PunkyOh:oh okay. I used to be a member of this site then I deactivated for a while and recently came back. I have interacted with him before I guess that's how he knows me. |
You guys are going way off topic here now as this thread should be closed. @ Punky am a Zulu girl as can be seen by my username ![]() Secondly not all South African girls who date Nigerian men are prostitutes. Let's stop saying silly stuff. Class attracts class. I know some very educated and beautiful South African women who are dating/married to educated Nigerian men(Doctors etc) and not drug dealers/pushers. Now stop fighting and arguing. If some Nigerians don't like South Africans fine just like there are some South Africans that dint like Nigerians. If you people want to fight please create a thread for that and fight elsewhere. I did not create this thread for that. I just wanted to find out why and like Ksslib pointed out its not every Nigerian that's says that so ya at the end of the day if feeling that all foreign women love you makes you sleep better than be my guest |
^ Thank you. You have said it all. It's cos most time I always hear about how much these so called women love them as if it's a one way thing cos most of the times its the men that does the chasing so why is it only the women that love them. |
unapologetic:lol seriously ![]() |
This thread was not meant to be a bashing thread but to just understand where the perception comes from. I had been seeing comments for a long time but it was because of this topic https://www.nairaland.com/1822920/why-south-african-women-crazy that kind of prompted me to create this thread. Just because a few women date you men does not translate to a whole population. Sometimes a man's personality and character can make a lady go for him irrespective of his nationality. |
Vickybee:lol I have noticed the same thing. That's what makes it even more ironic |
Cutehector:so a couple of white girls mean all white girls love you? A couple does not present the majority or the whole population. It simply means that those couple of girls liked you |
Basildvalour:lol so there are no other attractive strong hot and muscular men out there who are good in bed? Angolan men for example have all these qualities and more and you don't hear them going round saying/believing that all foreign women love them? Is that not cocky? Secondly not every Nigerian man fits that stereotype |
I have been wondering about this because I see certain topics like South African girls are crazy about us or Kenya girls love nigerian guys, Ghana girls and Nigerian guys. The common denominator is that all these women love the men. I guess it's all these same women who asks the men out, wine and dines them and if marriage happens these are the same women who propose and marry the man . I just don't get it. Also just because you find some South African girl dating a Nigerian does not translate to all South African girl for example because those that date out are in the minority. I have heard a couple of Nigerian guys saying they love curvy women (ass, boobs etc) so does it now mean that all curvy women love Nigerian guys? This is not meant to be a bashing thread but I would like to know where all this started. Foreign women too are welcomed for their opinions because at the end of the day, I can only speak for SA ladies |
Feraz:just Yeah. These people say so because they are provoked. I was once reading a thread about damilola and Chris. The Ghanaians were saying nice stuff but the Nigerians were saying bad stuff that he is too black. The marriage won't last etc and then that crazy guy started with his insults. |
all4naija:The amusing part of this all is all the countries you love to hate and insult you will find Nigerians in abundance. Why is the giant of Africa in these rubbish countries as you put it? |
all4naija:I will be honest. When I first came on this site. It was not to be little Nigerians but to learn more about then because some of us actually like you people. But the constant insulting and crap you people say about other countries makes it hard for them. If one is not careful coming on this site can rather make you hate Nigerians. That's why I just stay away mostly from threads about South Africa because I know how it will be like. |
Lala247:But the op never said anything bad. He asked a simple question. He never insulted Nigerians. If a question was put to South Africans that why is there a lot of xenophobia I will not insult the op and say they are jealous because I know that xenophobia happens in my country. Sometimes one needs to face the truth even if it's uncomfortable or we don't like it |
Feraz:I agree that they don't always start it but 8/10 times you guys do. I can even forward you all the threads as examples |
Ilekeh:I agree with your earlier post. It is because of Yorubas that salvage the bad reputation of Nigerians. I used to be under the impression that all Nigerians were 419 and drug traffickers because unfortunately that's what the majority are doing in South Africa till I met some Yoruba people and they were so different from the other Nigerians. That's when I found out about the differences between Yoruba, Igbo etc and not to judge a whole population based on the ones doing bad. I won't lie another misconception I had( and many south Africans have to be honest) was that Nigerian women were ugly cos have never seen an attractive one In South Africa until I got to Nairaland and saw the beauty threads which open my mind up. But yet with all this I never went around insulting or belittling Nigerians because I know that South Africa is not perfect. |
Lol by the comments you can just see what the op meant. He asked a mere simple question. Why do Nigerians look down on other Africans and put them down. There is nothing wrong if you feel that you are better, but there is no need for insults and name calling. Then Nigerians will complain that other Africans don't like them or are ' Jealous of them' as the popular saying goes. There is really no need referring to countries like Hiv South Africa, small Kenya, Charcoal Ghana. It's really rude and distasteful yet if these same countries had to call you people 419, juju people etc etc ya'll are the first to complain. That's just what the op was trying to say and I can guarantee you that every African country will agree with the op. Sometimes if many people complain about the same things then it's time to look inwards because everyone cannot be wrong or jealous. |
Onila are you a yahoo girl? I just don't understand where you get the time. Do you not study? Do you not work? Do you not sleep? How are you online 24/7 |
EggovinMma: exactly my dear. If you like it then you should put a ring on it. What's worse is those ladies who act like full time wife's at the boyfriends place. Washing, cooking, having sex etc etc everyday at his place. I mean why on earth will he go out of his way to marry you when he can easily enjoy it for free. You will never find me at my boyfriends place doing his laundry everyday. Am I his mother? Am I his wife? I like cooking so I don't mind doing that occasionally but if a guy is expecting me to do that every day after I come back from work to still cook for him. Madness I tell you. If you want a wife then get a wife. A girlfriend is not a wife. When I become a wife then I will act like a wife. If he can't handle that then good riddance to bad rubbish. Women don't know how much power they actually have. It's because we take a lot of nonsense that's why men behave the way they do. If we all decide not to take nonsense then the men will have no choice but to man up and stop their rubbish. |
EggovinMma:I agree 100% with this statement. This is actually the difference between men and women. Men don't put all their eggs in one basket and hence you will find cases like this where the guy dates a lady for 10 years but the following month marries another. Women need to be like this too. Unless the man has put a ring on it, then you are not his wife so stop acting like one. Trust me when a man wants to marry you from day1 you will know and actions speaks louder than words. He won't wait too long before he wifes you up. Until then don't close yourself off to all men completely. Am not saying that the lady should cheat but one must not be totally blind and keep your options open. For me My limit max is 2-3 years. That's If I really see a future there. The man was cruel but I blame the lady. How can you date someone for 11 years. He is not the only man in the world. Seriously nobody should be that desperate. |
This is really sad |
Are Edo men that bad ![]() |
KingGenius:These are the same people who say that South Africans are xenophobic yet they are what they accuse us off smdh. |
Baghana BaghanaSouth Africans are behind our West African Brothers here. #Teamblackstars |
Lol the haters have arrived. Anyways its a Sunday. Not in mood for quarrels. Op I agree with what volvo said. I can never be with someone I don't trust 100%. I think there is a bigger problem then just what he said to you. Maybe you should consider calling it quits. That way you will have peace of mind. My 2 cents. |
When it comes to Witchcraft etc one can never take enough precaution. There was a South African lady who went to Nigeria and never came back. Rumours were that she was eaten. Anyways best thing would be to talk to your boyfriend about it. Maybe he does not know about the effect it had on you. Also don't go to Nigeria just incase |
all4naija:lol you are so crazy. What does it mean? Please enlighten me |
all4naija:You do know that you are sounding like a hypocrite? First line 'how many have you come across and then you say 'South African men. How many South African men have you come across? |
You know. Ghanaians and Nigerians are very similar and I think that's where the clash comes from and that's why ya'll don't get along. When two people are alike there is bound to be clashes. #just my 2cents |
Its good to see others appreciate our music. You should listen to SA house music |
It's funny how you say a lot of crap yet you failed to even qualify ![]() We all know Bafana is no Brazil, but they are improving albeit slowly |
