Yes i believe the bible 1000%.

Besides the bible God has interacted with me. And the bible is very important because the Holy Spirit uses it when he talks to us.

Seems you are critizing the high priest.

And what did those kings do, they captured and enslaved, Abrahams cousin and they did so to to other people. It suggest to me, they were wicked, apart from that there is a spiritual significance to the liberation of the people. And God worked through Abraham and Abraham had to offer to God a tenth of what they got.

That King of Salem was likely the king of Jerusalem, just that then is was referred to salem.

That King of salem was not known to have a geneology or an origin, this signifies, Christ himself will come who has no origin, who comes from God and is eternal, with an indestructible nature. He confirms the second covenant, which is greater than the first. God confirmed the first convenant since there was none greater than God and Just like Christ confirms the second convenant, since he is God.

The bible did not say what happened to the King of salem. Personally i think that was Jesus, but i do not have proof, it is places like this were we fill the gap with faith, God has revealed enough but we need to allow his Spirit who knows all things to work with our faith.

Linus199:
One last question, there is a certain man referenced in Hebrews chapter 7, in fact this is it. For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
My question now is this, since you believe in the Bible without any doubt, where is this Melchisedec today, why is it that no Christian have come out to criticise this part of the Bible.
What do you have to say about this?.

Jesus Is God and can pray to God, because God in Christianity is three person but one God, He prayed to the father, because he assumed flesh and he was fully man though he is fully God.

The bible says he emptied himself of his glory and assumed the form of a lowly servant, because he had to die on the cross for our salvation.

Why did Jesus had to die, why couldn't God just use his almighty powers to save us, because God is Holy and his laws are perfect and man broke his laws, God had to fulfil his perfect laws for us, since no human was perfect, the arm of the lord or his eternal word, Jesus Christ has to empty himself of his glory assume the form of man and become fully flesh, yet, he is God. He fulfilled every righteousness and offered himself for our redemption. Therefore he is the eternal high Priest and King of Kings.

Why did Jesus pray that the cup pass him by, was because though he knew it was the will of God, yet he knew the great suffering that he had to undergoe for all humanity, it made him sweat blood and he was in great pain and he prayed as a man if it was possible for this suffering to pass him by But for our salvation there was no other hope than through the blood of his suffering and this is why through the Spirit of God Christ offered his blood as the prize for our redemption. Therefore God has paid the prize for humanity, therefore we are saved by accepting him and then we are born again by the Spirit which is now through the seed of faith In Christ Jesus.

Mary his mother is just a human vessel, that The spirit of God used for the birth of the eternal Son of God, Jesus is eternal just like the Father, he has no beginning. The Spirit of God now lives in us who believe and accept the sacrifice of the lord JEsus. The Spirit of God is not a human being, he is a Spirit and he is God. God wants to live in us and wants us to have his character. When we accept Jesus Christ then God comes to us and renews our nature, though we may sin, but God regenerates us, he works continually in us, until the promised redemption our blessed hope.

Some people think The spirit of God was Mary husband, that is human thinking and an error, just like God can come on a person and heal them, can create humans and give life so can the Spirit of God, create, make materials because he is a creator, so can he use the womb of Mary to build the flesh of Jesus Christ.

cheesy cheesy cheesy I know you will keep arguing until you are tired. I need food so tired after church.

Linus199:
But God inspired all of them right?, did Jesus ask his disciples to write about him?, why did he keep praying to God if he is God?, God is almighty that have absolute power, but needed to sacrifice his son to forgive our sins?, God sent down his son to die for our sins right, why was Jesus praying for the cup to pass him by, like they didn't have the agreement when he was in heaven?.
If Jesus is the son of God and Mary is his mother, what is the relationship between God and Mary?.

I dont expect you to understand, if you are looking to make a point or show that you are right, therefore you might not be honest in seeking God, secondly i dont expect you to understand if you are not genuinely seeking God, and God has not choosen you also.

Because God choose us before the world began, God knows who are his and who are not.

You cannot understand and accept the gospel by human reasoning alone, unless God give you the understanding, therefore you should first pray genuinely to God and ask him to reveal the truth you, have you done that Sir.

Now, for criteria, i read King James, and other bibles, and especially the old versions, and its better to read directly from the greek or original version, the version i read contains the truth about the gospel that Jesus died, he rose again and he will come again, and that is why i have hope always.

Linus199:

If it does not make sense to you, thats okay, but with what we see in the world, my friend, it should make sense, that God invincible attributes are shown in creation and there is no excuss to not believe in God.

Secondly, the human race has never got it right, they are always fighting, going to war, and behaving badly.

Thats because sin is ruling the human race. God said he will not let his spirit live in man because of his sins, and that is why there is death.

My friend i think God loves you, and that is why, he helps me to tell you these things, yet maybe one day you will be saved amen.

And That is why Christ came into the world that we may have life and have it in abundance, through him there is victory over sin, and death and there is restoration of the relationship between us and the creator, because by his precious blood he washed us, and by his Spirit we are born again. Now God restores his Holy Spirit back to us, because in the last days, which are these days, he will raise us up and give us life eternal, amen.

I do not expect you to understand it, unless God gives you understanding, therefore pray to God to show you his light in Christ Jesus.

There is much to say, but why dont you read the bible yourself.

I think you should be careful to make opinions, of what Jesus intended, just read the whole bible, and let it speak for itself. smiley

But you have some point, it because the bible translations may confuse us.

The silence Paul was talking about was about the need for women to conduct themselves in an orderly way.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 says

“Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.”

Please i have some questions for every Christian here.
People who wrote the Bible, what is their criteria, what qualities did there they possess before they were allowed to write the Bible?, and if every scripture is inspired by God, why does the Bible have lots of contradictions?.
Have you ever had any doubt of the Bible?, if no what do you have to say about the contradictions in the Bible?.
Why do you fast?, why do you celebrate Easter?, How did Christians come about the day for Easter celebration, what criteria did they use?.
Finally, there are lots of Bible, what criteria did you as a Christian use to believe in the particular Bible you are using?.
The purpose of these questions is to learn and not to ridicule any religion.
I stand to be corrected.

However, having said that I also believe all mankind and creatures living upon the face of the earth were created by one supreme God. Do you want to tell me that all other religions; Islam, traditional, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism etc will all perish because they are not Christians? I don't think so. Moreover Jesus Christ never preached religion. Rather he greatly talked about love; reason I dont believe in religion but I believe in Jesus Christ. I believe in God, and I believe in the love God commanded us to have for each other regardless of religion. And don't forget the same rain and sun God causes to rain and shine for the Christian folk he also causes the same for other religions. Religion is Manmade. Love is Godmade. Even the bible and the Quran and other spiritual books we read are edited by Man but God had told us that his commandments he will inscribe in our hearts. You talk about eternal life. What’s it?

Do you know that people live forever, regardless of your convictions? I mean, even if you leave your body by dying, that doesn’t make you stop existing. You will just be doing so in another realm.

I have never seen any of my ancestors suffering wherever they are, and they are not Christian. So, why should I hope for a life that does not exist.

If they want me to succeed on earth, it means earth is our home and I must build a better home for my future self.

I agree with many of Christ teachings because I will give a similar judgement if I am asked to judge. That doesn’t make me a follower, it’s Just common sense.

I don’t have any problem with your religion either, but like I said earlier, my allegiance is to my fathers, and my children.

I can’t lose my tradition and become a slave to another man tradition. If you are from the type of family I come from, you will know how important that is.

It’s my inheritance, I must protect it. I am proud of it, and I miss nothing.

So, why should I, a leader to my people drop our beliefs to start asslicking another race tradition.

1) You love christ teaching but do not believe in him, that is sad in a way, you are almost there, but not there.

2) You have a convenant with the dead.

3) You may have abilities with the supernatural, does not mean its will lead to eternal Life.

4) What people say is one thing, do you believe in what God says.

5) You are not even sure of yourself, you are playing with your eternal destiny, my brother its all your choice, no one can make you choose. But choose wisely.

6) You believe in love and humanity, but do not believe in the creator and his love for humanity, you say his love on the cross was fables and myths, well suit yourself. After all you choose what suits you and makes you feel very good.

Eternal life is a fable to you and myths, you do not care, but you care about what you see only, and its all good for now. What what will you see after death, what will you know after this life on earth, if you care, then you will situp and seek the truth and it will set you free by God grace.

Do not let pride fool you. Do not deceive yourself.

Fryx:

Let me assume you don’t understand my first write up.

I love Christ teaching, but, he is only useful for his people.

I have my own ancestors. And we have our beliefs.

If I am born in a bush that knows nothing about the existence of any religion, I will happily do like my fathers.

I was born into religion. But, I am deeply in covenant with my ancestors, so it fvcked me up really hard. I only regain my sanity once I stop believing in religion.

Plus, religion reduces my IQ by up to 99%, not a way of life for me.

I don’t practice any religion. My fathers don’t instruct me to practice any. They just minister to me directly (I didn’t lost my spiritual sensitivity)

When I was religious, they say I will become a pastor some day. Because they see that I am spiritually sensitive. They never say I am possessed with an evil spirit. Infact, I love everyone, and understand agree with Christ teachings, cause it’s largely true.

But, religion is not for me.

Christ never preach religion either.

My father never ask me to worship them or anyone either.

They just minister to me when necessary. That’s all.

Most of the time, I live as freely as I can.

Back to you questions. I don’t know who taught Christ about some eternal life or bla bla bla. But I guess it’s a Jewish something.

But, my fathers don’t believe in such fables. They believe in communicating with the dead. And they believe their dead is still among them.

They believe in good and evil.

They believe in karma.

That’s what I believe in.

I don’t know if they believe in humanity. But I believe in love and humanity. Not because I aim to get reward from being humane. But because it makes me happy and free my soul.

I do things because they makes sense to me. If it does not make sense to me, it does not apply to me.

And yes, if I achieve a great feat. I give myself a path in the back. And will gladly appreciate my fathers for standing by me.

Religion / Re: Why I Demanded Return Of Tithe From My Former Church – Abuja Man by SeriouslySense(m): 11:27am On Mar 17
In other words, you do not believe in Jesus, the son of God.

In another sense, you are your own god. You are your own salvation. Can you give yourself glory, does strength, purity and power trully comes from yourself. Do you deserve goodness, do you deserve life. Does it come from yourself, did you create yourself.

And what makes you sure, that it leads to eternal life with God.

Fryx:
I don’t pray, except I was directed to pray (from within me). And if I pray, I don’t pray to a religious god. I just talk to my fathers normally. And I see the result of my request.

Religion fvcked me up. Given I am spiritual too, it almost run me mad. Thanks to my fathers, I was not a a prisoner for long.

I don’t need to worry about anyone punishing me or roasting me in a lake of fire. I don’t even need to sacrifice or do any form of offering. My fathers knows what I need and are always ready to help me.

If I disobey them, I don’t need to ask for forgiveness. They know I am still growing, and learning from my mistakes is enough. They will guide me and teach me to rise from my mistakes. They teach me wisdom, knowledge and give me understanding.

But, they never made themselves god over me. They give me my freedom to learn and explore.

That’s the religion of my father. How those funny skinned people where able to manipulate my people that their religion is bad and theirs is good still baffles me. What can be better than “humanity as a religion”
Religion / Re: Why I Demanded Return Of Tithe From My Former Church – Abuja Man by SeriouslySense(m): 10:22am On Mar 17
This is not the time to lose faith and run from Jesus because of wealth, the end of days are here, and God is about to take many Christians into heaven in the rapture.

After Jesus takes us to heaven, there would be war, infact, it seems when America is being invaded, the rapture will happen, there would be earth quakes and volcanic eruptions, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give light.

There will be nuclear explosions. There will be a great crisis on earth, and the world will cry for a savoir, someone who can solve the great problems. Then comes the Antichrist. Since the world rejected Jesus Christ, they will accept the Antichrist and hsi false prophet. But the two witnesses (moses and Elijah will warn the Jews for 3.5 years, after this time they will be killed in the great city). The world rejoices around christmas that moses and elijah were murdered. Three days later, moses and elijah rise from the dead and ascend into heaven while the world watch in fear.

The other half of the seven years of great tribulation is full of God's wrath on mankind. This is not a time to be confused or be so woke that you cannot see what is in front of you.

Christianity does not make one rich, and it is not always about automatic signs and wonders.

Although God can do signs and wonders acccording to his good will. Its about realizing what Jesus did on the cross and accepting it, and really growing in faith.

I think Nigerian missed it, when they focus on signs, wonders, wealth and power. They are motivated to make money.

Seek God and his kingdom first and others will be added. Seek the truth and the truth will set you free, whom the Son set free, is free indeed.

I thought i will never get into swiming pool, until i tried it, its very interesting although the pool was not deep, i kept sinking, i hope to go for swimming lessons when i have the chance. I thought i would be able to learn on that same day, its something one needs some days to learn, not too hard. Children should be taught how to swim it is a vital skill.

There is no need to have unhealthy fear of pools. You can always start with shallow pools and go gradually.
