There absolute intelligence failure in our security agencies. DSS staff are routinely assigned to politicians which shouldn't be so. Yes, there are certain classes of people that will be protected all year round when they attain some posts like the presidency, governorship and stuff but the security details are reduced to the barest minimum in the US and other countries when these people have served out their terms.
But around here , you see like 10 or more DSS officials following ex governors and politicians without adding the retinue of mobile policemen .
These days , it is a show of class even within the super rich to see how many DSS guys instead of regular mopols that you have on your security detail.

As if the Nigerian Mobile police will follow the order. People that should preventing crimes and securing lives and properties are all over the place carrying hand bags for VIPs.
They get paid for escort work while still collecting Thier monthly salaries that they share with their bosses at the office. It is call special duty. I've met officers who have been on special duty since 2011, never for once doing the work for which he drawing his salaries as Government staff.
