*Beneficiaries of the federal government N Power scheme yesterday 3rd March 2018 started an online campaign calling for the federal government to make them permanent government workers. Here is an excerpt from their official statement.* N Power volunteers call for permanency. Here's what we have to say. We the beneficiaries of the Federal Government Social Investment Program under the umbrella of N Power use this medium to appreciate the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration for establishing this transparent program to address unemployment in the country, but we still call on this kind government to turn empowerment into employment for us as we have undoubtedly contributed immensely to the development of this country through our individual communities in health, agro, teach, tech etc. We call on all stakeholders concerned (human right activists, governmental and non governmental organizations, National dailies, blogs, etc) to intervene on our behalf and help reach out to the concerned authorities. We also call on the National Assemblies to review our situation with the aim of making us permanent government workers. We have impacted our communities even with the little stipend we are being given, please don't send us back into the streets as job seekers. (Help us pass the message across to the authorities. We promise to be peaceful in the process.) God bless President Muhammadu Buhari God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria #MakeNpowerPermanent #RetainNPowerVolunteers |

Okorocha, that is your own view. Buhari's administration is touching lives of a commoner in the nation. The bitter truth is that, no matter how one try, one cannot please everyone at the same. Keep your personal view to yourself. I believe in the federal government I believe in his transparency and accountability I believe in his efficient allocation of scares resources I believed that with time, there will b enough food for a common man to eat not imported but locally manufactured Pray for the government to succeed..... |
Am tired of this same people clamouring for power. Since in my nursery school days, it always been Atiku, Obasanjo, and the rest now I am a graduate working under npower, still the same old folks. When will they give way for the so called future leaders? When shall there b a breath of fresh air? Yes buhari, is gradually fulling is campaign promises. Everything is gradually falling in place. Buhari has good intentions for this country. No record of any president sacking his Secretary General as a result of corruption. But some peoples mind are blinded because they thing he is God to transform Nigeria in a twinkle of an eye. There is no aspect of Buhari promises that he has not touch.. Naira is gradually gaining over dollars |
Even in my dream, Buhari - YES, Akiku - NO |
God Bless our dear President and Vice President for helping us, jobless graduate, with the Npower program. Please Mr. President, let it be in your plans to absorb us permanently. It will go a long way to reduce unemployment and youth restiveness occasion by lack of jobs. God bless Buhari God bless Osinbajo God bless APC God bless Nigeria |

Naira Land should re-shovel nairalanders that comments on first page. Is obvious that most of them are anti-government. Always in a haste to condemn whether good or bad. Such people are not wishing this Nation well. Their Critizism are not constructive but destructive. I believe every citizen should always pray for our leaders to led us well. |

sunnewsonline.com Oct 22, 2017 1:00 PM From: Obinna Odogwu, Abakaliki Volunteers of the Federal Government’s N-power programme in Ebonyi State, at the weekend, appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to absorb them into the federal civil service. They reasoned that having worked for a long time as volunteers, it would be kind of the federal government to offer them permanent employment before ending the programme. They made the appeal at the Abakaliki Local Government Headquarters, Nkaliki during a sensitisation meeting organised by the state N-power Ambassador, Nworie Valentine Chibuzo, for the volunteers in the state. The N-power Volunteers Scheme is one of the Federal Government’s Social Investment Programmes which began in December 2016. It is billed to last for two years according to government. But volunteers in Ebonyi State are of the view that if the 200,000 youths that were absorbed by the programmes were pushed back to the society after two years, the country cannot claim to be making progress. Addressing the volunteers, Amb. Nwori thanked President Buhari for initiating and implementing the programme. He said that there had never been any empowerment or employment process in the history of Nigeria as transparent, direct and merit-oriented as witnessed during the selection of N-power beneficiaries across the country. He advised government at all levels to adopt N-power method of recruitment in their future empowerment and employment exercises. He said within the 10 months of the programme, it has impacted on lives, reduced poverty, improved livelihood and human capital development of the citizenry. “The economy of the country is recuperating and stabilizing because over 200,000 unemployed graduates can now boast of N30,000 per month to carter for their basic needs. “So far, the federal government has been faithful with her financial obligation and in her sincere determination to improve the skills of the volunteers and make the work easier for them, has started distributing a costly and a well packaged device, free-of-charge to N-power volunteers across the country” he added. He called on the Volunteers to be dedicated to the programme as a way of showing appreciation of the rare gesture of President Buhari’s led Federal Government. On the ‘convert N-power to permanent job’ campaign, he explained that the Forum of N-power Ambassadors was already doing a lot to draw federal government’s attention into having sincere consideration of absorbing the beneficiaries into civil service. |
There is a different between drinking alcohol and getting drunk.. .is not sin to drink alcohol but it is a sin to drink to stupor or be drunk.....the Bible as not in any way stated that drinking win is a sin but being drunk is a sin |
