DopeDiddyFrosh: I was reminiscing about the time I spent in a public school and I remembered some games we played while I was a kid. The list goes thus.
1. SUWE This game is played by two or more people. It has different types tho. A drawing is made on the ground. A rectangle with 6 boxes inside and we begin to throw stones and jump about
2. TINKO. This game is played by two or more people also. It is played by pinching ur patner's hand and clapping. Nairaland girls go know the game wella.
3. CATCHER. Played by two or more people also. Everybody playing the game wld be running away from the catcher and when the catcher catches a catchee, the catchee becomes the catcher (u feel me shay?)
4. HIDE AND SEEK (BOJU BOJU) Hide and seek. I guess y'all shld know this.
5. FOOTBALL. There are different types sha. I. Monkey Post. II. One Touch. Etc.
6. BREAD AND BUTTER. Very similar to tinko.
Kindly add urs. Cc: mods. Bros u be sure warri boi. Lemme add some. 1. We also played kicking suwe. Very similar 2 suwe only dat dis time instead of jumping ova a stone and ur opponents house(its complicated), u kick a plastic cup cover around d rectangle. 2. Nailing Similar 2 suwe but hav 2 pin(more lik spearing) ur nail on sand...... If u trow ur nail and iy fails 2 stand erect on d ground, den u ve failed. 3. Football. Guy u 4gt "4 post" and " centerlee" |

gboss4sure: The reason why we build in our villages is because that's where we retire and visit the city from there. The OP is not saying dnt build at home. Build first in town or wherever u live and build d retirement home later(afta rall u re to retire later not now) |

rahazaqa: what about if work moves you from the town too another town? will you Carry the house or what?. So it is better you build your mansion in your village because your village is your village or home. The question is hw often do u visit d mansion in d village. Then again even if u relocate 4rm one town 2 anoda d house remains ur house, u havent made any loss and u can always put on rent or sale it. I agree its good 2 own a home in ones place bt i tink its wiser 2 build one 1st where u spend more dan 300days every yr |

Until Man re awaken from his follow follow syndrome and starts questioning religious authorities and religious teachings, we wud keep having more Lords(pastors) opening more slave house(churches) and much much less love, and morality wud keep waning amongst d sheeps(church members) |

Normality: Do u people even travel to these areas before saying these things?
So u want to stay in ur village in Esan, Edo state and tell me that u have not heard or seen Cross River and Akwa Ibom people in IPOB, LNC and MASSOB.
wow, u people wow me, u are ignorant but u can't say u are so people let you in, Jesus Christ, how can people be this blatantly ignorant.
If you want to know more, why not come to Aba on May 30th and see these people yourself?
I was in Uyo and Ikot Ekpene last month, and from the meetings we had with locals and IPOB there, they are either for Biafra or nothing else, or do u want me to show u pictures? Don't come here to put confusion with ur Divide and Rule tactics Presently, I dnt evn live in Edo state. I repeat I have lived in d following states delta, edo and rivers and i kn 4 sure dat d pple of dese states dnt want in on d biafran deal. I understand y u guys need SS. 1. U need our seaport 2. U need our oil. |
Politics › Re: Lower Niger Congress: The Five Point Mandates by sebali: 7:58pm On May 21, 2015 |
kastonkastrol: my friend tell yourself the simple truth. If the ss/se eventually secede from Nigeria to form their own nation, who will be your leaders? Won't the greedy ibo folks dominate the minorities and turn them to perpetual slaves? The ibos themselves are not even united. The iboman from anambra feels he's more superior to the ibos in imo state, while the ibos in enugu sees the ebonyi ibos as failures and lazy people.
You people might unite( against your perceived enemies) for now, but whenever your biafra nonsense is achieved, the loathe you have for one another will sprung up and before the world could take any action, another new nation called biafra will turn to south-Sudan.
Well sorry, Nigeria is not ready to accommodate any refugees. The people displaced by boko haram are already enough for us.
I really don't like commenting on this biafra and lower niger nonsense because I know is a fruitless cause and also a waste of time. The people even agitating for self determination among you ibos are unknown. When ayim pius ayim, okorocha, urji, peter odilli, jonathan, wike, akpabio start talking about self determination, then maybe the nigerian state will begin to take you guys serious Bros SS is no party 2 d whole Biafran trash. Ibos are alone on dis one |
Politics › Re: Lower Niger Congress: The Five Point Mandates by sebali: 7:48pm On May 21, 2015 |
Normality: Meaning of "Biafra" and location[edit] Little is known about the literal meaning of the word Biafra. The word Biafra most likely derives from the subgroup Biafar or Biafada[36] of the Tenda ethnic group who reside primarily in Guinea-Bissau.[37] Manuel Álvares (1526–1583), a Portuguese Jesuit educator, in his work Ethiopia Minor and a geographical account of the Province of Sierra Leone,[38] writes about the "Biafar heathen" in chapter 13 of the same book.[39] The word Biafar thus appears to have been a common word in the Portuguese language back in the 16th century.
Historical maps[edit] Early modern maps of Africa from the 15th–19th centuries, drawn by European cartographers from accounts written by explorers and travellers, reveal some information about Biafra:
The original word used by the European travellers was not Biafra but Biafara,[40][41] Biafar[42] and sometimes also Biafares.[43] The exact original region of Biafra is not restricted to Eastern Nigeria alone. According to the maps, the European travellers used the word Biafara to describe the entire region east of River Niger going down to the Mount Cameroon region, thus including Cameroon and a large area around Gabon. The word Biafara also appears on maps from the 18th century in the area around Gambia.[44]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biafra
Last note, I am not saying Biafra is an Igbo name, besides, name "Biafra" was given to Ojukwu by an Ijaw man, IPOB is not an Igbo only movement, get it right. Have u been to IPOB meeting anywhere in Nigeria? Do u know all clans in Biafra are fairly represented in IPOB, who do u think make up IPOB in over 90 countries of this world, the IPOB in Portharcourt, Asaba, Uyo and Calabar are all Igbo speaking Biafrans right? Igbo is a language in Biafra, just like we have Efik, Ibibio, and all other languages in Ijaw and Izon region. The movement for re-secession and freedom is one embraced by all Biafrans despite which clan they are from, u can see that with the leaders of Lower Nigeria Congress and the Directorate of State board in IPOB.
If when time comes and any clan says they don't want to be in, they can go, no one is forcing anyone, but u can't make others who want to be not to be.
Freedom at last! My friend am sure only ibos share d biafran dream. I hav neva in my lif heard someone 4rm Akwa ibom or cross river talk about secede as Biafrans. Pls wake up 4rm ur dreams. |
