Most of the male Generals actually have verifiable multiple combat experience, whatever else may be said about them...

Even Obasanjo's son who normally should be shielded due to his father's high profile, has multiple combat experience before attaining rank of Brigadier General

Even our current NYSC DG Olakunle Nafiu, with his innocent face, is an Artillery Officer who has multiple combat experience both in Maiduguri and UN peace keeping.

NB..This isn't to rage-bait anyone...It's just a genuine quest for understanding what has always been a grey area for me

Please how do female Army Officers, who to the best of my knowledge, hardly get involved in combat operations, get promoted even up to General rank?

I mean we are inundated practically every week with news of gallant male officers dying for the country in droves...but I am yet to hear of any female officer in such circumstances, or even holding any active theatre command position..

I hardly hear or any female being a commanding officer in any active conflict zone. Yet somehow, we have female Generals (even Major Generals), even though Nigeria has never had a female GOC (to the best of my knowledge )


Please, I beg for some clarification on this from those who are knowledgeable in this matter, with preferably real life examples of women who like their male counterparts, have had their fair share of combat duty and theatre command before rising to top of Army Brass
