Like so many people have said, Nairaland does not control the Nigerian auto market. It is just a small part of it. As long as we prioritize the needs of customers and continue to innovate, all of us can dey our dey, and still smile to the bank.

The goal of the thread remains to bring you the best offers and prices were initially pegged at N1m and later moved to N1.2m. However, we are continually inundated with requests for vehicles priced above that amount and it is only logical that we attend to those requests as they came through the thread. Though we initially opened another thread to serve those requests, we are currently limited in manpower and chose to maintain one thread for now. So please bear with us in the meantime.

Nevertheless, we will continue to strive to bring you prices around the thread title. However, changes in the Nigerian market also make that very challenging. The most important is the age limitation set for vehicles. As 2019 gradually winds to a close, we will only be able to offer vehicles produced in 2005 and above. While some clearing agents are able to clear vehicles that are older, the process is fraught with risk and the vehicles can be seized by Customs or a fine imposed. In the event that that happens, it will lead to unpleasantness and dissatisfaction that we would rather do without at this time.

Be rest assured that we are constantly on our drawing board charting the best way to serve you.

As promised above the time is now right for me to give my proper assessment.
Amdman got me a 2006 Camry, we went through several choice until he saw a great vehicle for a good deal. Please note that the car you select originally might not be the one you buy if after inspection he sees any issues.

The carfax report of the car indicated that the car only had one user, which means I am the second owner of a car which has never been in a major accident apart from a scratch to the front bumper. Engine is super quiet. No major repairs to the transmission or engine in any shape form or size. The tires on the car are way better than what I currently have on my current car. Plus the spare tire in the boot is brand new. Beautiful leather interior. Car travelled from Lagos from 6am and Entered Uyo at exactly 3:34Pm I don't know if the driver flew, but he confessed that even plus his stops, the car was moving perfectly. Shocks are still in perfect condition.

On a lighter note.. the previous owner of the car likes Beer sha
And he sent me a full pack of Nestle water

If you're still skeptical of this OP, I hope my experience helps you make an informed decision. Since May, I am yet to see anyone come here to complain that he bought a Lemon...

I'll use certain criteria to make this review easy to understand.

1. Communication: When the Op started, this was a major issue. However, after a few of us called him out he reviewed and improved drastically on communication so I'll score him 7/10 here

2. On disclosure and Transparency: The first car I was interested in the seller did not show up. Amdman gave me several options and disclosed all the information. He also gave his personal advice which I followed since he was on the ground even if it meant a slightly higher amount than the first advertised car. Needless to say that I am satisfied with the choice he adviced me on. When the car arrived Nigeria and it was taking longer than neccessary to clear due to the Port congestion, he gave me updates, even to the minutest detail of where we were on the procedure. I'll score him 10/10 here

3. Customer Service: Amdman was exceptional from start to finish. He was calm and answered my plenty questions, Provided all information I needed to make an informed choice. Even offered to go beyond the terms of our contract when the vehicle arrived because I was very far away from Lagos. I score him another 10/10 here

4. On third party services: The agent was calm but nearly lost his cool one time. After that we had a smooth conversation on phone and whatsapp. While I understand he was under pressure I'll score him an 8/10 here

Overall performance I'll score Amdman 9/10 only because I am stingy with marks. It was a pleasant experience except for the undue time it took to clear the car, due to the congestion (which was no fault of his by the way) It was a great experience. If that's how peaceful it is to buy a car from Canada through Amdman, then he will continue to make sales.

Long before the Klassiq01 issue, we had this discussion, and I also raised some of Wildchild1's suggestions, and that's why I am supporting his post, along with Bobo65's and Frinx's.

Good one Bobo65 and Frinx, from the look of things here, most deal hunters are greedy and selfish as they are only interested in getting vouch and selling their products. This is one of the major reasons Nigeria is not growing collectively, i dont care attitude/e no concern me. Same thing played out on Dallas thread, the regular buyers wouldnt fault the picker and talk sense into her, why? they want her to still be picking for them, we go still revise the matter another day.

Dragnet has long abandoned us here because we couldnt adhere to some things that were postulated, thats why he never commented on any issue/scam/deals gone bad again, baba don leave us to our fate. This issue of scam is something that should be condemned by all those who make use of this thread but reverse is the case. Going forward, i humbly suggest that

i. Every TLC deal should have the name of picker.
ii. If you doubt the TLC deal, confirm from the picker, request that ownership be transferred from the deal hunter to you before shipping.
iii. When requesting for an AIN deal, dont ask people to message you on whatsapp, just ask them to quote you then you reach out to them.
iv. For AIN deal, if seller is not in your location and you dont really trust the seller, kindly make use of an escrow. It is better to lose 500 naira or 1k that would be charged by an escrow than to lose 100k.
v. Everyone should save as many contacts as they can so that when someone claims to be another person, you can easily detect because you have the original number saved.

NB: I support Bobo's submission that the thread should be locked temporarily for 3 days as it was done when we had lot of spams on picker's thread. We should all discuss way forward/modalities on the resolution thread.

I agree with all of the wild one's suggestions. I agree with Bobo65's and Frinx's comments as well. Nice one. These steps will go a long way in preventing and curbing the activities of the scammers on this thread.

Apart from that, Canada is a cold country, and they're most likely in full winter season, now. So, OP, probably, can't do inspections or take pictures of the cars. Winter MAY, generally,not be a good time to buy or sell cars.
