WebmastersRe: Blogging Is Frustrating My Life, Advice Needed. by semasir: 11:35pm On Oct 09, 2019
Looks hilarious but just one of those things.

I've been on this space designing websites for people who cash out from adsense almost every month but I once was passionate blogging via the LASU Forum link on my signature and when twas finally approved, my adsense was banned for invalid clicks and I'll tell you that that forum alone in 2016/2017 was a force that Nairaland even disable or ban me sharing the link here...

If you blog for adsense, you will end up disappointed.

Start making your writings fun and worth coming back to check you out.

I just started www.onews.com.ng juat for fun and despite being lazy about it, I see I can earn via it.

The secret to blogging is that you can share stories that will get people's attention and subsequently earn from it, if you are creative enough, find PR firms that share news and publish for them and you'll get token as time goes on so far you are serious.

Blogginh just for the money won't make you excel.

Have you seen the LASU Forum design on my signature? It's available for you if interested. Thanks

babzo:
My guy needs a forum website like NL that can do the following:

1) Allow various topics to be placed on the FP
2) Allow list of topics on FP to be changed anytime
3) Allow members to like, dislike, share posts/comments
4) Possibly allow the Forum to be placed on the right side of an existing website

There are many websites on the Internet that offer Forums, but havnt found any that offer services where your Front Page can list topics. All the forums they seem to offer have FP that cant be changed, what you have is just liat of sub boards.

If you can do this especially if you have jobs you have previously done, please message me through nairaland.

PoliticsBuhari’s Third Term Bid: Presidency Debunks Rumors by semasir(op): 12:22am On Oct 02, 2019
The Presidency has denied that the president is seeking to amend the constitution which will allow President Buhari run for a third term in office.

In a series of tweet by the spokesperson for the president, Garba Shenu, he shared as follows:

https://twitter.com/GarShehu/status/1179135722315345920?s=19

"The Presidency wishes to correct internet-based gossip and un-informed media commentary regarding presidential term limits, given credence by so-called support groups, staging street demonstrations asking President @MBuhari to do a third term."

"There are no circumstances – nor set of circumstances – under which President Buhari may seek to amend the Constitution regarding the two-term term limit on holding office as President."

"President Buhari intends to serve his full second elected term in office, ending 2023 – and then there shall be a general election in which he will not be a candidate."

"There is not even the faintest possibility that this will change."

"It is important to note that there was a past attempt to change the Constitution to allow for the-then incumbent president to stand for a third term. That attempt was wrong, unconstitutional - and rightly rebuffed."

"No such attempt will happen under this President."

"President Buhari is a democrat. He respects the Constitution. Any activity aimed at altering the two-term limit will not succeed and shall never have his time nor support." Shehu explained.

CrimeTwitter User Narrates How SAS Arrested Him And Demanded ₦1million Ransom by semasir(op): 10:53pm On Sep 28, 2019
A twitter user Toni Astro recalled how the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SAS, arrested him and estorted money from him after initially demanding ₦1 million from him noting that he is a software developer.

Toni narrated that he boarded one of bike hailing service from Abiola gardens to Ketu (a journey less than 20 - 30 minutes) for him to get a BRT from there back home.

His ordeals are shared below:

"About getting to Ketu, two men in police like uniform stopped the bike, and told me to get down. I immediately did with the mindset that the bike guy did something wrong."

"They asked for my phone and I unlocked it and gave them. They told the bike guy to end the trip and go. So they gave me my phone to pay the guy from the mobile app. After 20 seconds they said I’m going with them to the station.

And I was like what station?"

"Next thing they pointed guns at my leg, telling me to enter another bike they stopped and go with them to their station. I entered and one of the men asked for a million naira and he’d let me go."

"And I’m like 1 million?? Where would I get that from. I told him I’m no what you think. I’m a software developer at this company. He said everything na yahoo yahoo still. He physically harassed me on the bike still. To every onlooker on the street, I was a criminal or some sort."

"We got to the station, if I remember well ogudu area H command. We walked in to the extreme back of the station. More like some messed up rooms or something."

"They collected my bike which contained my laptop, watch charger, phone chargers and office jotters. As soon as they saw the laptop, the other policemen there said you’re the one spoiling the economy. They told me to open it and immediately I did."

"About 4 other policemen were there, making a total of 6. Next thing was slaps and punch, here and there. All I could hear was confess you’re and internet frauster or not? I kept saying I’m not a fraudster, im a developer for a company and all."

"These guys took off my hoodie, and dragged me to the cell, locked me up with no proof or evidence that I was what they claimed me to be. I asked that I make calls, and they said that would be after I write my statement. One of them came to me and asked that I pay 500k."

"And I’m like 500k? From where? I said my student ID card is in my wallet, you could check it and see. They said they ain’t checking any ID Card. They went through my emails and WhatsApp conversations and found nothing."

"The beatings continued from about 4 police men, I requested that I called my relatives or anyone and they didn’t let me, One said I’d sleep in that cell till Monday except im ready to confess what I do for a living."

"So they went through my emails and saw my account balance, next thing was you’d go to the bank to withdraw every dime in this account now and pay us. Money I worked for ?? What did I do?"

"I already told them my dad was sick, and I was on my way home to help out . I told them 80% of the money was for dads treatment and the rest for my transport to work everyday. I explained the whole case to them. They said they don’t care about his health. I must pay them."

"So they started threatening me with guns, and one said we’d take you to kiri kiri tonight. Another said we’d call EFCC .Even after they found no evidence or trace of fraud? They went out to talk after 1 hour of threatening conversations and physical harassment."

"They requested I bring half of the money in my account for them, stating (man must chop). I just wanted to leave there, and I didn’t want it to be dark. It was about 5pm already. I then asked if I could just transfer instead of going to the bank to withdraw."

"And they said so you’d come back to trace us. The other ones started the beatings again. They told me to take a bike to a bank close to the station at ogudu, and get the money."

"I left, went straight to the station to get the money. It was late, I couldn’t tell anyone to lend me a phone when I looked all battered. I got to the ATM, I couldn’t even think straight to get the correct pin. I got the money and took the bike back to the station."

"As soon as I got back, they took me back to the cell and counted the money. Then they said you can check all your things if they’re complete. All that was in my head was remote job isn’t it. I have to leave this country at the end."

"I packed all my things, collected my watch and left the station at about 6pm. I’m home and safe now, but today still feels like a dream. I was physically harassed for no reason and paying someone or a group of people for no reason out of the money I worked for."

"I’ve been hearing people’s experiences and most of them complaining about not having an ID card. I had an ID card but they chose not to see it. All they wanted to hear was me accepting their accusation of what I wasn’t."

President Muhammadu Buhari has repeatedly flouted court orders and directives, making a mockery of his promise to uphold the rule of law.

Below are four (4) times court orders have been ignored:

Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife

Both have been in DSS custody since December 2015.

In 2016, Justice Kolawole ordered their release within 45 days and awarded them ₦24 million each as general damages.

Till date, however, they are still in detention.

Former NSA, Sambo Dasuki

He is facing multiple charges on illegal firearms possession and $2.1bn arms scandal.

He has been granted bail by several court orders, yet he is still in detention.

SERAP Nigeria

A nonprofit advocacy organisation that  is devoted to promoting transparency, accountability and socio-economic rights in Nigeria.

The group led a lawsuit against the FG for its failure to respond to their FOI request for names of looters and monies recovered in 2016.

In 2017, Justice Hadizat ordered the FG to make the names public. 2 years after, this court order is yet to be obeyed.

Omoyele Sowore

He was granted bail on the condition that he deposits his international passport within the court premises within 48 hours.

3 days after the judgment and meeting the bail conditions, he is still being held in DSS custody.

CrimeOgwashi Uku Prison Accused Of Negligence leading to Death of Inmates by semasir(op): 12:09pm On Sep 27, 2019
Prison Authorities in Ogwashi Uku Prison, Delta State are being accused of negligence which has led to the death of almost 10,000 inmates since 2013 as explained by Ada Mazi.

One Smart Ohuzu, a prisoner awaiting trial, was reported to have died on 25th September owing to the fact that the officers ignored pleas from other inmates to take Smart to the hospital.

The young man was remanded in Prison by a Delta State Magistrate Court and two months while in custody, he has been sick.

In the morning, Smart Ohuzu collapsed and Prison Authorities called on the cell leader to gather ₦5000 from cell mates so they can transport him to Ogwashi Uku General hospital.

The poor prisoners contributed money and some even contributed ₦10 while others contributed ₦50 and they were able to raise a total of ₦3,500 eventually and now left with an outstanding ₦1,500 which then got the prison officers angry and refused to take Smart Ohuzu to hospital.

Inmates who saw Smart Ohuzu on the floor struggling, rush back to the cell and one inmate was said to have given out the ₦1,500 to enable officers take Smart Ohuzu to the Hospital and was later rushed to Ogwashi Uku General hospital after they have collected the money contributed.

Upon getting to the hospital, the doctors treated him and referred them to Federal Medical Center or Okwe General Hospital and complained that they will stop accepting inmates from Ogwashi Uku Prison as they are always bringing inmates for treatment at the point of death.

The officers, instead of taking Smart Ohuzu to the hospital the doctor referred them, with chains on his leg they led him into the Green Maria (Black Maria) and took him back to the prison yard complaining of man-power.

Smart Ohuzu was then chained and left in the cold, struggled and died with tears in his eyes, three hours after he was forcefully brought back into the prison yard.

The inmates could not complain because if they do, they either change their cell or punish them.

A group of Young Nigerians which is made up of ex-Awaiting Trial Prisoners, Behind Bars Intervention, are now demanding that health centers be built in all the prison especially Ogwashi Uku Prison, Delta State and that Minister of Interior and/or the Controller General of Prisons to write/sign and put up a sign post in each prison in Nigeria stating "VISIT IS FREE" just the way they have "Bail Is Free In Police stations and Court amongst other demands.

They however recommended that the top prison officers who uses this prison to enrich themselves and put innocent prisoners to death be sacked and the Minister of Interior/Controller General partner with other stakeholders to decongest the prison, declare Health Emergency in all the Prisons now or Shut down Ogwashi Uku Prison.

If nothing is done, the group has promised to lawfully gather 4,250 families of those in Delta Prison for a Nationwide Peaceful protest and if the allegations are considered false, the mouthpiece for the group, Prince Gwamnishu Harrison asked to be taken to the court.
