This is no big deal at all. Let your wife bluntly tell this lecturer off and let her get serious with her studies. If this lecturer fails her, let her call for her papers to be examined by an exam committee. This way, it will be obvious why the lecturer has failed her. The main reason most people claim to fear the threats of lecturers is because they themselves don't study hard and cannot beat their chest that they pass the exams. No lecturer will ever be bold to fail a brilliant student. Imagine a situation where one does 9 courses in a semester and scores As and Bs in 8 courses and fails one? Even the HOD of that department will be curious to know what went wrong in that single course. You as the husband don't need to visit the lecturer, if you do that you're only glorifying his stupidity and boosting his ego as an "Almighty lecturer". Just ask your wife to ignore him and go about her studies as if the "idiot" doesn't exist. Yes I call him idiot because how can he be pressurizing a married woman when 95% of the females in the school are single, is that not stupidity of the highest order? Imagine an idiot lecturing tomorrow's leaders May God help us in this country. |

MidexMotor:In that case I think your stiff price of N1.4m is too steep. Check this thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-370690.0.html This is a 2002 Model, leather seats with just 104,00 miles delivered (pre-ordered) to buyer at N1.75m. Yours is a 2001 Model, Fabric seats with about 126,000 Miles which has been driven on Nigerian roads for a whopping 13 months and you say your price is stiff at N1.4m? My guy think twice oh! If na you which one you go choose ![]() |
Hi Emeshot, I don't mean to be cheeky or anything but are u for real? N4Million for an accidented Camry? I mean, c'mon. you saw that CARFAX report!!! My friend brought a BRAND NEW camry into the country this year for N3.8Million including shipping and clearing although it was a base model with no alloys. (It's a shame i have no photos) If you don't want the car to lay idle in your garage for long, I'll advise you slash at least N1.2 million bucks off your steep asking price , Happy selling and compliments of the season,
Emeshot has got a reputation for high prices on his vehicles,. The truth however is that Nairalanders know what a car is really worth so no one needs advice on what cars to buy and at what price to buy them. Emeshot will always tell you it's "Asking Price" forgetting that when the price is too steep, people will be afraid to put forward a price they're willing to buy for fear of being abused. All the best with your sales though Emeshot. |
@gabu4u1 May God Bless you for that post. I used to think I was the only one with this view about bankers living false lives but I'm happy that you're even one of them and can still come up with ur submission above. I think the root of the problem is up-bringing. A child that is brought up to be prudent with resources will always remain focused and invest rather than waste resources. I was surprised sometime ago that I approached a banker friend for a loan of N50K, you can imagine what he told me. The fact was that I really didn't need the money but only wanted to know if he was one of the wasteful bankers or the prudent type, but he proved he was the wasteful type. He "happily" narrated how he was indebted to his bank to the tune of about N950K and how he wished he had paid that loan as he was in desperate need of another loan of N1.5m. The only question i asked him was "What if you got a better offer in another bank or blue chip company now, do you think you'd be free to resign and take up that job?" To this question he couldn't give a satisfactory answer. I just got up and walked away knowing I've stired up his reasoning to think about the kind of life he was living. I learnt from my father how to live in a face-me-I-face-you when you can actually afford a three-bedroom flat. This is why I've been contented with living in a flat that it's annual rent is just 30% of my monthly salary. This is why I don't feel any pinch when it's time to pay my yearly rent. I don't need to believe God for a miracle or deprive my family of our modest standard of living just to pay our rent. The truth is that it's not only bankers that are prone to this attitude, every cadre of workers are involved in this and that's why a lot of them perpetrate frauds in their various places of work. Our Govt too does not help matters but that's not an excuse for bad habits on the part of the citizens. Please I'm interested in your business ideas as I've saved a lot over the years and is looking to invest wisely and safely. Pls hit me up on sanya_1000@yahoo.com or drop ur contact so I can get in touch with you. |
