The increasing velocity of events in Syria indicates that the conflict may be ready to spill over into a larger conflagration and direct conflict between the forces of the AZ hegemon and the Resistance thereto. A couple of apparently un-related events have rapidly coalesced into armed conflict between an NATO member state and Russia, the consequences of which are yet to be revealed, but unlikely to be anything but more fuel on the fires of the not only the Syrian conflict but the war between the AZ empire and Russia.

Vladimir Putin was outspoken in his comments at a post G-20 press conference on Nov. 16th regarding not only direct aid and support to ISIS by Western allied G-20 member states, but also the nature of those same Western allies who aid ISIS in the transshipment and sale of contraband ISIS oil.

The western “free press” has still yet to report on that presser wherein Pres. Putin stated that he provided evidence of “our data on the financing of Islamic State units by natural persons in various countries. The financing comes from 40 countries, as we established, including some G20 members”, and further where he told of providing imagery and intelligence data that shows the massive oil tanker truck convoys that ship oil from ISIS controlled territory, in his words “convoys stretching for dozens of kilometers, going beyond the horizon when seen from a height of four-five thousand meters”.

In another sequence of event, Russia’s air expeditionary wing has been engaged in close air support and other air operations targeting the anti-Assad jihadi militias, including the al Qaeda/al Nusra affiliated“Turkmen Brigade”, in the northern Latakia province of Syria. In response to those punitive air operations, the Turkmen militants openly called out for help from Turkey against the RuAF. Also days ago, Turkish P.M. Davutoglu warned Russia about bombing the same ethnic Turkmen militias in Latakia province.

Confluence of Events Leads to Direct Conflict

It appears that Davutoglu is a man of his word. These two events have coalesced into an incident whereby Turkish F-16 fighters have apparently shot down the RuAF SU-24 Fender bomber in Syrian airspace, with the pilot and navigator ejecting over Syrian territory. Reports indicate that the Turkmen militants exacted typical jihadi vengeance against the RuAF crewmembers by killing them while parachuting to the ground and/or on the ground. Reports also indicate that a RuAF search and rescue helicopted was likewise attacked by militants, the results of which are not known to this author at the moment.



Russian Pres. Putin has clearly articulated his viewpoint that Russia has been “stabbed in the back delivered by the accomplices to terrorists.” He stated emphatically that the Russian plane posed no threat to Turkey, and that it was operating solely in Syrian airspace against “terrorists” The implication is clear – he just called NATO member Turkey an accomplice to terror, not to mention the killer of two Russian servicemen. While there will undoubtedly be a duel of radar tracking to show whether or not the Fencer violated Turkish airspace, as claimed by Davutoglu, the reality is that a NATO jet just shot down the first Russian aircraft since the formation of the NATO alliance, an operation conducted in support of Turkmen jihadi’s and likely in revenge for Russia’s destruction of the ISIS/Erdogan Oil company.

Likely Outcome:

From this moment forward, we can expect that NATO will provide 100% support for the Turkish claims of the Fencer violating Turkish airspace. After all, since readers to this blog are fully aware that the multiplicity of Wahhabi and Salafist jihadi militants in Syria are but proxy armies for the AZ empire, and its armed forces in the form of NATO militaries, such an outcome is only to be expected.

The real question is what can we expect to be Russia’s response. Beyond FM Lavrov cancelling his scheduled meeting with Turkey, and his call for Russian citizens to boycott Turkey’s tourist destinations, we can fully expect Russia to respond in the military domain.

The respons is likely to be in multiple domains. Reports have already emerged that the Russian naval flotilla off Syria will provide heightened air defense coverage, likely moving naval assets closer to the Turkish/Syrian border.



In the air, at a minimum we coud anticipate that Russia will enhance its fighter cover in support of CAS (close air support) operations near the Turkish border. To accomplish that feat, it is likely that Russia will need to enlarge its air expeditionary wing in Syria with more advanced air-to-air combat fighters.

Russia may well enhance its air-to-air fighter assets in an effort to close of Syrian airspace to Turkish fighter/bombers, which have repeatedly violated Syrian sovereign airspace in operations putatively directed against the Kurds, but likely directed against the Syrian Arab Army and other Syrian assets in the “undeclared” war on the Syrian Arab Republic.


Another likely result is that Russia will formally recognize that reports of the presence of the S-400 SAM system is present in Syria, and that it will be employed in defense of Russian air operations over northern Syria. I would also anticipate that such surface to air missile coverage, perhaps the more mobile Sa-22 Pantsir SAM system, will be moved as far north in the Latakia province as possible to provide more timely protection to RuAF CAS operations.


If so, we will undoubtedly read of Russian SAM operators “lighting up” Turkish and other NATO jets operating in the border region, locking onto those targets with firing solutions in case those SAMS are actually deployed to prevent another shootdown of a Russian plane or to take down the plane(s) that engage in such an attack in the future.


Finally, other unconventional means of protecting airborne assets, such as electronic warfare operations conducted by the fleet, by airborne assets and/or ground based EW systems could well be used to shield and protect the bomber forces. The inherent risk of significant use of EW assets, however, would be that NATO could discover previously unknown Russian capabilities in that crucial domain and have a “head start” on developing EW countermeasures for the likely next phase of the AZ war on Russia.

The key question is whether this unjustified attack on the RuAF plane operating in Syrian airspace will be the incident that causes Russia to provide additional support to its air operations in support of Syrian sovereign rights of self defense in the form of introduction of ground forces. Such ground forces could now justifiably be deployed directly along the Syrian-Turkish border, at a minimum against the Turkmen Brigade which just butchered two RuAF servicemen, but perhaps more expansively along larger swaths of the open border and thereby help close off not only the NATO-ISIS arms supply lines (the reporting of which cost Serena Shim her life) but also the Erdogan family’s illicit enterprise of shipping and selling ISIS oil supplies in western oil markets.


Whatever the case, the gloves appear to be coming off, and those who back the terrorists in Syria, NATO member Turkey among them along with the AZ empire’s GCC allies of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, are increasingly easy to discern. The question is whether Turkey’s “throwing down the gauntlet” and challenging Russia’s air operations will be the trigger event for more conflict, or perhaps the warning shot that makes all parties realize the heightened risks of global conflict that the neo-Ottoman Caliph Erdogan attack against the Russian Air Force just engendered.

Russia will have to resort to electronic warfare in Syria to protect its pilots and prevent incidents similar to the downing of Russia’s Su-24 jet on Tuesday, according to Lieutenant-General Evgeny Buzhinsky; they will include both ground-based systems and equipment installed on special aircraft.


“Regarding the possible impact of this incident on the further developments of the operation in Syria, I think that from now on, our pilots will be more attentive and if the Turks continue behaving in such a manner, Russia will have to resort to electronic jamming and other warfare equipment, including special aircraft with special equipment on board, in order to protect our pilots from being stricken with missiles,” said the lieutenant-general.
Buzhinsky also added that the so-called means of objective control, including flight radar and other equipment, will allow Russia to verify exactly where and how the bomber was downed, excluding any possible discrepancies on the issue.


Earlier on Tuesday, Russian Su-24M Fencer bomber was downed by an air-to-air missile in Syria near the Turkish border by the Turkish Air Force while carrying out precision strikes against terrorists in northern Syria.
The Su-24 bomber jet was in Syrian airspace at the altitude 6,000 meters, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The pilots were reportedly able to parachute out of the jet before it crashed.

A video of Syrian rebels allegedly firing at a Russian-made helicopter on the ground has been posted on a YouTube channel associated with the FSA’s 1st Coastal Brigade. The helicopter is said to have been on a search mission for the pilots of the Su-24 jet downed by Turkey in Syria.

The Russian Air Force should continue its efforts to close the Jarabulus-Afrin corridor in northern Syria, despite the latest Turkish provocation, Bangkok-based geopolitical analyst Tony Cartalucci stresses.

Geopolitical analyst Tony Cartalucci draws attention to the fact that over the recent weeks Russian and Syrian forces have been steadily gaining ground in Syria, retaking territory from ISIL and al-Qaeda.

"The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has even begun approaching the Euphrates River east of Aleppo, which would effectively cut off ISIS [ISIL] from its supply lines leading out of Turkish territory," Cartalucci narrates in his latest article for New Eastern Outlook.

If Syrian troops establish their control over this zone, the Western plan of taking and holding the territory (with the prospect of further Balkanization of the region) would fall apart at the seams. In light of this, the regime change project, harbored by the West since the very beginning of the Syrian unrest, would be "indefinitely suspended," Cartalucci underscores.

"The endgame is at hand, and only the most desperate measures can hope to prevent Russia and Syria from finally securing Syria's borders. Turkey's provocation is just such a measure," he emphasizes.

"As in the game of chess, a player often seeks to provoke their opponent into a series of moves," Cartalucci notes.

Turkey has summoned the Russian Minister Counsellor over the downed Su-24, according to the embassy press representative Igor Mityakov.

The Russian Minister Counsellor in Ankara has been summoned to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian embassy confirmed.

“The Embassy confirms that Russian Embassy Minister Counsellor in Ankara Sergei Panov has been summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry. We will make no comments on the subject of discussion,” Mityakov said.

NATO Calls Emergency Meeting After Russian Su-24 Downed Over Syria


NATO has called an emergency meeting after Russian Su-24 jet was downed over the Turkish-Syrian border.

The NATO ambassadors will meet in Brussels at 5 pm (4 pm GMT).

"The meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization will be held at 5 pm (4 pm GMT) at Turkey's request," the NATO representative said.

NATO is monitoring the situation closely, the representative added. The Alliance is in close contact with the Turkish government.

Earlier in the day it was reported that the Russian Su-24 Fencer jet crashed in Syria with two people aboard. Ankara claims Turkish F-16s shot down the plane because it violated the country's airspace. Contrary to Ankara’s accusations, the Russian Defense Ministry said the Russian jet did not violate Turkish airspace and cited objective monitoring data as proof.

According to initial ministry information, both pilots were able to eject from the airplane. Their current condition and whereabouts have not been released.

Around 500 fuel tanker vehicles transporting illegal oil from Syria to Iraq for processing have been destroyed by Russia’s Air Forces, the General Staff said.

The spokesman displayed images showing convoys comprised of hundreds of vehicles transporting oil to back his assertion.

“In just the first few days, our aviation has destroyed 500 fuel tanker trucks, which greatly reduced illegal oil export capabilities of the militants and, accordingly, their income from oil smuggling,” Kartapolov stressed.

The spokesman also said that the Russian military has begun developing proposals for joint military action with the French Navy against the terrorists in accordance with an order by President Vladimir Putin.


“This joint work will begin after the arrival of aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle to the Syrian shores,” Kartapolov explained.

Russia has been bombing Islamic State and other terror groups in Syria since September 30 at the official request of country’s president, Bashar Assad.

On Tuesday, Russia’s fleet of 25 long-range bombers joined Su-34, Su-25, and Su-24M warplanes conducting operations in Syria to double the number of airstrikes against the militants.

I swear, how can someone going on a terrorist attack decided to take his passport along ?? Even bank robbers hide their identity.

The only thing I think is real are those people dead already.(Of which to them it does not mean anything) The rest is replay of 9/11 but on a small scale level.. Which ever the case, France is already involved in Syria. The only country I trust fighting ISIS or terrorist so far is Russia.

Syrian President Bashar Assad considers Russia’s Vladimir Putin as the “only defender of Christian civilization one can trust.”


“When I look at the present state of things in the world I realize that Vladimir Putin is the sole defender of Christian civilization one can rely on,” Assad said in an interview with French magazine Valeurs Actuelles.
The Syrian leader also said that he would step down only if asked to by the Syrian people and the Syrian parliament, adding that the issue of his possible resignation had not yet been raised on an international level.



Syria will only share intelligence information with France if Paris changes its policies in the region, President Assad said.

"If the French government is not serious in its fight against terrorism, we will not waste our time collaborating with a country, government or an institution that supports terrorism," he noted in the interview carried out the day after Friday's deadly attacks in Paris.

"You have to first change policy so that it is based on one criteria, to be part of an alliance that joins countries only fighting terrorism and not supporting them," Assad added.

More than 220,000 Syrians have lost their lives in four-and-a-half years of armed conflict, which began with anti-government protests before escalating into a full-scale civil war.

More than 11 million others have been forced from their homes as forces loyal to President Bashar Assad and those opposed to his rule battle each other — as well as jihadist militants from Islamic State and the al-Nusra Front.

On the day Moscow officially confirmed a terrorist attack as the cause of last month’s downing of a passenger plane in Egypt, the Russian military hit over 200 terrorist targets in Syria in 127 sorties.
The escalated Russian operation involved not only warplanes flying from an airfield near Latakia, but also strategic bombers operating from Russian territory.

On Tuesday, Russian warplanes conducted 127 sorties and hit 206 targets, a source in the Russian defense ministry told RT.
Russian strategic bombers such as Tu-22M3s, Tu-95MCs and Tu-160s were previously used for patrol missions as part of Russia’s nuclear deterrence. Their deployment in a conventional armed conflict marks an evolution in Russian military tactics.

It was also the first time Russia used in combat a new air-to-surface missile, KR Kh 101/102, which has been in service since 2012 but was not shown in public before. The missile can be seen inside a bomber bay in a video released by the defense ministry.

Russian security forces confirmed that the passenger plane en route from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg that crashed in Egypt’s Sinai on October 31 killing 224 people was downed by a bomb planted on board by terrorists. The group Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack right after the crash.
At a meeting with the head of the Russian Security Service (FSB), Vladimir Putin said that "the murder of our [Russian] nationals in Sinai is among the bloodiest crimes in [terms of] the number of casualties.” But Russia won’t be “wiping tears from our soul and heart,” he said. “This [tragedy] will stay with us forever. But this won’t stop us from finding and punishing the culprit.”

Vladimir Putin has vowed to find and punish the culprits behind the Sinai plane attack. “Our military work in Syria must not only continue, it must be strengthened in such a way so that the terrorists will understand that retribution is inevitable,” he said.
This week both Russia and the US-led coalition, which is conducting its own separate campaign against IS in Syria and Iraq, increased pressure on the terrorists in response to the spree of violence in Paris last Friday. The coalition reported conducting 20 sorties and hitting 14 targets on the same day.

President Putin promised to find those responsible for the Russian passenger plane crash in Egypt in any part of the world and exact revenge.

The announcement was made at a meeting at which the final results of the investigation into the causes of the tragedy were officially confirmed.

“It is not the first time Russia has faced these barbaric terrorist crimes, which often come without any visible reasons, internal or external, as was the case with terrorist act in Volgograd back in 2013. We haven't forgotten anything or anyone,”

said the President.

The President also added that the perpetrators of this attack will certainly be punished.

“We should pursue them without any statute of limitations and should know all of them by name. We will be looking for them wherever they would try to hide. We will find them in any part of the world and punish,”

he stressed.


On Tuesday Russia confirmed that the Airbus A321 with 224 people on board was brought down by a terrorist explosive device.
An investigation into the crash showed traces of an explosive material in personal items and parts of the plane.

Russia now offers $50mln for the information on those who might have been involved in the terrorist attack on the A321.

The aircraft went down on October 31 while en route from Egypt’s resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, leaving no survivors.

An explosion of the homemade bomb of up to 1kg of TNT equivalent was the cause of the A321 crash in Sinai, Russian Security Service (FSB) head Alexander Bortnikov said.

“According to our specialists’ assessment, a homemade explosive device with an equivalent of 1 kilogram of TNT on board the aircraft exploded, which lead to the plane 'breaking up' in midair, which would explain the scattering of the plane’s fuselage across a wide area,” Bortnikov said during a meeting.

Russian Special Forces have determined the A321 passenger jet that crashed over Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula on October 31 killing all 224 on board was a terrorist act.

“We can definitely say this was a terrorist act,” Russian Federal Security Service head Alexander Bortnikov said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

First I wish to express my condolences to the families of all the victims of the terror attacks last week. No matter the reason for the attacks, there will always be innocent victims; those should be remembered.

What I write below are some stray thoughts on a question that has been bugging me since I heard the news regarding the attacks in Paris. Maybe I am completely off the mark here yet I keep wondering: Why all these attacks took place in France?

Why not Brussels or Amsterdam or London or Rome or Berlin?

Why France?

Yes, the French have been militarily involved in the “Arab Spring”; the Charles De Gaulle carrier has already been deployed once in the Gulf this year between 23/02/2015 and 18/04/2015 and the deployment starting on November 18th was scheduled well before the attacks in Paris took place.

As a side note, the US is deploying Harry S. Truman battle group (again, scheduled) but there are already rumours that the Truman group will not replace whatever is already there.

Moreover, France maintains in UAE 6 Rafale fighters and in Jordan 3 Mirage 2000D (strike version) and 3 Mirage 2000N (Nuclear strike version)

Note to readers: In France a “nuclear strike” capable fighter is any plane whose on-board avionics and software allows it to fire the Aerospatiale Air-Sol Moyenne Portee (ASMP) nuclear stand-off missile. Remove that software or do not load the missile and a M2000N is the same as a M2000D. All Rafale fighters have this capability as part of F3 standard.

Still these, militarily speaking, are on par with the other NATO members; UK flies sorties from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus on an almost a daily basis and Belgium was heavily involved in NATO’s Libya campaign.

Yet all the major terrorist attacks (false flag or not all had the intent to cause terror among the populace to advance whatever political / religious / ideological agenda) in Europe this year took place in France:

As a matter of fact, no other major terrorist attack took place in a NATO / EU country this year. Either both French intelligence services and internal security are laughable (imagine three major terrorist attacks in Washington or Moscow or Beijing within a year) or something else is at play.

The only difference France has compared to any NATO member (bar USA) is that it is the only country which has a truly autonomous defense industry. It is the only country which can design and produce a fighter plane (Dassault Aviation), its engine (Snecma), its avionics, its radar (Thales) and its munition from bullets to cruise missiles (MBDA) all by itself. Same goes for shipbuilding. And because they develop everything, they get all the maintenance / upgrade contracts.
