Politics / Re: Massive Turn Out Of Supporters To The Flag Off Campaign Of Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah. Vid by secretcerish: 6:52pm On Sep 23, 2013 |
i will vote ifeanyi uba because; i dont want peter obi to continue to rule anambra through willie and apga, he is afraid that if another person comes in that all the phony investment he did with anambra funds in his name will leak. i dont want Ngige because he told us he doesnt want to be controled by chris uba, bu i have watched him being controled by tinubu, on the floor of the senate he follows acn opporsition views even when they are irrational, i dont want apc to get their hands on anambra, ngige should go back and finish the mandate they gave him to senate! pdp is still bickering and havent provded us with any candidate soludo and lots of other people who showed interest in apga ticket where shooed off cos obi needs someone he can control. ifeanyi uba is left following my elimination method, i dont want him initially but given the choices we have presently, i'll vote him! 2 Likes |

Poems For Review / Different You by secretcerish: 6:59pm On Sep 11, 2013 |
Last night he called you weird and I smiled He just confirmed what I have always known You are not like them You can either accept or reject it But you can never be like them Different you Today you dressed like her and she said it didn’t fit She only stated what he already said You can’t be like them Stop trying too hard You are just the way you are Different you Just now they pointed you out and I cheered I knew you will stand out You can’t pass unnoticed Better get used to it It is something you can’t fight Different you And again he followed you out and I peeked I was waiting for him to follow You are just too pronounced You were bound to be seen Accept it and have peace It’s all within you Different you |

Poems For Review / Spare Nigeria by secretcerish: 7:33am On Sep 11, 2013 |
Born out of an unhealthy marriage Forced by uncaring parents The beautiful rich bride The poor proud loved groom And their fertile quiet neighbours Formed this strange marriage Spare Nigeria The parents left, a bit pursued The bride rebelled half heartedly The deserting parents snuck back And the groom curbed the bride So the marriage continued A very confusing union Spare Nigeria Divorce is not an option But the sons accepted half heartedly So they stayed and watched They robbed their home They killed their brothers And the parents watched Spare Nigeria The parents broke all ties The bride and they groom divided the children Each took what he could grab The sons got more daring The division has become official The herds where left in carcass Spare Nigeria The sons’ children watched in fear They must take sides Most did not know about the bride or the groom The sons told them to be wary So they joined the charade The union was broken in their minds Spare Nigeria It only got worse Nobody stopped to save the marriage They just got used to the problems The parents where long gone So it was either the children or nothing But the children were not prepared Spare Nigeria The rich bride fought for her wealth The groom fought for control of his bride The children took sides and joined the fight Then it became a way of life Nobody dared hope for real peace It was a faulty union from engagement Spare Nigeria |
Poems For Review / Lets Be Friends by secretcerish: 7:26am On Sep 11, 2013 |
I really thought i needed you I felt the need to be with you It felt so good when am with you But the real truth is that am on my own Because you really where never there All those thoughts where mine Every of my feelings where me You just liked the image of me, look of me and the brain on me but you never did love me Maybe I should have called it out I should have accepted what it was I should have defined my place Accepted what you offered wasn’t love Just maybe, I would never have felt so used On a brighter note, you never lied At least not with your mouth Because your actions where clear You just liked me around, maybe not the way I wanted But then, accepting it for what it was would have really helped Maybe I fitted the kind of image you wanted Maybe I was just the poster card, presentable and reliable But truly it was never love, not on your part I should have cleared that up . And maybe then the lets be friends wouldn’t hurt 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Okonkwo Concedes APC Ticket To Ngige by secretcerish: 12:33pm On Aug 22, 2013 |
was it only two candidates? what has ngige done with the senatorial mandate given to him? what track record does he have to show really? plese dont tell me he built roads when he was governor cos that one is so marred by the stolen mandate he had and the fact that he knew he will be booted soon and needed to offer some crumbs. so fare he hasnt sponsored a single bill at the national assembly and hardly makes any serious contribution. why does he want to abandon his peoples mandate at the national assembly to come n run for governor. am not after what is best for APC or PDP or APGA or even the candidates themselves, am after whats best for the people of Anambra. the state has one of the most underdeveloped state capitals till date and is very backward in infracstructural development. they need a selfless leader...all this recycling wont cut it!www.cynicreport. |
Politics / Nigeria And The Crumb Syndrome by secretcerish: 4:58pm On Aug 20, 2013 |
The crumbs syndrome is a state of the mind where one develops an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the meagre acts of responsibility carried out by those in authority. This illness arises out of the fact that accountability by the ruling class has taken the status of novelty as state funds are hardly ever used to develop the state so that where an elected official is magnanimous enough to use a very minor percentage of the state’s resources appropriately, the masses will be so grateful for this obvious crumbs from the proverbial masters table that they would feel so overwhelmed with gratitude to the point of irrationality. This is mostly the reason why Nigerians vote corrupt politicians for second terms in office despite their under-performance when analysed rationally. Gratitude for road construction and a few other razmataz projects flagged off by the incumbent is usually seen with a kind of metaphorical magnifying lens by the Nigerian who is used to non-performance by the people in power. This illness also explains why every criticism of an elected officer in Nigeria is perceived by his followers as ingratitude on the part of the critic and the followers, being so overwhelmed by gratitude for the officials ‘’good work’’ would eagerly lambast and rundown any such critic for such effrontery and failure to appreciate what has been done for them. Criticism no matter how constructive is greatly abhorred and the truth of the facts of it does not save it from the mudslinging that normally accompanies that. Matters of public interest and opinion are handled with kid gloves because you dare not thread on some toes. Irrespective of intention, opinions of serious issues are twisted to suit the officials by their bandwagon of praise singers. Even situations where the constitution of the country is in issue, the wordings of the constitutions are usually sacrificed at the altar of personal sentiments and alignments. The long years of non-performance by office holders has made the people to believe that if an office holder performs his duties at all, he is automatically absolved of any complicity in any act of corruption or embezzlement no matter the magnitude. People mostly don’t care if you embezzle public funds in Nigeria as long as you drop crumbs for them to lap up, it does not matter that the projects you execute does not constitute up to a tenth of the allocation due the state. As a Nigerian you dare not question the acts of your governor, senator let alone that of the president without incurring some kind of irrational wrath from some quarters. It does not matter how poor this people have performed, what matters is that they have performed at all! The acts of these men and women we voted into office are defended by their stooges not with facts and figures that exonerates them of any complexity in acts of corruption but with songs of praise for projects executed while in office. I keep wondering if any of this politicians have ever used their private funds to develop the state, the whole praises is that they used the countries resources to develop the country, albeit a very minor percentage of what is allotted, then you wonder why all the praises? It is the crumb syndrome! PS: for those of you that need a foreign university report and studies to accept the existence of this syndrome, I assure you that you will find none. For further information on the study of this syndrome, kindly contact the blogger SOURCE: www.cynicreport. |

So the prosecutors did a bad job of prosecuting a guilty man...so d judge d facts are cold...does that make him innocent? Just because naija drags cases forever doesn't make d few dat are resilient enough 2 wait long enough 2 outwit a eweak system doesn't exactly make dis man a poster child for democracy plssss...anyways if his criteria for deciding dat Nigeria loves him is there normal rent a crowd of hungru northern boys who killed for 100 den he must be joking....ist comment on nairaland! |
