great beyond’ unaccompanied. So, who accompanies him? Not goats or cows. The Daily Times had reported on Monday the ‘fears of the residents that an important ingredient for the burial rites was missing, a phrase they interpreted to mean the Aboba ku, one who dies with a monarch. During the lifetime of the monarch, a person is named for the role and is said to enjoy immense benefits with the monarch. ‘At the demise of the traditional ruler, the Abo ba ku meekly surrenders to death.’

The palpable fear is that lives will have to be sacrificed with the Oba’s death. When asking of my take of the veracity that the Oba had died, someone stated that the reason for delaying the announcement of the Ooni’s death was not to jolt people into taking cover since ‘heads were needed to bury the monarch.’ Whilst in the past only females were barred from movements during the Oro acts, and timing was restricted to the dark periods of the nights, men are equally barred and the timing will span 9 am – 4 pm, a period when businesses, students, market women, travelers and the likes are expected to be active. What are the far reaching implications of confining people to their homes on this occasion? Let me make it clear that I don’t believe that all traditions should be discarded in the name of civility – I don’t frown at palm wine being used in traditional marriages.

At the same time, I don’t believe I’d endorse my son marrying a man just because we are in the 21st century, although I won’t murder him if he so chooses. But when tradition is in conflict with the rights of a people and humanity, then it should be revisited. This situation raises both constitutional and moral issues, besides religious.

Constitutionally, some parts of Section 35 of the 1999 Constitution states “Every person shall be entitled to his personal liberty and no person shall be deprived of such liberty save in the following cases and in accordance with a procedure permitted by law,” while part of section 41 of the 1999 Constitution states: “Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit therefrom.” On the premise of the above, on March 16, 2015, Justice Mohammed ruled as unconstitutional the act of barring citizens from movements on the last Saturday of the month due to environment sanitation. It should be known that the Ife town, unlike ancient and medieval times, is metropolitan in nature and also a transit place for many travelers from and to other parts of the country. What basis would a palace have to override the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria? On a moral plane, some, including some very ‘educated people,’ have argued that ‘this is tradition and should be respected.’ But come to think of it, would that not amount to hypocrisy if same people condemn the traditions of female genital mutilation; forced child marriage; tribal marks and other obviously outdated traditions? Times are changing and it is certainly frenetic to endorse this tradition that is mostly clandestine in nature, even for a day. It was a tradition to kill twins back in the days. But when Mary Slessor embarked on her missionary tour among the people of Okoyong and Efik in Nigeria, it was soon learnt that this tradition no longer had a place in their society. Twins are now safe to live as the voice of reason was heard in Slessor.

I shudder to think what will happen if a life threatening emergency arises at Ife on this day of curfew imposition that requires transporting a person to the hospital. What will become of such a life in a town where hospital ambulances aren’t as effective as should be, with people resorting to taxis to transport their sick? How about travelers who might drives through this town without getting wind of this curfew? The ‘Oro’ festival and others like it across the country have given real concerns to citizens, some of whom have seen headless bodies that are said to be that of victims who have not heeded or known of imposed curfews like this. In the event that a person wanders into the Oro festival in Ife, would the palace officials arrest and hand the person over to the police for prosecution? You and I have a fair idea of what becomes of such a person.
This tradition involves the faith of a people, and when a religion denies others their rights to safety, then such should not hold, especially in a secular country like Nigeria. It is indeed antediluvian, for people to fear for their lives when a traditional ruler dies in this era, when the rest of the world is now thinking of how to place a man on Mars. Share if you condemn festivals that endanger people’s safety and lives. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 the announcement will be made.

The Obawara of Iwara-Ife, Oba Layi Adereti, on Monday said the official proclamation of the death would be done between 9 a.m. and 4p.m. on Wednesday, during which time, movement within the Nigerian University town, where the Obafemi Awolowo University is situated, will be restricted. Adereti, who is also the head of the dreaded Ife Oro cult, said all residents of the ancient town whether male or female must remain indoors during the rites. He said after the Oro rites and proclamation, subsequent rites would follow

Please beware of Invented story or fabricated one. Ask the people sharing fake story about the personality behind the Abobaku? People spreading fake story and propaganda against the religion or tradition of the land should have find out the meaning before buying into the fabricated story

Who's personality is behind the so called “Abobaku” ?
Abobaku is a word and an expression you can use for so many things proverbially. It is not a title.

Examples:
E mi o le se “Abobaku Obirin” meaning I will not die because of a woman.
Mi o le se “Abobaku Oga” that is I will not die for the boss.
Most of us are carried away by western culture…including their religion, fashion, music, language just to mention a few.

Lets learn about our rich tradition first before a foreign one. You cannot continue using a borrowed identity. Lets stop spreading the massive propaganda against our tradition, against the traditional religion or culture of the land.

I discovered this Ikoko Sango in a museum cage at the Mint Museum, Charlotte, North Carolina. For how long shall they continue to cage our sacred objects like prisoners of war in museum captivity?

Christianity EtcAny African Who Accepts Foreign Religion, Christianity Or Islam Is A Traitor ? by scully95(op):
Thought Provoking- Any African Man/Woman who accepts foreign religion either Christianity or Islam is a traitor to his/her motherland?

There has been massive Propaganda or foreign religion advertisement campaign against the religion of the land in Africa/Nigeria. Most of the Yoruba Film is direct insult to IFA religion (Ifa and all the Orisas) and part of the massive propaganda campaign against the religion of the Land.

This is just creating more future puppets to the host of these foreign religions being marketed in some Yoruba films of today. A word to the wise is Enough. Wont it be better if they act some good film about our histories and our dear motherland cultural tradition/Religion. Saworoide for example is one or Orisun – Latest Yoruba Movie Drama 2015 Full

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IwQU0YW_b8

Religion is like a tool to controlling the masses idleness not only that but also a way to create fear in them to thinking there is some life after death or there are consequences to every bad one does. Make no mistake, religion is a civilization, either Ifa, Odinani, Islam, Christianity. All share one thing in common and this is fear of thinking twice before doing bad thing to fellow human or even animals in other religions.

For example, to steal from someone’s farm, if one is a christian or Muslim, one must have read the Bible or Quran that one wont go to heaven for stealing. That is the element of fear in Christianity and Islam that will make the person think twice before stealing from the Farm.
The same thing if the offender sees a red thing that looks like JUJU on the farm. Before stealing it, the person will have the same fear that something bad may happen. Here the Juju fear management did not say the offender would have to wait until judgement day. It’s a feeling that happens almost instantly and this is why Juju is more effective than the Heaven and hell type of fear that the offender has to wait until the Judgement day if in any case he or she does not get caught by the Police for doing bad thing to fellow human being or Animals.

Pretext or Tool for Division or Succession
Religion is also a way or tool to gathering more allies or otherwise potential puppets serving the interest of their host first instead of that of the National interest or the direct interest of the masses. For this reason any African man/woman who accepts foreign religion either Christianity or Islam is a traitor to his or her motherland. That kind of person has already betrayed his or her people. On one condition that he or she puts the host of this foreign religion first before his or her own country. This kind of follower of foreign can be refereed to as a sold out.
Now, the question is, would you rather promote the religion of the land or promote a foreign religion in one's Motherland ?? This is part of the Issue in Africa. Lost or misplaced priorities. Cuba and some other south American countries still practice Ifa and one would never see any of them make such a backward film portraying any religion as good or bad.

All religions should be welcomed and there is no point marketing one against the other thereby painting one as good and the other as bad. May Ifa show everyone the way. Babalawo is a chief priest in Ifa religion just like there pastors the Christians go to every Sunday or Imam Muslims go to every Friday.

Opinion
One is better off promoting his or her motherland religion no matter how much the foreign imperialist condemn or try to subjugate the mother land religion or culture so as to sell theirs to you.
Watch for example a typical propaganda movie against the religion of the Land bellow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD6PAxtUVCk

This is the real freedom from mental slavery. For example, even though I understand religion as a tool! I will always promote IFA no matter what.

How many of you agree with the above article ?

Traditional similarities between "Dibia" and "Ifa"

For those that are trying to link to the God of Abraham or Chukwu Abiama (Or Chukwu Obama self), please read and learn about our rich traditional religion known as Odinani.

Odinani - Igbo: ọ̀dị̀nànị̀.. This is the original traditional religion of the Ancient Igbos before some of them were completely sold out to foreign religion. Lets reminds ourselves religion is a civilization, however that does not warrant or allow some foreign elements to rule over or against our future and here we are still making the same mistake.

Igbo African Traditional religion. (Ancient Igbos)
Top 3 Deities
1 Ala - The most prominent one carrying out justice against wrongdoers
2 Amadioha - is the Alusi of justice, thunder, lightning and the sky
3 Ikenga - Ikenga is a source of encoded knowledge unraveled through psychological principles.
4 Ekwensu - Alusi was adept at bargains and trade, and praying to Ekwensu was said to guarantee victory in negotiations
5 Mmuo and minor forces.....

We have such rich traditional religion and some foreign elements or trolls are trying to link to God of Abraham.

More about African Traditional religion.

African Traditional Religion (ATR) is similar to Shia Islam that believes in Muhammed and imams. (Supreme Chief Priest). Meaning the ordinary people or powerful people like Oni of Ife for example can be refereed to having the same power as the supreme leader of Iran.

Now Yoruba traditional religion says, anytime Oni of ife puts on his "ade ori"(his crown) he automatically becomes an Orisa. Just like the same supreme leader of Iran and just like Sango, just like Ala and Amadioha. E.t.c

Very rich traditional Religion but not completely sold out yet..

In Yoruba land, we welcome all religions and even the traditional one that the AngloZonist Empire, foreign religions (Both of them Islam and Christianity) labeled as pagan is mere religious propaganda against the religion of the land. And here is the simple logic. For example, one has a new brainwash or geopolitical ambition about to unleash or sell to a new enclave, one will need to first of all propagate to the people of this enclave that what they are doing is wrong or bad before the person can sell its own product successfully.

Isn't this glaring. And this is for the future agenda of divide and conquer rule. One can see how massive it is working on majority of our people today.

This is exactly the same brainwash Boko haram is using. I mean the crooks western backed crooks that came to hijack Orginal Boko haram founders from Nigeria. GEJ killed the leader then and a new form came entirely to take over. They have their own form of religious brainwash and it is different from Sunni or even Shia. If they meet people on the way, and you tell them you are a Muslim. They will tell you to join their own form of Islam which is total brainwash.

We all really need to wake up and re-investigate our past very well. This is why the SW is always ahead in nearly everything, it's because they understand the issue very well. If we had redefine our religion not to look puppetry to foreign one or even accept foreign religion 100%. We would have safeguarded our future. Here is a good example.

Has any one ever seen Russian Orthodox Christians go to Isreal to worship ? OR ever heard an Iranian Shia Muslim going to Saudi Arabia to worship ? Even the Chechnya of Russia or Tartans of Crimean republic of Russia would never go to Saudi Arabia. This is redefining their form of religion so they can control their future.

This is the aspect of religion on how these foreign forces and power work. It's time to wake up from our slumber.

Dibia is similar to Ifa.
just that all the 402 Orisas in SW is connected to Ifa. This is why Ifa can be refereed to as Yoruba religion of Ifa.

The main difference between Odinani and Ifa is sacrificing human being. No divinity in Yo'ooba religion of ifa has ever used human for scarifies that will be going too extreme. Only in Odinani and this is the part the western crooks first used as propaganda campaign against Odinani to secure a good bargain for their own form of religion.

The Most Important thing to Take Note of !

Nri was even before Ikenga, most recent history.

The Nri kingdom or empire is considered to be a center of Igbo culture. Nri and Aguleri, where the Umueri-Igbo creation myth originates, are in the territory of the Umeuri clan, who trace their lineages back to the patriarchal king-figure, Eri.

RELIGION
Igbo mythology
Religious beliefs were central to the Kingdom of Nri. Nri oral tradition states that a bounty of yams and cocoyams could be given to the eze Nri, while blessings were given in return. It was believed that Nri's influence and bountiful amount of food was a reward for the ruler's blessings. Above all, Nri was a holy land for those Igbo who followed its edicts. It served as a place where sins and taboos could be absolved just by entering it. Even Igbo living far from the center of power would send abnormal children to Nri for ritual cleansing rather than having them killed, as was sometimes the case for dwarfs or children who cut their top teeth before their lower teeth.

Nri people believed that the sun was the dwelling place of Anyanwu (Light) and Agbala (Fertility). Agbala was the collective spirit of all holy beings (human and nonhuman). Agbala was the perfect agent of Chukwu or Chineke (the Creator God) and chose its human and nonhuman agents only by their merit; it knew no politics. It transcended religion, culture and gender, and worked with the humble and the truthful. They believed Anyanwu, The Light, to be the symbol of human perfection that all must seek and Agbala was entrusted to lead man there.

These included human (such as twins), animal, object, temporal, behavioral, speech and place taboos. The rules regarding these taboos were used to educate and govern Nri's subjects.

This meant that, while certain Igbo may have lived under different formal administration, all followers of the Igbo religion had to abide by the rules of the faith and obey its representative on earth, the eze Nri.

All these prove to us that some trolls trying to link to God of Abraham. Perhaps, if we were in the days of the Great Greek empire, the likes of the same trolls would definitely link to the God of Zeus.

This is telling us that every empire comes with its own form of Religion. And with religious brainwash and Propaganda, one can always link to them. Now there is AnglozionistEmpire. Islam and Christianity with the exception of Shia islam and others that departed from Sunnis. They still have proxies too.. But the Origin of Sunni is Saudi Arabia while SHia is Iran.

CONCLUSION

So stop the brainwash or misinformation. Religion whichever one is a Civilization, lets be moderate and tolerant to people. What is more civilized is to re-define our own kind of religion but not to look puppetry to other people's kind of religion. Redefining our own type of religion would be we wont accept gays to be married for example in the church but a lot aside that gay is being imposed everyday on us and our people are so blind to see them until it gets that bad that they had to impose Gay on us and we rejected it.

Why Nigerian Churches now reject marrying Gays ?
This is how it works. Potential Puppets to external religion or foreign religion. Lets go back to Odinani and re-modernize it. Many would agree People still fear Juju more than the Bible one is holding or even Quran. Both of them share one thing in common.

Here the offender think twice before doing bad thing to its fellow human being or even Animals in other religions. This is Heaven and hell. Before the offender does any bad or steal from someone else's farm, the offender would think he or she is going to hell if it does that. That is the element of fear in Christianity bible and also in Quran. Alujonah(Jannah) heaven in Quran, Janomah(Jahannam)- Hell-fire.

In traditional religion. Putting one red thing on the farm that looks juju then one wont want to touch the farm or steal from it because the same fear something bad will happen to the perpetrator. This is the idea of religion which makes super sense and also a civilization..

Lets Stop being Puppets to other people's culture or tradition. Lets redefine our religion, our democracy so we can continue to have full control over our future.

Thanks

Brainwash Mr man or Miss Woman... Stop the brainwash please, we have heard enough.. There is a new Jesus in Australia, have you heard about him ? He's also selling his own version of Jesus.. So please, we are much wiser in the 21st century.

The truth of the long story is, sorry human being like me and you wrote the Bible and Quran for the host of these Enclaves. Their cultures and tradition which is a Civilization. What is more civilized is re-defining your kind of religion not to look puppetry to foreign religions.

Plus Africa has its Religion which is African Traditional religion date back to the Kush Empire, followed by the Egyptian Empire ok.
Stop the Brainwash please we all know Empires come with there form of religion or Brainwash. The greek had theirs, it is AngloZionistEmpire even Oyo Empire too had his which is religion of Ifa - All the Orisas linking to Ifa religion. The same thing in the SE.. Odinani.. Stop the brainwashing please it is 21st century..

Jesus is the only way to eternal life. I'd be concerned about how to avoid spending eternity in the deepest pits of hell if I were you, instead of whether Israel needs Jesus.

Israel has many Christians, in fact, it is the most friendly country to Christians in the Middle East. Also, Jews are the chosen people of God, and are under a different covenant.

The original Jews were black, and Jesus was an African. Israel is in northeast Africa. So there is no contradiction in being a Christian and an African. Christianity is an African religion.
Christianity EtcRe: Thought Provoking Analysis On Non Traditional Religion by scully95:
I think you yourself don't know what you are saying.. That even reminds me of how these same AngloZionist Empire , the Brits to be specific killed over 60 million Indians and another 2million via food blockade ? Why ? To sell the same sh*t they sold to Africans. Ok

What about the Aboriginals and the Native red-indians in America ? Same history.. What you don't understand is we have our own civilization before this eastern and western cultures invaded us. That remind me of the Oyo Empire. Don't forget Oyo Empire is even older than the current
AngloZIonist Empire..

What is my point.. All empires do come with their own form of Brainwash or religion. The same with the Greek empire, they came with their own form of religion to dominate your mind and so on.. This is the standard and it dates back to the days of Kush Empire that was when Africa had its own form of civilization... Then followed by the Egyptian Empire.. Iranian.. Greek and so on. If we were to be in the Greek empire days, you will surely have someone link to the God of Zeus like they are linking to the God of Abraham forgetting about Odinani in SE of Nigeria.

No Divinity in Ifa religion for example ask for Human blood for sacrifice but your foreign Brainwashed religions Islam and Christianity has used it as propaganda against you, even in some religious Yoruba video knowing fully well that the best time to sell a propaganda is when you are relaxed and just watching a movie. Even this popular movie series back then know as the ZIon were being sponsored from America. Foreign forces imposing and marketing their own form of civilization..

You can help yourself by re-investigating in African invisible religions/cultures and using the ethical values within those cultures to suppress, marginalize the ethical values, to arbitrate even your own(West) conflict with the eastern cultures (religion/Islam).
Just to summarize the basic virtue (No long story) to which I attribute to these numerous invisible African religions/Cultures. He/you 'll find that among these African invisible religions/cultures..

You will not find any of them, which has engaged in what you might call a religious war... Either a "Crusade" or a "Jihad" in their entire histories.. And I think this self hunting, arrogant cultures, east(islam) and west(Christianity) can humble themselves and try to learn from these anterior cultures which they have successfully suppressed.

Make no mistake, Religion is a civilization, Either Ifa, Odinani, Islam, Christianity.. All share one thing in common and this is fear to thinking twice before doing bad thing. Which makes super sense..

For example, to steal from someone's farm, if you are a christian or Muslim, you have already been brainwashed that you wont go to heaven for stealing. That is the element of fear in Christianity and islam..

The same thing if you saw some red thing that looks like JUJU on the farm. Before stealing it, you will have the same fear that OH, something bad may happen to you. Even the juju form fear management did not say you have to wait until judgement day.. It's feeling that happens almost instantly and this is why Juju is even more effective than the Heaven and hell type of fear.

- You said they took away our precious religion, You mean the blood sucking deity that takes pleasure in the bloods of virgins, twins , albino and stuffs yet it was these white people that made your grand fathers to stop doing those nonsense
- You claimed they brought some fake gods, I would rather worship a fake god that prevents me from killing my neighbour or sleeping with his wife than worship the one that lets me kill me neighbour in cold blood and even snatches his wife if i feel like

These so called bad people that brought white Jesus or stuff, you didnt reject their education, you loved it you even learn how to write in their language, they even thought you to think for yourself and be analytical that was why you could even have the brain to open this post in the first place,

The reasons why Africans would never grow is because they always think the whites are their problem, you can imagine? but it is still this people that comes to your rescue when you are in trouble. Africans are messed up

Oh, this is the typical religious propaganda against the religion of the land in West Africa. Are'nt you tired of spreading the lies and massive propaganda against your motherland Africa/Nigeria.
If you say this to the Foreign religions (Islam and Christianity) that even made laws to guide themselves and called it blasphemy.. Isn;t this a typical example of blasphemy against the religion of the land ??

Isaiah 44: (KJV)

12 The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.

13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.

14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:

17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

As you can see your African idol is man made and cannot save.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM IS NOT CONDEMNED: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

Foreign AffairsWW3 Inevitable? US Warmongering Rhetoric May Drag World Into War by scully95(op): 4:19am On Jun 30, 2015
The US' blatant warmongering rhetoric and actions against Russia and China may lead to a new world war, a US investigative journalist underscored, dubbing Washington a "global bully."

America has recently intensified its warmongering rhetoric against Beijing and Moscow, triggering growing concerns that the US/NATO foreign policy course may drag the world into a third World War.

In response to the recent remarks by US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who blasted both Russia and China for the "efforts to unilaterally and coercively change the status quo" in Eastern Ukraine and the South China Sea, respectively, US investigative journalist Joachim Hagopian points out that the United States has long been the global military aggressor.

"It's interesting that again America is criticizing China for being the aggressor when, in fact, the global policy of the United States' empire has been to be the world aggressor and keep every nation that poses any kind of competition at bay by either invading and occupying and having wars in those countries or by subterfuge of economic boycotts and sanctions," Mr. Hagopian said in an interview with Press TV.

Washington is criticizing Beijing for its island-building project in the South China Sea and claiming that Chinese hackers were behind a series of cyber-attacks against a US federal government server. However, Washington has not yet provided any credible evidence to confirm its accusations.
At the same time the US has recently bolstered its anti-Russian propaganda campaign, apparently to justify NATO's military buildup in Eastern Europe.

It seems that the American empire "is beginning to crumble and weaken" while Russia and China are steadily emerging both economically and politically, the journalist elaborated, adding that the US has been a global bully for a very long time and it is not willing to play the second fiddle now.
The situation is serious, since the stance the US is currently demonstrating may lead the world to another global conflict.

"There is a long history of the United States of America being the global military aggressor, so a real fear and concern that all of us on this earth should have is that World War III does not break out soon, but it's kind of heading that way based on the rhetoric that we're hearing particularly from the American government," Mr. Hagopian emphasized.
