It is NOT norm for men to cook while his wife is around, however, he can help his wife if she is too tired or if she works too hard. My point is that every woman should and ought to know how to cook by learning from parents.

I think interracial dating is all well, however, it is a hard work and lots of patience. I used to be in this situation before when I first came to the States and believe you me it is not easy. For caucasians side they don't like you for who you are and for the black side they think you are playing too big and no matter what you and your partner do it always comes back to lovely one another. I am not in that relationship anymore but my advice is for couples to always talk about issues heads on.

In the world of fantasy for a naija babe dating a naija man in naija, these would sell nicely, but in reality, i don't see 10% of naija men doing half of these all their lives, wait for him to open the doors for u - u'll wait forever, wait for a naija man to cook - prepare to go to your mum and learn how to cook, and so on,

Be realistic, think of when last your folks in naija even went that far, the europeans will have their ways but their women are also worth doing such for because what they see as important are not what we see as important and vice versa. Their economies will also promote such because the difference is clear.

A woman in naija or even africa is a "Woman", and there is a clear contrast between a man and a woman, all that equal rights and crap they use abroad wont work with us and we know it, thats why we don't have the kind of divorce rates as they do, so quit all the long gist about what the ideal "treat her like a lady" crap, we all know what it is, focus on how to make these a reality and make them work because right now, i don't see it happenning, maybe at the early stages of the relationship but definitely not sustainable for life

I am been realistic my brother, as you mentioned it is sad that you thought only 10% of men would be able to do this things but my point is for all Nigerian males to wake up and do as the west when it comes to romance because women in the world are demanding love and respect. Those days are gone when women stayed home and are asked to be fed when they laid on sofa watching TV. Also yes they have equal rights just like you and I, women are liberated and self sufficent and most are ready to support their partners financially, emotionally and physically with the household expenses and all other natural things.

It is not a crap anymore, it is what it is so you better join the world and treat the ladies nice or else most will standalone in this lonely world. Believe you me most women in naija have changed they want responsible man just like you and I want a responsible woman. Time has changed so live with it. It is not crap but reality,
