I'm not even in Boston now. Phone number indeed. So you no go drop number. I am asking for my brothers oh. Anyways I try sha. |
Thanks, aunty SmileyHEHE, dont worry, I am the laziest person in the world- stalking needs a lot of effort. I never like to leave my laptop. But seriously though cut down on the info you place online. Before we know it you would give us your phone number, then chic2pimp, H2O2, and even becomrich would be calling you asking you for dates so that they can have smart children. |
^ multitasking darling |
chic2pimp:Who cares, I want fight joor . Pissing out of this thread- the thread/trouble ratio on the politics and romance sections is way higher than that on the education section ![]() |
chic2pimp:olodo ![]() Chrisland is an average school (SEFAGO is bored about all these lovey dovey stuff) |
I went to Oluwole school of hard knock's. Then I graduate with my agbero degree with flying colors top of my class. Now I can jump on any bus in mid movements- no one can shout "Oshodi Oshodi, better than I can " |
I was gonna cross out that question, like you would answer. Cheesy You went to Adesoye!!Ha know that's a private school and its not in lagos. Is it because of the yoruba name hehe, you thought it was a public school. ![]() |
H2O2:But you could damage a fly sha no be so? |
That's the problem. It's weird when you're being nice.Yeah it seems H2o2 is a big asshole on NL. Chiogo has an an amazing achievement, I think I smell jealousy Cheesytrue congrats chiogo- enjoy your moment of glory (sefago, holds his fingers to prevent himself from typing any derogatory statement )What school was that? Grin Was it boarding? My sis went to one. Usually people living in VI send their kids to Chris land, etc.Don't worry , a lot of them are on nairaland though. But it depends on whats the fad- during my time it was adesoye, olashore, Atlantic halls, loyola jesuits, vivian fowler and lagoon.smart naija people seeing how nigerian parents select schools based on how expensive they are and not how good they are set up shop, and before you know it schools like lekki british international school, british international school, dowen college came up. |

FL Gators:But Wale is likely to cheat like all celebs (Tiger woods ), while poor people like me with no game, would have no option to stick with you, have you considered that? You could have 100% me versus 10% wale ![]() Anyways, i am hiring a divorce lawyer, but right after I clear my credit card debt- thank God we signed a prenup |
FL Gators:So you have never considered loving someone who is poor? So does that mean you ignore broke guys ![]() Na wa oo |
FL Gators:Wale is not rich. And is it by force that you have to marry someone for money? What about love? |
You know you can't be married to both Wale and SEFAGO. Pick one.She has made her choice infact we are on our honeymoon now. FL Gator is just fronting. Ah ah, Victoria Island is now a village? I miss Amala sha. Grin The equivalent.Thats where i lived, not where i did secondary school. i did secondary school on the mainland and i think it was the best decision my parents made for me. It shaped me into a survivor- lagos public school no be small joke. In between fights with rival schools which involved broken bottles and wooden sticks, as well as studying for math exams, and being bullied by seniors (who consistently too my pocket money until one dey I vex for them and set a trap which got most of them expelled ), school was crazy. Dont you just miss Nigerian food? No matter how much you get outside the shores you just yearn for indomie (the ones abroad dont taste like the one in naija), pounded yam (the fake processed one is disgusting), fried plantain )except you live in the south), even tom tom and fanta. I used to enjoy the taste of coke because it was a luxury, now that I can buy a thousand bottles it has lost its taste. chic2pimp:Please quote anywhere I said I was better , I said it wasn't all that- you guys should kow the difference. I didn't even include primary school where I used to carry the whole class on my head consecutively ![]() |
chic2pimp:I actually came last in secondary school once- just once though. , the good old times, I missed like a whole school session playing gameboy especially pokemon red or was it silver. And I used to get flogged all the time for not doing my homework so I used to just miss school. Now I am better lol, funny how people could change. |
chic2pimp:hehe, some of us confer it on ourselves not only in america. sebi me too I be valedictorian for my village secondary school. Abeg let me go and chop my amala joor b4 it turns into stone, all this school talk is making me hot and bothered. |
H2O2:I dont know either actually, I just saw chiogo and so I joined the thread. |

You're right - I am aiming for the big fish. You do the same, no be by typing essays on Nairaland.I think my time is better spent chasing girls and causing trouble I already know my level, I am an average student and I dont aspire for higher. I just criticize and encourage more academically brilliant people. However, valedictorian at University is a big thing- I would personally create the thread if you make it. Even Phi Beta Kappa is impressive (Very few black people make phi beta kappa). What I want is national/international achievement. How you gonna steal one of my favorite lines? And you didn't even say it right.U like wale too? Weird I thot he wasn't really popular. Yeah I truncated it a bit to fit my purpose. I dont know why People like to Diss Southern Public Schools. Now if this is true that is worthy of a thread. It is likely not true though, especially if she is related to platinumnk hehe Well, it does say something about quality. Original is always better. C'mon, if Public education started here, you really think we have the worst education compared to those who emulated us? I'm just saying. GrinOk good point. |
chiogo:I do have the right to be cocky, disc jockeys jock me. (Wale) , I am not cocky just realistic. Hope you know Boston public school is the oldest public school system in America, the education def. can't be that bad compared to the south, going by what I heard anyway. But you my friend, your type motivate me. This is mediocre abi? I'm aiming for the bigger fish now in college, keep an eye on your newspaper.Doesn't say anything about quality. How many magnet science schools are in Boston that attract the best students who decide to forgo top prep schools? Massachusetts, like most areas in New England, is better know for its prep schools than its public schools. Public Schools in the south are only bad when its full of minority students by the way. Aim for the big fish- valedictorian at college. Even aim higher, your excellence would make me happy. I am treating you like my child, wanting the best for you now . So I thought Undecided GrinI didn't say it was mediocre. I do have a rough idea of the quality of the school, but that is my business. Do some research on the school if you want, and have nothing to do. By the way Boston Public schools were famous for being segregated. Anyone with a good knowledge of American history knows exactly what that means .I agree you don't have to be supersmart to get into cambridge however you do have to be very very smart.Yeah that gives him an edge- I was arguing with someone on NL about the importance of a good high school foundation in preventing black people in the west (America/UK) from doing well in standardized exams and GCSE/A-Levels. My family friends who went to these expensive private schools would not be able to even survive with the math geniuses at all those government colleges in Nigeria. However, the edge they got as a result of their wealth and slightly above intelligence got them to their present position. Yeah they are very rich- most were poor like us, until the interim government of Abdulsalami after abacha died- during this period, I think these people had unlimited access to the coffers in Nigeria and their kids left after primary school for boarding school in the UK. Its just sad that their kids were given so much more opportunities while denying the uneducated masses in Nigeria a similar opportunity. People claim there is something called "karma" but I don't think it actually exists. As I said let me leave my politics behind. |
FL Gators:Hey na, see me see trouble. So I cannot criticize again. Anyways congrats to chiogo- I would take my socialism and pan-african politics elsewhere. Congratulations again, as I mentioned earlier I was never a good student in secondary school so this is impressive ![]() I like chiogo a lot, she is a very cool girl. She is actually one of my favorite people on NL. However, I am in love with you FL Gator so no worries |
^ Boohoo, congratulations chiogo- lol, i forgot about that. Sorry for my bad manners. I still stand by my position though, we should be celebrating nobel laureates, and advancement of Africans in science and business. Anyways, I just have a totally different view of the world, I apologize for imposing it. But I just want the best for my countrymen/countrywomen ![]() |
rhymz:hehe funny guy, I like you ![]() |
I'm not that smart Embarrassed I'll just say my high school wasn't very challenging, moving from Naija.See wetin I talk. The school is a typical public school in massachusetts . I just spoke the truth. I had a roommate who was salutatorian in his class at the best secondary school in the US. Asian kid, wicked smart. He was unable to get into a top school because of his race (Asians are held under very high standards in college admissions) and he transferred out to one of the HYPs. I never really liked him, because he made really racist remarks about black people and their intelligence, but one thing I stand by- brilliant boy.Mind you: I am, even though you dont need it, a bit impressed, but its not worth all the noise- I just feel it was highlighted to give Africans some little pride, which is not what we need- we need big pride. I made this statement because after my observation of achievement in America, I feel Africans should not be looking at small cheese but looking at the big picture. |
H2O2:haha you are beginning to talk like a oyibo. You are so gay ![]() |
chic2pimp: , but I thought it was college actually. Thats the truth- valedictorian doesn't mean much except if she attended a magnet school. Her High school is not a magnet science school, neither is it a top private (Philips academy, St pauls, tafts or choate).Stop down playing your achievement jare.Well getting into cambridge doesnt really mean that you are super smart though. I know four close family friends at cambridge- what i noticed what they were very rich though combined with some intelligence. I admit they were way smarter than I was Also they attended public schools- one attended Harrow, the other Winchester, and the two girls cheltenham ladies. Did your cousin attend public school? If your parents compare you to him point that out to them. Nigerian parents like to do that a lot. My dad keeps on comparing me to his children's friends even though these people are from wealthy backgrounds. Wetin poor man pikin like me go do? I am a scholarship kid. See if my dad was smart he should have joined the Nigerian government a long tym ago ![]() |
chiogo:Its ugly it sounds a bit trashy- especially the girls, lol, its like something from a movie. Hehe anyways let me not make any judgements au revoir. |
chiogo:See I dont do that- my exam is on friday- I started last week. I know I have to start early because I have a short attention span. I actually have a bit of an attention disorder which I struggle with and I dont take drugs for it. Its tough doing well in school when you cannot pay attention for more than 5 minutes. So I work harder than the average person. Like I can be in the library from 12pm till 5am the next day. I also a perfectionist, so if a project is not perfect I go crazy. I could spend 3hrs correcting a sentence in an English paper just to make it sound perfect. Or I could keep reading a line in a textbook until I understand it even if that sentence is insignificant to my exam. Anyways you are correct I have to go away. |
You're coming to Harvard, eh? Don't worry, we'll meet up when I get there for my grad too.I am considering it. My other options are terrible right now so i might end up there if things dont change. Is the place- Boston- full of oyibo people? I have friends from Boston but they are all Irish, and they have this weird boston accent. |
