Kano state LGA funds should be withheld by the FG since APC is also cooking a similar scenario in Kano State |
Wike will be redeployed to the Federal ministry of Works while Dave Umahi will be moved to the Federal ministry of Labour. One Fashola will be made the FCT Minister. Note you heard it from us first....!!! |
kedeojo:You obviously don't stay anywhere close to Rivers State. Come to the street of Rivers and sing Wike's praises and see if you ever leave in one piece. |
In other words if Tinubu dare fires Wike, he will make the country ungovernable for Tinubu |
ceejay10:Let's wait and see...!!! |
It has become increasingly evident that Chief Barr. E.N. Wike, the FCT Minister, may have fallen into a political trap that has now provided @PBATinubu with sufficient grounds to consider his immediate sack or redeployment as the current FCT Minister during Mr. President's much-expected FEC reshuffle. The age-old quote attributed to Lord Acton, a British historian and moralist which states that "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" serves as a fitting description of Wike's character and actions. Wike’s attempts to manipulate both the judiciary and security agencies, including the NPF, have only served to validate his critics and political rivals. Such actions undermine the principles of democracy and the rule of law, casting a shadow over his legacy. This blatant disregard for democratic processes reveals a desire to consolidate power at the expense of the people he is meant to serve. In light of these developments, we urge @PBATinubu to take the necessary steps to address this situation by immediately relieving the FCT Minister of his position as FCT Minister or redeploy him from his current role. It is crucial that we hold our leaders accountable to ensure that those in positions of authority act in the best interest of the public and uphold the tenets of democracy.

Ynix:Stop misinforming. Google the Nigerian Army flag and compare with that of Russia The Nigerian Army or Military flag has a green strip at the bottom. That's a Russian Flag |
vanitybutiwanti:So INEC is now a ministry under the FG abi? SANs do loss cases in Court, no be today...!! Look, my brother let's not indulge in arguments, time will eventually tell. |
chrisxxx:Una go explain tire my brother...!!! Keep day dreaming and leaving in the past. There's nothing going on between Fubara and Wike that's new in Nigerian politics. |
maasoap:Yes, they're beating the drum for you to keep dancing over nothing. |
As usual, Wike boys are known for masturbating and celebrating over nothing...!!! There's nothing in this experte motion. INEC conducted general elections in Rivers and in almost all states in the country in 2023. One year after, you are claiming INEC does not have updated register of voters in Rivers. Are you Ok? Delta State and some few other state that just conducted their State's LG elections, please tell me, which register did they use? Some few other states are planning theirs, who will provide the voters register for these state? The FHC will only require INEC to answer one simple question and the case will be thrown out into the trash CAN that it belongs. LGA Elections will hold in Rivers like every other state...!!! Period |
vanitybutiwanti:I mean the extention. Were they to continue in office as elected chairmen or as CTC chairmen? |
vanitybutiwanti:Zamfara enacted extension of tenure for them to continue in office as what? Elected or CTC |
vanitybutiwanti:So what law is there now? Extension of tenure right? Tenure extension is even more illegal than CTC so for now we head for the council polls |
Following today's Supreme Court ruling on Local Government financial autonomy, it simply do not translate in any way to mean nullification of already existing ad hoc LGA arrangement (CTC) rather it now behoves on those affected states to expedite the process of conducting local government elections. The directive from the Supreme Court to the FG to withhold funds from states operating Caretaker Committee (CTC) chairmen underscores the recognition by the Supreme Court of the presence of CTC arrangements in certain states. Moreover, as the leadership of various Local government currently using the CTC arrangement cannot afford to exist in vacuum, it becomes imperative for stakeholders of those affected states to ensure the smooth conduct of the Council elections moving forward |
Somewhere in Ikwerre and Obio Akpor LGA, some Wike boys are currently celebrating today's Appeal Court ruling on LGA tenure elongation because of what their oga told them. See ignorance on rampage. Their Oga boasted about securing victory at today's appeal court and that once they hear the news of the ruling, they should start dancing. Now they're dancing without knowing the content of the ruling. |
slivertongue:What stupid trap? A statement has been made to Wike. Period |
Seefinish:Yesterday's protest was a statement to Wike and his team that its not going to be business as usual even during Congress. |
