I got this Everstart 75A battery for my car as recommended by majority at mid 2020, very sure it’s genuine as It’s been 1.5yrs since then

Just today I wanted to head out and the car wouldn’t ignite or even roll the fans, all lights on the dash were dim. Had to unlock the car manually as it didn’t respond to the key imobilizer. The battery was flat worn.

- Is 1&half year a good life span for a car battery?
- I did notice traces of dried up liquid on the top of the battery. A production flaw? As another nairalander has experienced this

I need where to get genuine Everstart or it’s equivalent. Your suggestions will be appreciated

Problem encountered:

Despite changing my fuel pump recently, I experience difficult starting, I need to turn the ignition twice or thrice before it starts most times.

Get your kazeem (local mechanic) and do a test

Jack up the front end of the car and ask your mechanic to start the car, use a small plank to hit the starter repeatedly as he starts the car.
If the car starts immediately then the starter is going bad thus replace the starter

My Honda Accord DC 2007 vibrates especially while on drive and the brake is pressed.

If I change the gear to neutral, the vibration stops.

If I remove my leg from the break and the vehicle moves freely, there is no vibration. Everything becomes normal.

Someone should please help profer solutions to this...

I’ve sold my Honda Accord yesterday after just 2 months. I won’t wish my worse enemy to get an Honda. My experience was terrible. The car almost wrecked, what am I saying, the car WRECKED me. Spent all my savings fixing and fixing with no solution.

I will be picking up my Corolla today. Even if they dash you Honda, reject it. This was traumatic.

Bad maintained car + bad mechanic is a lethal combo

Bad mechanic + bad car + uninformed/naive owner is a one way ticket to hell

If you don't mind seeing 8mpg in lagos traffic and 18mpg on the highway while driving responsibly, go for it.

However I recently achieved 20.5mpg driving like a grandpa with revs kept below 2k rpm and speeds below 120km/hr.

And
I do rev close to 4k rpm on take offs and close to 6k rpm when I’m on race mode.

Buying tokunbo engine or transmission is really 50/50. Coz u don't know the authenticity of the engine. And most times they are Naija used sold as tokunbo. Unless u see them offloading from the container .....

That been said if you can get a good vearcruz with 100k miles or 160k depending on the year . Than you are good . just make sure you follow owner manual.

My advice ... When searching for a car .. Stay away from lemon ones.

All had over 100k miles. Clean title ... So maybe u were reading lemon reviews. Lolz

I don't know where u get ur reviews from . Have shipped about 5 vearcruz so far . They are harder and harder to find.

The ones have sold are around 160k miles. No issues at all. They are good cars, if buying anyone plz make sure u buy Tokunbo . And follow owners manual at all times.......

It shares platform with Hyundai Santa fe and am sure their parts would be interchangeable. It is related to Optima, grandeur and some other hyundai products.

It comes with a 3.8L V6 I believe only the Genesis I know carried that engine not too sure Optima had only 3.3 or 3.5 but the lambda engines are solid are okay. 260hp is good enough.

It's not popular around but the Santa fe is so parts to a degree shouldn't be a problem also any Hyundai mechanic should be able to fix it.

As much information as I have come to, The reviews on the engine was that every 60k miles or so, the valve head gasket do leak oil on the alternator and kills it which stalls the vehicle

So when the oil drip starts, the head gasket, alternator needs changing. Can this be done
