Probably due to the recent Jail Break in Ekiti and Niger States, Soldiers have been deployed to Okekura Prison Service, OkeKura which is already at the heart of Ilorin. But to my surprise, instead of the Army to be manning the Prison Yard as I assumed they must have been ordered, they turned Pakata Road, Oja-Oba, Ode Alfa Nda, and Ita Ogunbo linking to Okekura to No-Go-Area. They (the soldiers) harass, molest and embarrass masses by asking them to Swim in gutters, roll on hot road and do "frog-jump". Even to the extent of asking a guy to pull off his trousers which he had no choice. They barb or cut males' hair if they feel it's too long. An act which is nothing but violation of Human Right Law of the defenseless masses. People residing in the area, like one of my friend, hardly find bike (Okada) to convey them to our destinations as bike (Okada) riders turned the road to a "Temple Run". Though, Majority of the victims have been bike (Okada) riders and strangers who know nothing about the Army presence at the spot. If we can't Say NO to all these messes to the faces of the soldiers because they are armed, we can at least plead to Kwara state Government, Emir of Ilorin, Balogun Alanamu and Other concerned personalities to please come to our aid in saying NO to this harassment and molestation. Moreover, to save lives, it's high time Government moved the Prison Yard away from Okekura, because Okekura is already in the heart of Ilorin City where many people reside. |

All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has promised to provide allowances to discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months while in the skills and entrepreneurial development programmes, if elected in 2015. There is also the pledge to provide One Meal a day for all Primary school pupils. Buhari/Osibanjo administration also vow to create a Social Welfare Program of at least Five Thousand Naira (N5000) that will cater for the 25 million poorest and most vulnerable citizens upon the demonstration of children’s enrolment in school and evidence of immunisation to help promote family stability. “As a nation and the Sub Saharan Africa’s leading energy producer, we had in the past squandered the opportunity to build functional infrastructure to better the lives of the average Nigerian. We can no longer afford this luxury of inactivity. We must revive our public and private sectors in order to provide functional services and secure the good of the individual Nigerian and his or her family,” Buhari said in a document that reveals some of his plans for 2015. |
1. Needing to Pee Often Have you been finding yourself running to the bathroom more often than usual? If so, you might be pregnant! Frequent urination is one of the most common early signs of pregnancy. And it's not just restricted to the daytime. You may have to get up and pee at night, too! You'll want to consider taking a pregnancy test or least talking to your doctor if you have one or more of the following symptoms which could all be early signs of pregnancy. 2. Breast Tenderness One of the very first hints of possible pregnancy is sore and sensitive breasts and nipples. Your breasts might also start swelling and feeling heavier pretty early on. And, you may notice that the blood vessels on the breasts are more obvious. These changes are the result of rising hormone levels and increased blood flow in early pregnancy. But that's not the only thing you might notice. This next symptom is incredibly common! 3. Fatigue Are you feeling completely exhausted -- despite getting enough sleep? If so, at least consider the possibility of pregnancy. Many pregnant women suffer from extreme tiredness in the early weeks. 4. Nausea Nausea is the classic sign of pregnancy. It's commonly called morning sickness. But that's not really accurate, because for many women it feels like morning, noon, and night sickness! 5. Vivid Dreams Do you feel like you've been dreaming more often, and that your dreams are more vivid than normal? Believe it or not, this could be a sign you're pregnant. This dream surge is brought on by increased hormone levels -- and likely also because you're so tired, you're sleeping more! 6. Cramping and Spotting Don't freak out too much if you notice a tiny amount of bleeding early on in pregnancy. It could be implantation bleeding -- although not every pregnant woman experiences it. This light spotting can happen when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus usually about the time your period is due. And many women also have mild cramping due to ligament stretching. If either cramping or bleeding is more severe, definitely check it out with your doctor. 7. Headache You might get a headache for any one of a number of different reasons. Including pregnancy. If you suspect you're pregnant, take acetaminophen instead of ibuprofen to be on the safe side. 8. Backache Low back pain is one of the least enjoyable parts of being pregnant. And it can happen pretty early on. Put it down to loosening ligaments. 9. Cravings and Food Aversions Pregnancy hormones can really throw your appetite out of whack. Certain foods you normally love will suddenly gross you out. And you may well have cravings for foods that you have just got to have or else! 10. Super Sense of Smell A heightened sense of smell goes along with pregnancy for many women. That can be a bad thing when combined with morning sickness. Best to stay away from smells that suddenly make you gag! 11. Bloating Early pregnancy can be a frustrating time in many ways. Not least of all because you no longer fit your pants -- but don't look pregnant yet. What's the meaning of it all? Bloating! It's caused by your digestion slowing down. Adding to the problem can be constipation, also common when you're newly pregnant. 12. Mood Swings Feeling more emotional than usual? It could be due to fluctuating hormones in your regular menstrual cycle. Or, it could be a sign you're pregnant. Pay attention to your moods! 13. Higher Basal Body Temp Some women trying to become pregnant keep track of their basal body temperature to help them figure out their fertility. If you're one of them, you'll probably notice that your temperature rises in the couple of weeks between ovulation and when you get your period. But if you're pregnant, it will continue to stay high. 14. Feeling Lightheaded If you're suddenly experiencing dizziness -- or even fainting -- take note that it could be a sign you're pregnant. Or that you have low blood pressure or low blood sugar. To avoid this problem, make sure you're eating well and drinking enough to stay hydrated. 15. Late Period Is your period late? This is an obvious pregnancy sign. But there are many other reasons for a late period. Just as there could be different explanations for other possible pregnancy symptoms. The best thing you can do is to take a pregnancy test to find out for sure. If it's negative, and your symptoms aren't going away, wait a few more days or a week, and test again. If you are pregnant, congratulations! Make sure you schedule an appointment with your doctor. In the meantime take your prenatal vitamins, and take good care of yourself! |
As the race for the Saturday, February 14, 2015 presidential election hots up, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and gubernatorial aspirant in Lagos State, Dr Akintoye Branco–Rhodes has stated emphatically that President Goodluck Jonathan will defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari once again, thereby retiring the former military head of state politically. Daily Sun reports that Franco-Rhodes also used the opportunity to describe detractors of the President Jonathan administration as unpatriotic hypocrites, showering praises on the incumbent President for his grand achievements in the aviation, agriculture, rail, power and infrastructure sectors of the economy. He also beseeches the people of the South-West to vote out the APC and vote massively for the PDP in the forthcoming general elections. In his words: ‘‘Jonathan has done it before, he defeated Buhari in 2011, and come 2015, it is going to be the same story of defeat for the retired army general .My humble advice to Buhari is that he should withdraw from this race. At 72 what is he looking for again?. In 2011, President Jonathan defeated him, come 2015, Jonathan will not only defeat Buhari,he will retire him from politics ‘’It is not in our interest in the South-West to be in opposition. We need to be in the main stream by being part of the government at the centre. What has APC done for the South-West? Nothing ‘’They have been antagonistic of the central government thereby denying the people the opportunity of benefitting immensely from being part of dividends of democracy being enjoyed in PDP controlled states. We thank God that wind of change has started blowing with Ekiti State now in PDP fold, and that wind of change will blow away APC from South-West in 2015’’. |
Weah96:lol... Allah has already told us about your kind of person. He says suratul baqarah: "Q2|4|And who believe in (the Quran and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him) and in [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.). Q2|5|They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. Q2|6|Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe. Q2|7|Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allah's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment. Q2|8|And of mankind, there are some (hypocrites) who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day" while in fact they believe not. Q2|9|They (think to) deceive Allah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not! Q2|10|In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allah has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. Q2|11|And when it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peacemakers." Q2|12|Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not. Q2|13|And when it is said to them (hypocrites): "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be upon him, Al-Ansar and Al-Muhajirun) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not. Q2|14|And when they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe," but when they are alone with their Shayatin (devils - polytheists, hypocrites, etc.), they say: "Truly, we are with you; verily, we were but mocking." Q2|15|Allah mocks at them and gives them increase in their wrong-doings to wander blindly. Q2|16|These are they who have purchased error for guidance, so their commerce was profitless. And they were not guided. Q2|17|Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindled a fire; then, when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness. (So) they could not see. Q2|18|They are deaf, dumb, and blind, so they return not (to the Right Path). Q2|19|Or like a rainstorm from the sky, wherein is darkness, thunder, and lightning. They thrust their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunderclap for fear of death. But Allah ever encompasses the disbelievers (i.e. Allah will gather them all together). Q2|20|The lightning almost snatches away their sight, whenever it flashes for them, they walk therein, and when darkness covers them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Certainly, Allah has power over all things. Q2|21|O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). Q2|22|Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped). Q2|23|And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Quran) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah, if you are truthful. Q2|24|But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers. Q2|25|And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e. in the same form but different in taste) and they shall have therein Azwajun Mutahharatun (purified mates or wives), (having no menses, stools, urine, etc.) and they will abide therein forever. |
Covering the latest issue of RollingStone magazine, the rapper opens up again about everything from her breakup to her writing process in a candid, revealing interview. Read excerpts from her interview below: On opening up about her breakup: One of my goals was to give people a glimpse into my personal life because it’s something I’ve kept very private. I had to learn to do something as simple as sleep alone. I struggled with ‘Do I express these feelings?’ And I decided there’s no reason for me to hide. I’m a vulnerable woman, and I’m proud of that. On her abortion & teenage pregnancy: I thought I was going to die. I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I’d ever gone through. It’d be contradictory if I said I wasn’t pro-choice. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have anything to offer a child.

The Search teams scouting for the wreckage of AirAsia Flight 8501 have pulled 21 bodies from the Java Sea today but are struggling to locate the plane's black box recorder amid rain and rough water. According to DailyMail, today's total is the largest of the search so far, the number of bodies recovered has now risen from nine to 30, as dive teams say some were found still strapped into their seats. The news of further discoveries came as more corpses, including that of an 11-year-old boy, were identified and handed back to their weeping relatives at a police hospital in Surabaya, Indonesia. While the black box has eluded search boats so far, this afternoon crews announced they have found the tail of the plane sitting 100ft below the ocean's surface using sonar devices. It is still not known what caused the Airbus A320-200 to plunge into the ocean on Sunday and the plane's black box recorder, which will contain vital information, has yet to be located.

solidarity in the name of god. The word cazzo in Italy is a synonym for obscenity. As soon as the pope noticed the mistake in his blessing speech, he immediately corrected the word. One of the commentators on YouTube has said Pope has not flinch like a boss. He was a great person to correct the mistake in the next few seconds. But the damage has already been done. This topic has gone viral immediately on online in social media like Twitter and in Italian media. Social media has wide reach across the world. Any type of news will spread worldwide in just few seconds to minutes. Most of the people across the world spend two to three hours on social media chatting with friends and others. It is no wonder. People around the world that were watching the speech of Pope Francis and those gathered in the St Peters Square reconfirmed themselves ‘did he said the word f—k?’ It has been published in one of the dailies in England. People, who heard his speech on Sunday, were wondering whether they heard correctly while looking aside. They could not believe their ears. People can watch his speech online in YouTube etc. People can also this video on the smart phones enabled with Internet. However, Vatican made no comments on this issue. The Pope Francis belongs to Argentina. The uttering of word f*** is just like landing accidentally on a banana peel and slipping. The Pope wouldn’t mind to correct his correct his words during a speech to the public on Sunday. One person while commenting online on the mistake made by the Pope said it is very simple. It is the spelling mistake of a foreigner. It is nothing else. People, who read the speech of Pope online and in local newspapers, are advised to prevent engaging in hate speech and other comments. |
The Lagos State Public Advice Centre said the state government would soon start the conversion of water hyacinth into fertiliser for farmers. An official of the centre, Mr Alex Omorodion, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that most of the water hyacinth would be used for the benefit of the people. He said that the Lagos State Government would employ some private contractors, alongside the Lagos Waste Management Authority for the water hyacinth conversion project. “Water hyacinth is a natural phenomenon that occurs anywhere you have a large or medium scale water body. “Lagos State is addressing this issue by engaging contractors, alongside LAWMA, who would clear the hyacinth from the waterways. “Instead of just throwing them away, however, LASG is looking into ways to convert the hyacinth into fertiliser and papers.” The PAC official said hyacinth breed mosquitoes which had been of great health challenge to the state. “The natural phenomenon is that there is no way the breeding of these insects can be stopped but it can only be controlled or minimised,” he said. Omorodion added that the state government would continue to make the control of mosquitoes its priority. http://www.punchng.com/news/lasg-to-start-conversion-of-water-plant-to-fertiliser |

Sahih muslim, Book 33, Number 6390: Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) who is the most truthful (of the human beings) and his being truthful (is a fact) said: Verily your creation is on this wise. The constituents of one of you are collected for forty days in his mother's womb in the form of blood, after which it becomes a clot of blood in another period of forty days. Then it becomes a lump of flesh and forty days later Allah sends His angel to it with instructions concerning four things, so the angel writes down his livelihood, his death, his deeds, his fortune and misfortune. By Him, besides Whom there is no god, that one amongst you acts like the people deserving Paradise until between him and Paradise there remains but the distance of a cubit, when suddenly the writing of destiny overcomes him and he begins to act like the denizens of Hell and thus enters Hell, and another one acts in the way of the denizens of Hell, until there remains between him and Hell a distance of a cubit that the writing of destiny overcomes him and then he begins to act like the people of Paradise and enters Paradise. In another hadith Narrated by Ubadah ibn as-Samit(Radiallahu Ta'ala Anhu) Allah's Messenger Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The first thing which Allah created was Pen. He commanded it to write. It asked: What should I write? He said: Write the Decree (al-Qadr). So it wrote what had happened and what was going to happen up to eternity.
