One of the town igboro bus driver was giving SMS because a lady allegedly lost her phone in his bus and they(SUG) concluded that the guy must have stole the phone after searching endlessly for it.
As it is now,I pity students staying in town cos the town igboro people no dey smile at all and the latest news this morning was that the guy don pai!(Rumour ooo)

Convocation won't be delayed...it was the reason management were proactive for students not to disrupt the ceremony and Ooni's coronation stated for next week.

I thought as much, though i think there are better ways to settle their differences.

1. Naturally your skul does everything including sending your details to Nysc before your eventual ability to register online as scheduled on the TT that is yet to be released.
However, we advise you to visit your skul now in relation to the mobilization so as to keep abreast of how things are done and having the opportunity of being short listed since most skuls usually have higher number of PCMs than the skul's Nysc quota.
2.Only Nysc allocates call-up numbers and that would come into effect within the scheduled period as shall be indicated on the official TT, to be reflected on the call-up letters as shall be printed within the specified period by only those who would pay the #3045 while those who would not pay shall get theirs from their skuls even before the online printing Date that would be specified on TT
3.You cannot pick more than one state from each region except if they are the NORTH EASTERN STATES OF BORNO, ADAMAWA, BAUCHI, YOBE, TARABA, AND GOMBE THAT ARE PRONE TO SECURITY THREAT AND THUS WOULD NATURALLY EXPERIENCED LOWER PATRONAGE DURING ONLINE REGISTRATION JUST AS InvisibleGirl experienced last term during B15

Its stated there. I dnt knw if it's optional unlike before when u can get it (year book) at skul bookshop at d rate of 1k even if u didn't attend d convocation.

Believe me i think management wanna make money on us (graduands) all in the name of convocation dues.
#11.5k is way too much compared to #6.5k charges of last year.

INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS
(A) All convocants are to collect their academic robes, Order of Proceedings and Guest Cards from their College / Faculty Secretaries between 8.00 a.m and 4.00 p m a day preceding the award of degrees in their disciplines on the presentation of receipts showing payment and submission of a photocopy of same as indicated below:
(i) First Degrees and Diplomas
All graduands are required to pay convocation charges of #6,500.00 inclusive of the OAU Alumni Advancement levy of #1,500.00
(ii) Higher Degrees
All graduands are required to pay convocation charges of #8,500.00 inclusive of the OAU Alumni /Advancement levy of #1,500.00.

(B) Graduands should assemble at the Car Park of the sport complex on their graduation day not later than 8.30 a.m .They must be fully robed and seated in the places allocated to them at the convocation venue by 9.15 a.m .NOBODY INCLUDING GRADUANDS AND THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS,WILL BE ADMITTED INTO THE HALL,AFTER 9.30 A.M. EACH DAY.

(C) Academic robes must be returned the same day of the convocation. Failure to return the gowns on the prescribed date and time shall attract a fine of #2,000.00 per day.

(D) Commercial photographers/Video Operators will be charged #500.00 for theperiod .All those interested in functioning as Photographers/Video Operators are required to make payment to the Cash Office in the Bursary Department of the University between 9.00 a.m and 3.00p.m from Monday,1st December,2014 and the receipts should be presented to the Public Relations Officer who will issue certificate of accreditation to Operators.

(E) All Cars, Buses and Motorcycles coming to the campus will pay #500.00 each per day during the period of Convocation.

Graduands are not allowed to leave the convocation venue before the end of the ceremony each day.
Graduands are strongly advised to comply with these arrangements.
Please note that whenever graduands are collecting their certificates, they will be required to show evidence of payment of the Convocation fees and also payment of a sum of #3,500.00 for OAU memorabilia and CD at their respective Faculties.
We congratulate all graduands and wish them journey mercies to and from Ile-Ife.

Simply put, skul management wanna make money from us at the expense of convocation charges..

Well, my opinion abh d present situation i.e space for PPA is dat, if nysc is serious abh returning to 3batches, d trend shldnt b an obstacle since shifting A16 to MAY wl only solve d problem of PPA nd so returning to 3batches wl seem imposible. Note dat if we go to camp in MAY, there can only b two batches nxt year. So i thnk dey wl jst try to push it tru nxt to avoid further accumulation nd inability to return to d normal 3batches. Cos as it were, if we wait for A15 to pass out, B16 wl also av to wait for B15 to pass, automatically cancelling batch C.

You made an obvious point here. Its left 4 NYSC crew to regulate the mobilizatn ish dis year or neva.

Though the issue of PPA can nt be over look, buh they should retrace their steps and fall bak on track.
