While the Southsouth helped Tinubu get the required statutory 25% of 2/3rd of states to win the presidency the Southeast vehemently and openly worked against him, and gave all their votes to Obi who promptly lost to Tinubu.

The jungle has now matured. It's time to reap where you sowed, and the Southeast, not retrospective over why they are out of the power equation again, are asking Tinubu to reward them with the Senate Presidency at the expense of the well derserving people of Southsouth for what they call "national unity" reasons.

Didn't they know that there was something called "national unity" before and during the elections? How can you work for Hero Beer and ask MTN to pay your salary? How can you refuse the offer of Unilever shares, go ahead to buy the shares of Next Supermarket, and after Next made a loss, you ask Unilever to deprive their shareholders and pay you their dividends - all because you suddenly remember national unity?

You cry marginalization when nobody ever deprived you of anything you earned in Nigeria, but want to be rewarded with fruits of the labour of the people of Southsouth as if they don't matter or are non-existent as far as you are concerned?

Look at the facts and tell me who deserves to produce the next Senate President between the Southeast and Southsouth:

1. Southeast gave Tinubu 0/5 of their states.
Southsouth gave him 5/6 of their states

2. Southeast gave Tinubu 6% of their votes.
Southsouth gave him 30% of their votes.

3. The Southeast senators that won their seats selfishly worked for themselves only in the election and neglected Tinubu. Thus they had huge numbers for themselves while Tinubu had almost nothing from their places.
The Southsouth senators that won their seats worked for both themselves and Tinubu. Thus they both had huge numbers from their places.

4. The entire Southeast zone gave Tinubu a paltry 127k votes.
Cross River state alone which is not even the highest in their zone, gave him 130K votes, and as a zone Southsouth gave him 800K votes.

5. The trend of APC's votes in the Southeast is falling in every election since 2015.
APC's votes in the Southsouth has been rising in every election since 2015.

6. Southeast has not forgiven APC for the loss of the presidency by their "son" Jonathan when they defeated their beloved PDP in 2015.
The Southsouth have moved on, forgotten about 2015, and are embracing APC. Their body language suggests that they don't want to be in opposition anymore.

7. According to the present trends, with the Senate Presidency, the Southeast will still NEVER vote for APC in the future. Their unwarranted hatred for the party is too deep.
According to the present trends, with the Senate President, the Southsouth have a chance of becoming another APC stronghold in the near future.

If politics remain a game of numbers, why should APC deprive the Southsouth zone which is becoming a fertile land for them to garner higher votes in the future, of the Senate Presidency in order to placate the Southeast which is determined to remain a political desert that irrespective of how much they are appeased, cannot yield the party any useful number of votes going forward?

I believe in your capacity, If it was only the projects that tinubu met before he came in as governor that are still here today. We will be in much serious problem.
Population of lagos then was around 7m now its over 25m
So many construction projects.

The truth is they have actually gone out of their way to generate funds. Do you know much the infrastructures cost in lagos. The redline, the blue line.

Governance is also beyond physical projects. Policies, systems. Tinubu tried in those areas to a very large extent, in the nigerian context.
Some states are beginning to copy and implement his blueprint.

If incompetent sets of leaders have taken over lagos since then. By now lagos state will be much worse than this. Look at other states with assets. assets worth billions of dollars wasting away. Despite stringent measures from Obasanajo, Tinubu was till able to do well. It takes a good leader to be able to make use of opportunities. Many oil producing states and those earning oil derivation funds have nothing to show for it. This is in addition with their federal allocation. Still they're owing salaries. Can't we see it.?

When we see something that needs adjustment. It's completely fine to call it out. When we see good things, let's understand that its a good thing and commend.

Its not every adjustment that needs change of government. Its how some people have spoiled their country till date.
Governance is a huge task especially a city like lagos. We need to be very sure the government coming in actually has the capacity and support system to take on the work.
We can guess work on a city like lagos.
The effect will be very brutal for not just lagos but the whole of nigeria.

As at 2015 Lagos population was 15 millions, in 2022 it is around 23 millions. This is about 5 countries population from another angle. And the landmass is a little over 3000 square meter. The population density is outrageous and too much for a smallest state like Lagos. The infrastructure will quickly worn out, the pressure will be too much.

Every other states need to wake up, Lagos is carrying the burden of over 30 states in the country. If anything should ever happen to Lagos, then Nigeria is in trouble. Reason we can't give someone who never had a record of managing 100 people on a positive project to test run his capacity.

Unfortunately, only APC can still produce the Cheif Executive Officer of the state because they already have a structure that build the leadership capacity of the next successor of every current governor.

Lagos must not fail
Lagos must triumph
And Lagos remain a Yoruba Land.

I remember growing up then, most landlords in my area will never give their house to an Igbo because they will want to dominate.

They have issues with Hausas
They have issues with Fulanis
They have issues with Yorubas
They have issues in Rivers state
They're now having issues in Edo.

Just take and look at the origin of our problem, they're the architect, killing Tafawa Balewa. I thought education would have helped to format their domineering attitudes but still it is getting worse. With the way they're going, becoming the president of this country might be a pipe dream for them even if they have the best candidate because of their intolerant to others even to themselves.

Obi campaign is basically a religious and ethnic based campaign.
I was telling someone that a muslim-muslim campaign is not an issue, even when Buhari was campaigning with Pastor Bakare and Pastor Osinbajo, people were still accusing him of islamizing the country.
Since muslim-muslim ticket has been on ground, they've never went to any mosque to campaign, but Obi that even choose a Muslim has been to mosst churches in the country, he has never visited any mosque. He was even heard telling church to take over the country. Apart from that his campaign has been tribal based, even from his campaign list.
Obi ran his states on Catholic mantra, he'll definitely be biased when he gets that presidency sear, look at what his PCC member is saying.

Every top politcian, even soldiers since Shagari's time (1980s) used the 2nd Niger bridge to play okoso.

They promised and failed. Woefully.

It came to 1999, PDP took over. They used the bridge to campaign. They harvested unparalleled votes from SE people. Elections came and went. Nothing nothing.

It got to Jonathan, he promised to go on exile. Nothing nothing. Na Mali e dey go now sha on Buhari's behalf.

Atiku and Obi (Aki and Paw Paw) came too. They used the same bridge to campaign. Voice mail!

Ladies and gentlemen, the rejected stone has become the headstone. Buhari who is viølently hâted by a lot of the people has done it.

They even refused him audience with Ohanaeze. In fact, they didn't reply his letters. Man wrote thrice 2015, no response.

Everything Buhari wished to do, they mount barriers. Despite the distractions, the general with his commanding officer Fashola have delivered. Full dose.

They once said nothing was going on there. That it was a ruse. But today, they say Jonathan paid for it. Oh what a shame.

But we move. Fashola is a Tinubu protege. Where they were made, they keep promises. Tinubu will take the bridge template to other projects and deliver them.

That's the difference between substance and style. In this case, the Buhari government has earned both.

I salute them.

We were called names because of Buhari. But today, one of the biggest projects executed in Nigeria by government is that bridge. We, who support Buhari deserve accolades. Between us and those who support IPOB that imposed sit at home and múrder our people, it's obvious who loves the land.

May God bless Buhari and his team. The promise keepers. This is marvelous.
