Air Traffic Services and Air Traffic Controller
Air traffic control (ATC) is a service provided by
ground-based controllers who direct aircraft on the
ground and through controlled airspace and can
provide advisory services to aircraft in non-
controlled airspace. The primary purpose of ATC
worldwide is to prevent collisions, organize and
expedite the flow of air traffic, and provide
information and other support for pilots
To prevent collisions, ATC enforces traffic separation
rules, which ensure each aircraft maintains a
minimum amount of empty space around it at all
times.
Earl Ward and Glen Gilbert are the fathers of ATC.Earl
Ward may be credited with the creation of the first
control center, while Glen Gilbert with the design of
the traffic separation rules.
Term ATC was officially adopted by British Air
Ministry in the year 1939
In the year 1950 ICAO adopted standard and
recommended practices related to Air Traffic
services .Several Annexes with changes were
introduced to enhance procedures with safety in
mind.
Air Traffic Controllers; Manage the safe and orderly
flow of aircraft into, out of and between airports. In
controlled, monitored airspace they remain in radio
communication with pilots to ensure aircraft are kept
separated and also abide by their pre-arranged
routes and altitudes.
In addition they assist pilots with information and
guidance during an emergency. In order to become a
Air Traffic Controller specialized training courses are
develepoled, once the training is completed they
become part of a community of highly trained
professionals...Some of the core skills are, firm
decision making, able to remain focused and calm
under pressure, good visual and short term memory.
Good mathematical skills and excellent
communication is an essential ingredient for this
challenging role. Controllers work on position for
about 90 to 120 minutes, followed by a 30 minutes
break. Working hours based on shift patterns to
cover 24 hours are regulated to avoid stress and
work fatigue.
To fly safely pilots need active support of air traffic
controllers, who are also essential to the efficiency of
airports and the airline industry.
IN Nigeria, u have to be a science student and must be employed under NAMA{or sponsored by state govt, or a ministry under aviation} before u can be sent for Training at Nigeria college of Aviation technology zaria for averagely a year programme in Standard Air Traffic Control course. Remember, you lost the entire keys to the Honda Civic and i had to remove the ignition from the car and return the following day as the distance from your house to my location is far. Sir, please i suggest that you look for a favorable time to come down to my location in Gbagada so that i can have long awaiting second key programmed. I am ready to complete this job for you sir. I am not avoiding you at all. Despite my tight schedule, I will make out chance. cos most times, i travel out of lagos to meet my clients. Most likely that engine would come down there to have that job properly done. The seal is right inside the belly housing black case. Good luck on your fix

based on what i see on the picture, l see a starter meaning that the leak is coming from the bell housing aka where the engines meets gearbox

Have you noticed that the sound of the Engine slightly changes when you put on the AC? It shows that there is an extra weight.. But, on the highly, it doesn't really have much effect on fuel consumption as it does in Lagos Traffic.

bros this analysis is for an old car jare or a car that the ac was forged n they bypass the ECU. in my car u won't even notice the ac is on coz the rpm remains constant. this is so because immediately the ac is on the ECU detects n injects more fuel into the combustion chamber to maintain a steady rpm automatically. no need to depress the accelerator pedal.

as for the main question op asked, it has a very little or meagre difference in the fuel consumption. if u travel with a lot of load without ac for 2hrs is same thing with travelling with ac ON for 2hrs without load. so why suffer urself in naija heat

u will never get original rings in Nigeria. those mechanics will lie to u that it's original. if u ring it u will still come back after 6 months with a smoking engine. That's if your engine still have COMPRESSION
