CultureRe: What Is Your Take On Homosexualism? by SEFAGO(m): 12:21am On Jun 05, 2010
bawomolo:
sagamite - why is right for heterosexual couples to engage in anal and oral intimacy but wrong for homosexual couples to do so?
that seems hypocritical to me since your argument against homosexuals is that they can't reproduce.  does anal or oral lead to reproduction?

lol because only and only homosexuals have anal sexxxx. i bet them lesbians are having a lot of anal loving. its funny how you guys reduce a relationship to only intimacy. what about loving and caring for the other partner? is intimacy all you guys think about.

its also funny that the most homophobic people have detailed descriptions of gay intimacy.
grin grin grin. Anyway, the reproductive argument is just hilarious. I usually just ignore it. S=e=x is not even done to have children- its usually a byproduct lol

Its even quite interesting that people are more focussed on homosexuality, and forget lesbianism- i.e they tie being gay to homosexuality. As scientifically described its a homophobia- I think psychologist should start studying the illness homophobia and start prescribing drugs to treat this phobia lol.

One has no choice but to once again point out the selective honesty of Dr. Aneke. Dr. Aneke was proud to mention the fulani mayor of Enugu and Eyo Ita an Efik. If the Yorubas did not show the same example how come Nnamdi Azikwe found himself an elected member of the Yoruba dominated Western House of Assembly? Did Dr. Aneke's selective memory failed to recall that Azikwe was not the only non-Yoruba elected into the Western House? May be Dr. Aneke's history teacher forgot to teach him that before the self- government trial of the fifties non- Yorubas have been elected into the Lagos House of Assembly before Azikwe introduced tribalism into the Nigerian politics as an excuse for his own failed political leadership?

Awo wanted Zik to be the Prime Minister of Nigeria! He offered to serve under Zik as the Federal Finance Minister at Independence, in the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians. Is this how a tribalist behaves? That Awolowo did this was not out of character, giving up his ambition for the good of the country by asking Zik to assume leadership of the federal government. But rather Zik chose to become a powerless ceremonial head of state! In the late 1940s he (Awo) had enraged Prince (later Odemo of Ishara) Samuel Akinsanya (who came from the same local government as Awo) by supporting an Igboman against him as the Secretary of the Nigerian Youth Movement. What a tribalist indeed!

First of all, throughout the article in question, Dr. Aneke failed to describe for his readers any factual situation as related to the 1954 incident at the Western House of Assembly that suggested that Awo "is the undisputed father of micro-ethnic politics in Nigeria." He failed to go beyond the usual obfuscated mantra of the Igbo politicians of Nnamidi Azikwe genre that Awo "is a tribalist because of the carpet crossing of some members in the Western House of Assembly". This kind of approach makes it possible for them to perpetuate their lies about that event and be able to continue to appeal to the primordial loyalty of average innocent Igbo for political gains. It is paradoxical that the Igbo people who gave so much loyalty and support to Nnamdi Azikwe and his clique could not finger anything of importance bequeathed to them as a result of Zik's leadership. Therefore, to sustain the loyalty of the needy Igbo people to a failed leadership by Zik, there has to be a permanent enemy, real or imagined, and Awo was a perfect scapegoat. A.M.A Akinloye who led the cross carpeting was not good enough for obvious reasons. He Akinloye could easily go to town to reveal the deal Zik refused to accept. To force Zik apologists to contend with the factual situations of that 1954 event is to expose their shrouded lies and rob them of an effective tool of political control over the over exploited Igbo people. To tear down this cocoon of Zik's failed leadership is to encourage the Igbo people to seek alternative political leadership. Nevertheless, that we must do, because "you can fool some people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time."
Zik was truly the grandfather of tribalism in Nigeria. Otherwise, instead of going back to the East to manipulate the emotions and the primordial sentiments of the Igbos, why did he not stay in the West and fight Awo for his every penny? He ought to have stayed in the West and fight it out. Moreso, at this time, Awo was not even a household name in Yorubaland. For example, my people in Ijeshaland were die hard NCNC followers for several years until they, like other NCNC faithfuls in Yorubaland were abandoned by the "Grest Zik'! If Zik was not to pave way for ethnic politics in Nigeria he should not have forced Eyo Ita out and malign Chief Awolowo for being able to give and take.

FYI- This thread is not to even praise awolowo but to mock the hypocrisy of most people. I dont think anyone in there right mind would compare awolowo to Mandela, and nothing in the thread title claims awolowo is even better than Zik. However- me especially- I am tired of igbo people claiming the are superior to any ethnic group.

All these ethnic talk is the least of my probs.

9.  Biafra is funcked! The "Army" and poplulation is demoralized! Theres no military uniform, boots or other equipment! The soldiers fight in flip-flops and are handed "one gun for 2 soldiers". Each soldier is given a bullet each! The population is starving while Ojuku and his chronies feed fat! Pictures emerge of Biafran kids with stomachs the sizes of Spalding Basketballs. Thanx to Ojuku and those lil, innocent, malnourished Ibo kids these pics are circulated around the world and adds to the stereotype the world already has of African kids. Thanx alot starving Ibo kids
Good documentation . . . but I think you are missing that part of history where Ojukwu refuses to accept food from western nations

DURING a full year of civil war in Nigeria, the secessionist state of Biafra has banked more on winning the world's sympathy than a military victory. Last week the Biafrans had an undeniable claim to attention—and to pity. Malnutrition was killing off more Biafrans than the Federal troops who occupy most of their land. The chief killer was the protein- deficiency disease called kwashiorkor, which turns the hair to reddish gold and cruelly swells both limbs and stomachs. Workers of international relief agencies reported that as many as 3,000 Biafrans a day were dying and that total deaths might reach 2,000,000 by the end of August.
The government points out that the Biafrans, led by Lieut. Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu, have turned down a plan to have the Red Cross ship food through federal territory to Biafra. But Gowon insists on federal handling of any such shipments, and the Biafrans fear that his men would poison the food: they cite instances of beer laced with cyanide and powdered milk infected with bacteria found in Biafra. Even if Gowon allows the shipment, says Biafran Chief Justice Louis Mbanefo, "we would not touch it."
Ojukwu has also said no to a British offer of $600,000 in relief funds. His reason: Britain sells arms to Gowon. Therefore, says Ojukwu, to give food at the same time would only "fatten the Biafrans for slaughter with British-made weapons."

. War (more like a military training exercise) breaks out! Biafra is fucnked up within 3 weeks and the Nigerian Govt just has fun pounding the hell out of it for the next 3 years! Testing its newly acquired bombs on Biafra is fun to Nigerian army officers like Babangidah! The Nigerian Govt chooses to have fun fighting a "slow" war, the blood thirsty officers amongst them pray for the war to never end so that they can spill as much Biafran blood as possible. Instead of wasting men and ammo, the Federal Govt funck the Biafrans up by: (1) Creating States; (2) Changing the currency thereby making the Biafran Pound even more worthless than Monopoly money ; (3) Starving the Biafrans to death. To add insult to injury the above three actions are proposed by a genius Yoruba who still haunts the Ibos even when they are wide awake! The rumors about Mr Awolowo begin! (1967-1970)
This was oddly my favorite . . .

Everyone knows that Ojukwu's father was one of the RICHEST men in AFRICA.
You said one of the  richest men- thats means there are others. I would wager than bank-Anthony would smash Ojukwu's father or at least equal in wealth.

But to win half of lagos? Have you ever lived in lagos? I lived in VI and Lekki so I know what I am saying

http://www.gatesscholar.org/our-scholars/where-are-they-from.asp

This gives you profiles on some of the gates people. I beleiev you probably have been to this site. there are supposed to be 5 scholars from Nigeria. I think if you apply you might be placed in the US pool.

Nigeria has 5 scholars, the US has 436 wtf we are a former British colony. Anyways a quick sampling of Americans with gates, lots of top school bias including top liberal art colleges. India and US have the largest number of scholars I think outside of Europe.

Another thing I noticed about British schools is that they love people who graduated from American Universities regardless of whether its a good school or not. When I mean love, its like true love lol grin.

ok so I am kinda bored today so I just wanna rant. I hate it that investment bankers and all these finance people make so much more than engineers. Plus what do we get for it? financial meltdown upon financial meltdown. Almost everyone goes to work for those banks or hedge funds. It's just not right man. Things need to change. Engineers don't get treated well. I don't wanna work in a lab forever, so am kinda apprehensive about this graduate school thing.
You could still work in an investment bank grin grin grin

Bros Dede1, you better believe what you read from that two faced character. I don't know what he knows about the USA, but he fails to see that President Obama was born in Hawaii but contested for US Senate and presidency from Illinois; Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is from Texas, but represented New York in Senate. I can go on.
This has major flaws. In case you dont know Obama was a professor at UChicago so it would make sense for him to represent Illinois. Hilary Clinton (Not fro Texas) has to base her residence in New York. Basically even in the US you need to establish residency of a state before you can run. Why? So that you can connect with your constituency

One is that the H1-B is significantly abused especially as mentioned in the article. Its common knowledge that Infosy and Satyam are two of the largest sponsors of the H1-B but only sponsor visas for engineer from India. Also in the case of engineers- firms usually find hire foreign engineers and pay them lower wages than they would for American engineers which is another way the system is abused.

However, I can state confidently that with a asters of PhD degree in engineering, one chances of getting sponsorship are way better than people with soft skills. I did know people who got immediate sponsorship at the bachelors level- most where working in the finance sector or technology sector.

There is also another type of visa in which you could work for a multinational and then get transferred to the US office.  This is quite a common technique though top tech companies, are already using this loophole and gobbling all the work visas they can get to get skilled talent.

^ You are such a fool. Consider the fact that Zik was contesting during an era in Nigeria when people still strongly identified with their ethnic group as opposed to any other group. You are now comparing it to an hausa mayor which is a prolly a different timeline.

He is wondering why Zik would want to contest elections outside Igboland and specifically in western Nigeria, but he would deny carpet crossing with every fiber of his being! Shocked What a character! So, what are we arguing then? Huh Huh
Wasn't there a time an Hausa man was the Mayor of Enugu?
What time was this? was this not recent? Ziks case was just when Nigerian identity was at its infancy. Why are you not even making sensible comparisons.
