He should have said his commiserations and left it there.
There's no excuse for not living peaceably. There's no excuse whatsoever to kill, when it's for religion or some God, it's just idiotic!!
For those saying he was generalising it, we know he tactfully blamed the dead woman because which group of other religion cries of disrespect for their faith apart from Islam?

I so love your comment. In a nutshell man...

I will NOT be led around by the nose to a false conclusion, and they do this all the time. Here is the common structure of many of their arguments:

JW: Do you agree that X?
You: Yes of course.
JW: Do you agree that Y?
You: Yup.
JW: Do you agree that Z?
You: Well yes.
JW: Okay great! So you agree that X, Y, and Z. Doesn't it make sense to also agree with A?

Whenever I detect a nose-pull like this, I immediately stop them. I take the air out of their argument by saying "Yes, this is the teleological argument for the existence of God. You are going to ask me about paintings without painters and buildings without architects. And then you are going reveal those to be analogies for the design of the world/universe by a creator. So, let me explain to you why your analogy is false (thus destroying the soundness of the argument.)"

Then you just fit your favorite parry of the argument here. Mine, for the one this guy used on you, is:

So you will probably ask me about walking down a beach and finding a pocket watch. You'll ask me how I know it's designed and not something that just occurs in nature. And I will tell you that it is remarkably complex and has various indicators of design. However, what you should be aware of, is that a great way to tell if something is designed is if it serves a specific function. I can tell you the function of a watch, a car, an elevator, a ceiling fan. Can you tell me the specific function of the earth? Of the universe?

Watch them die trying to answer that one. Also I might add, that we determine if something is designed by a person simply by comparing it to nature and accounting for its differences. What can you compare the earth to, or the universe to, to determine whether it is natural or designed?

Edit: Oh and by the way, if they try to tell you that the purpose of earth or the universe is to please God, then they're begging the question, and the argument fails before it starts.

Mr atheist; the specific function of the sun is to provide light and energy; the moon some light in the night; the earth for people to stand on and grow crops and so on. Well that's a start isn't it?

I got news flash! The anti-Christ does not need your huge gigamous world class database or e-commerce centralized or conglomerated repository to mark people.

People that Pendle these falsehood under the name of Christianity, shows their ignorance on the subject and lacks the biblical teachings on the subject.

Rev. 13:16..."... Also it causes ALL, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or on their forehead"

There are millions of unreached people in the world today, millions upon millions that are not part of any database, they are not connected to the rest of the world, many of them still living primitive lives, no bank account, no cell phone, nothing! But the bible said ALL will be forced to take the number.

We are very mistaken to think that, the anti-Christ is going to be a natural being and such, he will need our human stupid database of world people for it's outreach. This belief is as a result of lack of understanding of the scriptures....the Anti-Christ is a spiritual being, they will operate in the spiritual dimension to bring about the physical changes they sort, so they will not need your world class antiquated database, nor will it be of any usefulness to them but those database and BVN number will be useful for the Nigeria government to fight crimes, so do not forget to get yours and do not put doubts in the mind of others thus preventing them from getting theirs....

Also, the mark or name of the beast will be an inscription on the forehead or on your right hand...and this was repeated over and over in the bible and it is not figurative or a cover for some statistical numbering system at CBN or the government office or some world wide server of database of people's identity.

Not so sire. Please o this is not a christianity contest. Jesus christ had the power to do it all and yet we had the apostles. God sent Moses and so many others; perhaps you can tell us why!!! I only said to be good christians and you attac me! That's great sire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay time to finish this tread! Neither the op nor his supporters said BVN was bad. We suggest that the ids of everyone in all the world may soon end up in a single database (something like that). That this may pave the way for a massive central authority that no one can oppose. Let's not forget that e-business will continue to grow (and shops may even dissapear after 1000 years!). Remember there was barter b4 the money thing came. Cards, numbers and identity things may end up adjuged better than money later! Then.............. BOOM anti-Christt. No one is saying it is not inevitable (it will happen as prophesized); we are just begging to be GOOD CHRISTIANS kiss

Yes. The truth being the government wants to create an efficient system where they can track anybody.. No issues with that.. For 50 years USA has had social security number which works well. It's not today ppl started getting tagged.. It's a natural progression of more efficient ways of doing things. Like passport which has been there since time immemorial.. I bet someone once said that is Mark of the beast too..

We need to stop attaching religious implications to inevitable things.. Human tagging is inevitable

I will tell u what should be inevitable in this country, if u are so crazy about efficiency! It is simply to reduce importation as far as possible. This is exactly the point. These criminals hide under culture and religion to perpetuate their mindless evil.

It is totally unthinkable that at this time and age, grown up human beings would pass such a bill.

These mofos are not better than boko haram. Boko haram kills children with guns and arrows, the advocates of this bill are simply killing them physiologically and emotionally.

This is common sense: you cannot marry or attempt to penetrate a baby whose body is not simply ready yet.

But then, they tell us it about religion and the freedom to practice. No! For the sake of the kids, we must reject this bill. Thank you prof for standing up for the weak once again

Despite ur good point, you forget that this same science ur talking about is not practised in Nigeria! We are always content with importing everything. The whole education thing is imported. And all of us who have devoted ourselves to it just manage to learn barely enough to do anything independent with our education. We are all victims including even the prof! So who caused all this? Our fore-bearers who didn't do enough science or white evil? I seriously need an answer o.

Oh, it's wrong for Ambode to be Tinubu's stooge and very right for Agbaje to be Bode George's? Besides, how was I arrogant, shallow and 'hatable' in my analysis? I'm not a politician and I don't have the cause to nurse any personal grudge against any of the parties. I am an informed citizen who only reviewed the 2 candidates based on the facts available from whence I formed an opinion which I am entitled to. Think it would only be rational for you to take me up on what I said about the candidates rather than passing baseless judgment on me.
Okay I will now take you up on the candidates. You were talking about Ambode's experience and performance. Let me ask you what he has achieved exactly and how many he has led before. Please also tell me how much he has done for people outside his family. The fact Jimi has experience with different parties starts to suggest he's not the kind of stooge Ambode is (more like Buhari and Tinubu). Plus, we have just been liberated from pdp's democratic dictatorship in a way and it is now best to keep both parties alive and strong (or APC will just become the next PDP). I would even add thet people of the south-west must try to retain (and even increase) their stakes in PDP, because it is obvious that APC will soon be firmly under the control of the north. Poth parties must stay alive and competitive so that they either are forced to perform better or report the attrocities of the other to us. That I think is best for NIGERIA and all of us.
About the one-branch talk, it is something that can be interpreted in many ways. Such as: he is not crazy about riches (which is quite great); he is not a thief (and so will not embezzle our wealth)... There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, nothing at all. And all the while your Amnode has been 'mis-transferring funds' from govt house (which is what u are calling experience right).
And sorry for my hard words before; no offence intended honestly. Just let us be careful to choose wisely while we have the chance (dogs chance since they can still rig) to regulate these politicians. Soon dey will be above the law and the only thing that can restrain them is competition with and watchful eyes of THEIR PEERS.
No need to pity Tinubu sir for what might soon befall him, especially if he loses Lagos. He has enjoyed life far more than 99 percent of Nigerians to have ever lived smiley.
And finally the situation means that we must look beyond the candidates themselves. If Tinubu, then there is the possibility Buhari's anti-corruption drive will not reach Lagos (even if it is not certain). With PDP in govt, it will definitely reach lagos (a very ggood thing). The PDP would also have enough strength to at least see what the feds are doing and won't be silenced or complicit (something we cannot guarantee with Tinubu). This is what I was talking about in my first post (and why I said shallow).

Talk of Baby-Bloggers and Beer Parlor tale bearers, this is a typical example. It defies all logic and reasoning and the ill-informed sentimental argument is nauseating. Xray the 2 candidates and tell me which is better.

Agbaje, a pseud-pharmaceutical entrepreneur who could not develop his business beyond a single outlet in over 2 decades, who could not withstand the heat from local competition like Fidson, Emzor, Juli etc, abandoned his core business for politics where he had been consistently jumping from one party to the other in his desperation for guber nomination. Let's leave the source of his funding for now. From the foregoing, one can deduce that Agbaje has never successfully managed a business concern involving 100 people. He is a desperate politician without any ideology whatsoever beyond his self interest. ''If party A will not nominate me as governorship candidate, I will go to party B''. Desperation all the way and this will be manifested fully in the eventuality of him loosing this election. Agbaje will have no qualms aligning with APC. To me, it would be suicidal to entrust the biggest economy in Nigeria in such a person.

Ambode, a technocrat of repute who was pivotal to the various developmental issues in the state spanning many regimes. A creative administrator as evidenced in his numerous achievements whilst in service. An international and award-winning scholar. A civil servant with envious track records that cannot be overturned easily. Well read, adequately exposed, internationally recognized. To me, there is no basis for comparing them, the 2 belong to different worlds and Ambode's is far far ahead of Agbaje's and in a sane clime, Ambode will definitely send Agbaje to the dust bin of history that he truly belongs.
I don't to insult people, so ur very lucky. U are the kind I cannot stand: arrogant and shallow. Everyone knows Ambode is Tinubu's stooge. And in our current political clime, we should not have that. It is more important than anything else for both levels of govt to keep the other on their toes. It will help them perform better; and at least prolong our semi-democracy. See reasons and stop being 'hatable'.
