Dolorsa: Ok..try and reduce the number of days you intend to stay in the UK, it will help in reducing the budget for the trip too Okau, let me do that and give you a feedback. Thanks a lot |

Dolorsa: Monthly disposable income is what you have left after your monthly expenses. If 50k is your monthly disposable income, visa won't be approved because it will take many months to accumulate the amount you intend to spend on the trip. You would have budgeted more than 2 times your monthly disposable income on a short trip which is red flag. I hope you understand Sorry i meant to type #150k |

Dolorsa: It boils down to how much you earn monthly after tax and probably pension(PFA), that's your net pay and what your monthly disposable income is. I appreciate your response, my monthly salary is 200k after tax and monthly disposable income is 50k |

justwise: I skipped your post because the answer to that question has been repeated far too many times here even in almost all the refusal letters posted here.
I'm happy to help when people ask a question that shows that they have read even a page of this thread. Thank you |

Seeyat: Hello oga @justwise and everyone on this great forum,
I'm almost set to reapply after my last refusal 2 years ago. I have booked male hostel for 10days at total of £108 in Lewisham, London, I'm trying to cut down my budget.
Now my question is, my monthly salary is 200k after tax and monthly expenses is 80k, how many months salary can i spend on this trip that will make sense?
Please guide me through.
PS: I wanted to cut down the monthly expenses as my wife is now working and we have no kids yet, but someone adviced me to stick to the monthly expenses i filled in my last application.
Please i need to be enlighten on this.
Many thanks and God bless as always Please @justwise i would like you to share your opinion |

giselle237: if your refusal was 2 years ago, I dont think anyone can categorically say that your budget can’t change in these 2 years either more or less... even the cost of everything has not been the same in the past 2 years.. even people save up for projects, to buy houses, to acquire property, to pay hospital bills and the likes and their monthly expenditure reduces... after I will upload my friend’s application, the finance side if he grants me permission ... his budget was 420k for 7 days on the grounds of tourism....hostel reservation included . first time applicant... his salary was 180k.. he filled that his monthly expenses was 25k..he is married but no children yet.. and he said he doesn’t have any dependants.. he was granted the visa because he was able to convincingly assure the visa officer on what he was saying..both in the finance section of his visa application and other areas. In a nutshell, examine your circumstances critically... no single month has the same expenses neither is everyone’s circumstance in Nigeria the same and the visa officer knows this. Then i think safety will be to say you will spend 2-3 months of your salary on this holiday after living expenses has been subtracted. 3 months been worst case scenario. Thats my opinion. I am not an expert.. Thank you so much, your reply means a lot to me. I would also appreciate if your friend can permit you as to post his application just for an eye opener. Thanks once again and God bless us all |

giselle237: you can ... just show proof of your spouse’s input into the household expenses or even times where she transferred funds to you. You can highlight this as her contribution to the family’s upkeep whilst providing her bank statement and yours But didn't transfer her contribution into my bank account. What can i do? |

Hello everyone, if I'm visiting London on tourism does it have to be central London or anywhere in London? I'm asking because i see a cheap hostel there |

Yommieyomi: I suggest you keep pace with your initial application. If you reduce your expense for the fact that your wife is now working is likely to be mis-represented for irresponsibility and desperation. Maintain same story, try and fix issues that came up on your last application properly. My candid opinion. Thanks a lot |

ijeshaoflondon: So far you have other documents to back it up no probs ... your monthly expenditure can never be the same so no hassle about that... your travel history would also help your application... Thank you so much. I will keep in touch in case i have questions God bless |

ijeshaoflondon: Good to hear that ur salary is 200k and that you receive funds from your property. How much is ur monthly expenses? are you married with kids? What documents have you to tender to show that the property your being paid the rent does exist ? How much do u receive from rent?
YOU NEED TO DO UR MATHEMATICS VERY WELL OR ELSE IT WONT FLY.
If ur monthly expenses is 70k.. then you have 130k left
130×6 = 780.... rent of( 320k) to make 1.1m... I appreciate your response for real. My monthly expenses is roughly 50k my wife is also working and supportive. No kids yet. Rent is paid in 3 to 6 months which receipts are issued and i have other document to back it up My question is, my monthly expenditure varies from month to month, how can i balance that. Also i have traveled to couple countries since my last refusal Please keep in touch and God bless |

ijeshaoflondon: Salary account or savings account.... ? 10k - 1.1m looks like a red flag to me ... well ur salary determines the how you were able to save such amount within a 6months. My salary is 200k after tax and i sometimes receive rents from tenants |

Dolorsa: I note from your last refusal that the ECO stated that your company company couldn't be verified via open source independent verification; since it is represented as a global company according to the name: GGK GLOBAL Limited. Now, let me give you a hint on what they meant by open source independent verification. If you type company names like Shell, Chevron and a host of others, you can easily get the companies contact details like addresses and phone numbers online. But GGK global limited doesn't have anything of such online. If you type GGk global limited on google, it won't bring up anything and that is because the company has no functional website. It's either the company has a website so it could be verified via OSIV or you get a good travel history to make them overlook the fact that it's not verifiable via OSIV. Remember these people will always look for the slightest reasons to deny an applicant. As for the 10K opening balance, when you started work and how much you earn will be used to judge that. My 2 cents. Gurus in the house can also support or spot flaws in what i have written. That's why we are all here. To learn. No one knows it all. Thank you, i appreciate |

TonyyS: is this the only reason for ur denial. Majorly, yes |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Seeyat: 8:24am On May 29, 2019 |
TonyyS: didnt the "Global" show on the company's letterhead as part of the company's name? It shows but it does not represent "worldwide" it was a name available during the registration |

Good morning @justwise and other helpful people,
The company where i work has "Global" in its registration name but it's a local company and not global, the embassy mistakes it to be globally known. What can the company do to explain better so that the ECO can understand that it's not a globally known company. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Seeyat: 7:05am On May 29, 2019 |
omicron: you can submit a five months payslip and bank statement, if that will improve the opening balance. Better than an opening balance of 10k. Thank you |

Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Seeyat: 8:13pm On May 28, 2019 |
Dolorsa: Make sure you are able to tackle the reason for your first refusal. That way your application will fly. Does your company now have online presence as it is a global one? Otherwise, get good travel history. Wish you well. The name global doesn't mean the company is global. I think that is where mix up comes in. It's a local company but the name sounds as if it's a global company. How can i explain this to ECO? Please advise |
