FamilyRe: Children Raised In Nigeria Are Better? by Sentra: 10:06pm On Oct 31, 2008
Children Raised In Nigeria Are Better?

What parameters are we going to us to compare them.We can't just conclude that one is better than the other. Are we going to judged by manners, cultural awareness, scholastic ability ,looks etc
These are some of the issues you will need to address .

Any conclusion arrived at without using specified /  universal parameters will be biased.

Remember however that children don't come with parenting manuals- they will turn out to be what parents and the society want them to be(socialization).[s]

The questions that then comes to mind is what kind of influence do you have on your child(ren). Is it positive or negative?Do you and you wife have a quickie in the house while yourchildren are just hearing distance away?Do you smoke in presence of your kids? What kind of area/society to do live in?Is your house next to a brothel, are area boys your neighboursetc

Le Moor:
The last thing you want to do is buy a car without test driving it (or having someone close to the seller check it out for you). And most especially you do not want to do that with an E60 (2004 and > bmw 5series). They are extremely complex machines, and one you wouldnt want to make a mistake purchasing,
He has said it all.Carfax report generated using the vin will not tell you everything. He in the states people get to buy lemon without knowing it.Watch out bro.

AutosRe: Should Vin Display Be Mandatory On Ads For Cars 8 Years Or Newer? by Sentra: 9:40pm On Sep 26, 2008
I will attempt to answer your question with a little illustration. As a matter of fact the event occurred 2 or 3 months ago somewhere in Texas.

A rich Playboy who intends to impress is already spoilt girlfriend  purchased a M class 2008  Mbenz from a dealership as a suprise gift. After all the paper work and formalities have been done, we hired a wrecker with a flat bed (tow truck) to freight the vehicle to his girls place so that the vehicle will remain at its  zero milage status. However, a few miles away from the dealership, the wrecker got into an auto accident itself. As a result the benz flipped over and sustained serious damages to the roof, wheels, fender and other unknow damages.

Vehicles like this ends up in insurance auction where there are sold at cheaper price and later fixed by buyers.More often than not these kind of vehicles find there way into the Nigerian auto market- a possible description, 2008 Mbenz  M class, leather seats, power windows, power steering ,navigation, 37 miles, almost new etc etc

Now how on earth can a potential buyer know the vehicle had been in an accident. Most people will say its not possible to have been in an accident its a 2008 and it just has 37 miles to its credit.Moreso, there are no traces of fresh paint or dents etc

Will a VIN check be of help here? Definitely yes. However, a word of caution not all accidents are reported to Department of Motor Vehicles which happen to be CARFAX main source. For example I was in an automobile accident on a freeway late in the night  about a year ago.I was a hit and run.The other guy panicked and ran away.So I thought to myself although I am not at fault but where the cops come they will need my insurance card which I don't have.I will end up getting a ticket and my vehicle toed to the salvage lot.So I took off.Fixed the car myself never reported it to anyone. In such a case, carfax will never know about this accident.

So back to you question, the answer is YES

PhonesRe: Etisalat - Nigeria's 5th GSM Operator by Sentra: 4:17pm On Sep 10, 2008
A word of caution here-judging from the cheap ass website floated by Etisalat or whatever they call themselves you can determine the quality of service they intend to give to Nigerians.Just tried to access a link on the site , specifically the reserve a # link and lo and behold I got this message:  The page cannot be displayed

NCC needs to step up and police the telecoms industry better. We should not allow people to come to our home and take us for a ride. Now every dic and harry want to go into Nigeria telecoms biz.

I am shocked that a company that says its world class willl even dare to flow a non functional website.Your website is like your mouthpiece. It says it all.

FamilyRe: Nagging Husband by Sentra: 5:27pm On Sep 08, 2008
@ fineapple

First of all I must remind you as you already know in a situation like this you   get a lot of advise but you have to be wise about the application of any you choose to apply.
Now back to the main issue, there are so many things yo did not mention in your post which would have make it easier to give a better opinion like (1) how long you have  been married(2) is both you and your spouse from the same tribe(3 how long has this been going on, was he like this from the very start?(4)how many kids do  you two have.

So my dear its when you are able to answer these questions that we would be able to do judgement to this issue. Will be looking out for your response.

Meanwhile just play dumb whenever he starts nagging. This is a temporary solution pending your response.

God be with you.

TravelRe: Missing (Maryland, USA) Driver's License found in Nigeria! by Sentra: 2:00pm On Aug 29, 2008
See if the info below will be of help.

What do I do if my license is lost?
A lost driver's license is not required to be reported to the MVA. To replace a lost driver's license you must obtain a duplicate license. You must bring proof identity along with the fee to the MVA. Please refer to sources of proof for the required documentation.

What do I do if my license is stolen?
If your driver's license or permit has been stolen, you should first contact your local police department and obtain a police report regarding the incident. A police report/incident report number is required to replace a stolen license. Once a police report is filed, it is important to promptly contact the MVA's Customer Ombudsman's office at 410-787-7856 or via email at msorenson@mdot.state.md.us.

PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by Sentra: 6:03pm On Aug 21, 2008
Straight up trash talk. Most of us who left the shores of Nigeria to seek greener pastures elsewhere did so out of figuration.A country where nothing works and corruption is the order of the day.Unemployment is at record levels and robbers having field day everyday.Business mortality is the natural outcome of those who dare to venture into biz.To me returning home of Nigerian in diaspora Will only put additional strain on the already dying economy.Until Fashola and co put all the necessary infrastructure in place for the country to move forward,I have one phrase for him count me out!
