This is what happens when states cannot generate significant revenues outside monthly FAAC .. What do you expect? Everything suffers! Is Gombe that bereft of any solid minerals that it cannot mine for the betterment of its people? The lawyers that will adjudicate here now, did they pass through the same law school? |

FEGNO: Do not think the Presidency did not know what to write but the Northern Oligarchs and the cabal crafted that speech to convey that they would not give an inch. Not mentioning the Lekki shooting was also very deliberate. How did Nigerians who witnessed Government sponsored thugs breaking up the riots expect a different speech beats me. Lets be careful! Sponsored thugs? Yes! But government? You can't be sure. Which government sef? State or Federal? It could also have been private, you know! And for the deliberate omission in the speech: Is it not words ? There's always a way to mint the words without necessarily admitting to anything, yet placating nerves. No be English ? |

CoolAmbience: How does anyone acknowledge what was alleged and still under investigation?
Anyway, her speech. Not the president's. Been completely silent about it either was a misnomer. Emotional Intelligence was utterly missing in that speech. |

Seniorwriter: @rastamouse note that it was a protest with #EndSARS + #EndPolicebrutality and was never a REVOLUTION talkless of calling it a failed one. Always have it in mind that this is a public forum and the right information decimation is needed and key knowing that many people are know informed properly and may assume when a wrong post of information gets to them.
You will agree with the fact that the protest had its mission and it achieved a level of awakening even internationally so the notion of revolution does not have a place and it's misplacement !!!
With this awakening an electorial revolution is imminent come 2023 !!!! That is when we can democratically revolutionise these ineffective governance that has always bedeviled Nigeria!!!
Keep it in mind and Cheers. Better Days Ahead.
© Seniorwriter You took these thoughts and words right out of my head. Get out of my head ! The protest has shown that we can be spontaneous. If we track a few months down the line and see that nothing seems to be moving in the 5 for 5, it will not be difficult to hit the streets again. And this time, we will plan it better. What was missing has been clearly highlighted by Chimamanda's speech and would be incorporated in the next line of protests. The thing shock them. |

Oizee: hmmmm, that was last year GTB birthday message to their customers, this year own dey different o Interesting.. It still amazes me till tomorrow that with all the opportunities out there, people still can't see a way out and resort to this. When your life can literally transfigure in 1 year! Let there be light in our lives! Let there be light in Nigeria! |

abbey621: He's not going to contest because he makes more money sponsoring those in power. Let's just say, as long as he does not contest for political office, he does not have to declare his assets and he can keep people guessing just how much billions he makes in a year. Furthermore, let's not deceive ourselves, this man will play a major role in who becomes the next governor of LAgos state, the next president of Nigeria. He don talk am, he remains the jagaban! If he will still remain relevant in deciding who becomes who in 2023, then our protest would have been in vain. I would have expected that we would use this opportunity to galvanize the youths into a formidable political force ahead of 2023. The youths, who evidently are tired of the status quo (both educated and uneducated) are the most of the voting population. So, it would be the utmost shame if we are unable to mobilise for 2023 under the guise of a new political party. It is never too late. Anyways, what do I know ? |
