Simply put, stupid people shouldn't have sex. |
So relationships are now all about sex? You ask her out for a relationship. She tells you there'll be no sex. You didn't break up with her at that point, but you went on with the relationship, and cheated on your promise to her, with another girl. And then, you blame her for your own offense? Peppersoup logic. |
Only stupid people remember they've made a mistake after they get pregnant. . . |
I personally think such relationships make no sense, even though it works out for a microscopical few We all know that the aim of being an undergraduate, is to be a graduate with good grades that'll put you in pole position to get a job and further your chosen career. But then, the laws of attraction must take place. Undergraduates are mostly teenagers who have been "caged" all their life by their parent. Now they're in an environment with so much freedom to do anything, and to discover feelings they never knew existed. The next obvious thing, is to experiment. The fleeting feeling they get from being with a member of the opposite sex becomes like a drug addiction and they keep going back for more. But of course, they're all too vulnerable and naïve to realize that life has so much more to offer them in the future. They fall in "love" and have to deal with the consequences of heartbreak, stds, unwanted pregnancies as the case may be. This surely deviates from their original aim of being undergraduates because they now get distracted. And by the time they realize their misplaced priorities, the harm has been done. Sometimes I'll also argue that such relationships kind of shaped a lot of people into being better persons, and worse. Undergraduate relationships lead now where, most times. It can not be stopped either. The only help you can render to curb it is to tell those that matter to you the truth about life. Let them see that there is time for everything. If you don't guide them, the consequences will somehow also affect you. If you're an undergraduate and you're reading this, that girl in your department you think you cannot live without, in the next few years, you'll ask yourself what got you attracted to her in the first place. That boy you are cooking for and being a wife to, as an undergraduate will never marry you. Do not realize the facts when it's already too late. You can never jump a stage in life. If you jump a stage, there are consequences. Learn from the mistakes of others and avoid the destructive paths they chose. See your current situation as a 2nd chance. Face your studies. Ladies are always attracted to successful people or people who have the potential to be successful. Become successful or put yourself on the paths of success, and when the time comes, you'll be spoilt for choice. |

OfeAku:You're not a guy. . . That's for sure. Girls play pranks too, don't they? |
Ofeaku, sorry if you feel I'm cold. I know you're smart enough to realize it's just a natural defense mechanism. Flattering words, yes. You're brave and know what you want. If you were in my shoes, what will you do? |
