Thanks mate. Couple of specific questions,

- How would you rate your experience of the country so far?

- Which city would you say is most welcoming to foreigners(blacks), and has the best prospect for jobs?

- Also, given my tech background, I’m looking to apply for Developer roles if I make it in. Do you have an idea of vibrant the Tech ecosystem is over there, and if they accept foreigners for jobs?

- I’m also looking to take a tour of the EU region during summer, how friendly is this for students?

Many thanks in anticipation.

So far its been a wonderful experience which has enable me to understand life better, wherever you find yourself you must strive to succeed by doing whats obtainable within the system.

Vilnius has more opportunities due to the presence of international companies and organisations, klaipeda is growing in logistic but slow.

You have opportunity here for IT, Lithuania language is needed for 65 to 70% of jobs.

You can always tour whenever you wish

Hello Seamanic, I presume you’re on ground. Any tips for new applicants?

My advice to you is that traveling to study is a holistic process, choose a useful course that is lucrative in the world, check the school admission requirement, compare tuition fee of different schools in Lithuania, select a city with opportunities for foreigners(very important), gather documents for application(original waec or neco certificate, international passport, transcript, B.sc cert etc) remember date of birth in results should tally with international passport),

I wish you success

Many of you have not even crossed the boarders of Nigeria. Yet you know more about a foreign country than you know about Nigeria. I see that someone mentioned slave labor to be the earning of students in Lithuania. I take this as a insult and truly lack of knowledge of how educational systems work in other country. How many of you does any job while in the universities or polytechnics in Nigeria. How much is the minimum wage of a Nigerian worker. Before you argue semetics. I urge you to read and understand the country you look towards studying before you make irrelevant comments confuse others. Thank you

I am currently in Lithuania and I have worked in Lithuania while hiding the truth from these newbies, always tell them the truth and don,t deceive them, if they are willing to come then they can prepare their mind. Nigeria has employment issues we know but Lithuania has its own problem too, even Lithuania are going to UK, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden to work.

They earn that in Klaipeda or Vilnius ?

BOTH...Lithuania law says 20hrs per week, some organisation pay below 3.5 euro after tax, you can work fulltime during summer, even some Lithuania citizen gets 450 euro after tax.

How is life generally as a student if I may ask and what about job opportunities?
Here there is a lot of slave job that people do just to survive and the health implication is high, calculate 20hrs per week X 3.5 Euro=280 euro(month pay) the truth is bitter. Just focus on using Lithuania as an entry point to EU and getting documents then start a reasonable business.

Hi everyone, I've got a bugging question to ask.
After your visa has been approved and you've taken your passport to the embassy, how long does it take to be called for pickup....
I've got a friend who got a student visa to canada and has submitted the int. passport for over 8 weeks now but is yet to be called for pickup, could there be any reason for this? Pls I need clarity.
Thanks.

I know of 3 weeks no update from CIC, don't know why?
