Checking from www.flysat.com, it is stated that: Net 2 tv, etv Ghana, Russian Travel Gude etc are on Amos5@17E. I have done several blindscan but I'm not getting these channels. Please, have they left Amos5@17E?

Lunsat: You need to know these basics:

Azimuth means the East/West direction of the satellite as seen from your location.

Elevation means the up/down direction of the satellite as seen from your location.

Azimuth and elevation are set at the dish when you are pointing the dish to a sattelite. They are not set at the decoder. Thank u sir , does it mean i cannt make any settings to get a specific satellite ? . Also if i get u well sir , i will only need to put on the decoder just for it to supply voltage to sat finder .

The sat finder is a gadget that helps you align your satellite dish to a settelite. When your dish is pointing at a settelite and receivimg a signal (i.e when azimuth and elevation are correct) the sat finder will scream and its needle will swing to the right to tell you that you have nailed a satellite. If you fix the dish in that position and do a blind scan the decoder will find channels.

Setoop: Pls gurus , i bought an analogue satellite finder Televes SF- 95 (see the attached pic .) but i don't know how to use it . I will be happy if someone can explain how to use it . The only thing i can do now is that i can only connect one to receiver and other one to lnbf as indicated on the mannual but i don't know how to set assimuth on decoder , i use str 4669z . Thank u

Lunsat: Intelsat 28 is the other name for Intelsat New dawn at 33E.

charleya: pls help i have 3 60cm dish .wheneve i connect the wire from the 3 dish to the disecq switch it continue to show lnbf.but if i connect any one alone out of the three it will be showing

olenyi: When reading the degrees, u read from the sky as ur 0' reference point. Then u count down either east or west to the horizon.

C Band satellite is certainly getting better and better by the day - and this is coming at a time most peeps thought c band was dead
and forgotten!
pls tell me more about C band , because have seen those channel on lyngsat but all my set up are on Ku band and i have not try my hand on C band
Imagine watching Channels TV, Soundcity Premium, Silverbird TV, etc free without having to unscramble big brother!
