Politics / Re: Oil Marketers begin Lifting Petrol From Dangote Refinery by SeaTrade(m): 1:18pm On Sep 19
These bottlenecks are just caused by interest.
NNPC is rounding up with selling its retail arm to OVH Ltd,and unknown entity that most likely belong to cabals or worse,Oga at the top.
So clearly,NNPC will hand over this sole distribution rights over to OVH and then OVH now assumes being the sole offtaker of the products from the refinery.
This is a very well thought out scheme with powerful people fronting regulators(NNPC) as their proxies for their interests, cos there's no bloody reason for this cos it means NNPC and their cabals will still influence retail pricing for the product and make a lot of money for themselves.
Even person weh get refinery no even get say for his own product lol,
Underestimate cabals at your own risk.

Romance / Re: Did You Know That Men Are 'Hot Cake' In Russia? (pix) by SeaTrade(m): 3:08pm On Sep 01
DrAda:
I still can't explain how the term 'hot cake' came about. No one likes their cake hot.

A better reference is hot soup or hot pap. It is high time we resisted all phrases in English that make no sense.
Every cake no be ice cake na madam.
Growing up ,there use to be some muffin looking cakes that they baked in small metallic pans back then and of course, the hotter the better so people usually go to queue in such bakeries in the mornings to rush the product when its still hot, high demand sort of thing..
That's where the term came from.

You're smarter than this,
No business of that magnitude have the logistics capability to manage direct sales madam.
So BUA group should manage 1 million customers spread across the length and breadth of the nation abi?

You can't crash or fix pricing if you don't have volume chief.Flood the markets with stock and people will even sell below cost to earn only backend margin.
I knew this your nonsense was dead on arrival from the get go,
Down players will just mop up all you have to supply ,hoard and fire up prices hence ruining the whole purpose of the initiative and you've only just enriched middlemen.
I don't know better than you cos I'm sure you know this, you just wanted the media parade for clout reasons.

Racoon:
The use of brute force in coercing people into submission especially in the face of bad governance have never work or succeeded in the history of humanity. So IGP be careful not to light up a fuse. There is so much aggression across this nation.
Helicopter gunships, water cannons,Armored personell carriers, commandos ,AK47,etc..were all built for this reason.
I want see that fuse grin
Crime / Re: Simon Ekpa Claims Responsibility For Killing Of Four Police Officers In Imo by SeaTrade(m): 4:46am On Jul 31
Nothing I hate more than all these freedom fighters/liberationists.
In my opinion are useless, senseless and foolish.
We live in a capitalist world driven by enterprise, you either have this or die poor.
There's no such thing as good governance being responsible for welfare of citizenry, that is the responsibility of enterprise to provide source of livelihoods for the people that have value to add to it.
Unfortunately, Nigeria's 300m people seem to be empty upstairs ,reason their lives are in shambles and as such ,productivity declines and then you now have 300m people that want to be solely dependent and entitled to the country's meagre resources, rather than add to it.
The solution to your entitlement is actually a visionary dictatorship, talk and dissapear kind of thing.
Go and work, generate value so that the government can tax you and use that money for health care, roads, rail, general infrastructure and some few intervention programs.
That is how the USA was built,
Read about the men who changed it's narrative,
All enterprising YOUNG MEN !!
It's this same entitlement that led to subsidies that bastardised key sectors like power, education and energy, creating saboteurs and cabals that will never allow such sectors grow because they want the status quo to remain unchanged so they keep profiteering.
The doom that all these "socialist programs" has been accruing for decades cos of the stupidity and entitlement of your fathers is now here and you're trying to put the blame on one man,
Were I that man,I will not respond to you or change anything but you will see the greatest show of force on Thursday.
Helicopter gunships hovering directly over your roofs, infantry battalions and elite commandos on your streets,APCs carrying elite soldiers trained to kill a noisy fly with a rifle from a mile away at your popular junctions, contracted mercenaries protecting national assets, navy patrolling coastal lines, shutdown Internet and power, impose nationwide curfew and DSS taking out all your social media warriors propagating anarchy and dumping them in an underground prison.
The unproductive lots will not be allowed to disturb and destroy/loot productive Nigerians in anyway, shape or form.

Damn! Nice ride

But on which stretch on that bumpy road, bro? Probably after Ahoada.

Try it on PH to Eket/Ikot-Abasi road.
It's been fixed ,no longer bumpy,
Except for the few flood damaged sections which is like 0.1% of the stretch.

Unfortunately, I don't see things changing any time soon.
And tbh, I started contemplating japa too of recent.
I may have been lucky, the question remains will my children be?
Is this the atmosphere they will grow in? During their time, if they are to work, how much will be salary in relation to standard and cost of living?
About you relocating, I will say it is a very hard decision.
Since you have a successful biz here, I will advise you stay while you plan how your wife and kids will be staying abroad while you go to see them regularly or you just buy a better passport and stay here with them but can easily be entering western countries easily.
Don't ever expose the secret of your biz to another person else they will float theirs later after gathering the necessary experience while your biz goes down.
It's hard running a biz in absentia or remotely Andi believe you don't want to relocate and start doing shitty jobs to survive when you are a king here.
It is better to be a dog in the city than a dead lion in the bush
On point,
All these are what's holding me back.
I just want somewhere stable,peaceful.
Live a cool quiet life and go in peace.
As for kids and wife,I don't have them now,I don't even see it in the next 7yrs.
Still free, the only thing na this business.
I wonder how all these big corporations manage to run without their owners successfully.

Brand new car kee?
When many using tokunbo are even sliding into Nigerian used grade.
I wanted to buy Honda cross tour for my wife last months and my budget was 7m.
Omoh....my mechanic and I was soteyyyy for Lagos, for where?
Tokunbo 11-14m and reasonable nija used 8m.
Most we saw for less than 8m are really substandard.
You will see them clean and shining on social media but when you go there with your mechanic, you will be disappointed.
7m is about 5,000 dollars and that money is more than enough to buy you a very very clean and sound second hand in UK or US if you reside there to use but here, it is an eye sore.
Most Toyota Camry 2009/10 sef are pricing 5m for nija used oooooo and you start wondering if they are really crazy.
A 14 years old nija used car and not brand new or tokunbo pricing 5m and above.
They have really messed up nija economy
If things don't change soon,
Nigerians will be so impoverished to the level of mass exodus.
I have never contemplated Japa, but I'm beginning to get open to the option.
The only hold back I have Is a replacement for myself or someone even smarter than me that understands my route to market like myself.
And another problem too is that I'd be exposing a lot of trade secrets to that person so much so that they can either let my competitors in on my secrets or try to throw me over.

Lol,
I too wanted to buy a new ,cheap car some months back with N30m budget ,
I targeted cheap China brands as even Koreans are now overpriced .
Went to get Changan CS35 or 55,na price carry me go jeje to Toks.
Why will I buy box of matches at N43/55m?
They one I even liked and impressed with was Uni-K or so,them say na 59.5m last,I leave am march grin
Meanwhile I bought a brand new Hyundai Creta for the business 12.5m 2019,
Even I think 2022 or so when i was short of some work horses,I went to get L200 brand new and the low jack was 16.5m and Hi frame was like 21m with Auxiliary gear.
Maxus was like 18m and Changan Hunter for similar price,
Only God knows what they cost now.
This country is a very hard place to be in ,I won't lie.

My Personal review from my own experience.
2.0t engine attached to a 10 speed auto CVT gearbox.
It's actually my first time having a CVT gearbox car so initially I thought my gear was bad cos i couldnt hear it change gears like traditional cars, rather maintains a very high and loud rpm, reason for my previous ourburst grin Apparently it was designed to be like that for optimum performance and can jump to any gear of its choice the onboard computers think its suitable for that speed(non sequential).
Interior is lovely, sporty steering ,nice leather and display but can be crampy for a tall individual like myself.
Drive feel is amazing, sporty and quite powerful too and gets very loud when engaged in sports mode(you literally hear the turbo spin and whine),The moment you disengage sports mode,it gets quiet again instantly.0-60 in 5.5seconds.
Not to forget,it's equipped with paddle shifters and they're very responsive, changes immediately you touch em.
Attract stares too and seemingly a chick magnet,if you know what I mean grin
It is a good car all in all ,never knew a Jap mobile can give me this level of satisfaction.
