Hi, welcome to the thread. Since nobody has helped you with any explanations to your questions, let me help you, as I no see sleep sleep.

1. The phones sold here are 100% sourced from the USA-, both fairly used and brand new. These phones are ordered from local classifieds ad sites like 5 miles, Offer Up, Craigslist etc and nationwide classifieds ad sites like Ebay, Amazon etc and other general shopping sites. The idea is to buy at the cheapest price possible, to make a good profit.
The process of scouting for such bargain deals is called deal-hunting. Hence, most of the sellers here are 'deal hunters'. There are also people who buy from the dealhunters to resell here or offline. You know the drill.

2. From whichever of the types of classifieds ad sites that the deals are bought from, somebody has to go pick and pay for the deal. You pay to them for the item+their fuel and service charge+shipping to Naija, and they go pick up, and will ship with other items, per week. It's a side-hustle, for them.
We call them pickers. They live in the USA.
However, some of them do strictly Ebay and Amazon. They may or may not live in the USA.. For Ebay and Amazon and general shopping on shopping sites, all they need is an address to ship packages to, and they arrange pickup with cargo shippers from the USA to ship to Naija.

3. a) When these deals are paid for, picked up, and shipped, a dealhunter may decide to advertise the deal as TLC (total landing cost). deal. Meaning that, they don't want to wait 1-2 weeks for the shipped item to land in Nigeria, before selling it off. So, they sell it off while it's still in transit, to free up money for other deals. TLC items already have the item cost+picker fees+shipping to Naija+ say 5k (+/-)profit factored intothe final offer. So, they're always cheap, not negotiable, but you have to patiently wait for them to land in Naija. TLC items are usually 20-40k cheaper than similar offers at Ikeja computer village. The cons here is that both you and the dealhunter don't know the full details of the condition of the deal. The pros, for the buyer is the cheap prices. The pros, for the dealhunter/seller is that they're able to turnover their investment as many times as they want, and make instant profit. Imagine dealing 10-15 times in a month and making 5-10k passive income.

3. b) Sometimes, the dealhunter/seller may not want to sell at TLC price, because selling at prevailing market price is more profitable, or the dealhunter may not get someone to buy at TLC value, until the item lands in Nigeria. This deal is called an AIN (Already in Nigeria) deal. Dealhunter buys item(s), ship to Naija, and sells at Naija prevailing rates, or slightly cheaper, to make higher profits. Most of these AIN dealers are shop owners and actual resellers at places like Ikeja Computer Village, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and in other states.
On this type of deal, you can go meet the dealhunter at their office or a meeting point, to inspect item's condition, before you pay for it.

I know that this thread has already reached 700 pages, but, go to Page 1, for more details on how it all works, and read up pages 1-10, and then, come to page 680 to the latest page, to have a good grasp of what we do here, and how to get nice deals.

You, too, can be a reseller, one-time buyer, or dealhunter.

Hello, bro.

TLC FAIRLY-USED deals are deals bought unseen by the deal hunter, but bought as described by the oyinbo seller, and summarily tested or examined by the picker. So, it's like buying an item that is not thoroughly tested, but is known to be functional/working, usable, and/or fixable (like locked iPhones that require chips, or phone screens that have hairline cracks). If there are known issues, they're detailed, and the decision to buy-to-fix is the buyer/end-user's

When a deal is found on Ebay or OfferUp, a deal hunter already has an idea of the going market price of the item being bought, and already has an idea of the profit they'll make after adding pickup fees and shipping costs to Nigeria.
So, TLC deals are basically item cost + pickup cost + cost of shipping to Nigeria + reasonable profit for the deal hunter.

Risks involved in buying TLC deals:
The major risk, if you're buying any used items, is that you don't know the history of the item, or the usage and maintenance routine of the original owner. You don't know anything beyond what was advertised or discussed, until you receive it.
You don't know how many falls it has survived, if it has software glitches, sometimes. The picker can't know, if there are any issues, within the <5 minutes examination of the item. Time is money, over there, so, no oyinbo seller or Naija picker wants to sit down testing a phone or laptop for 10-30 minutes, at McDonald's. So, deal hunter asks all the questions that matters, and request pictures or videos as evidence of what is described to them. The picker only has to check and confirm these description of the item, as sent to them by the deal hunter.
If you go through some of the TLC issues that have come up here and have been resolved, it's usually because some unknown/undisclosed software and hardware issues came up after purchase. But, have no fear. Those bad issues are like 2 out of 30 successful deals, and most of them are resolved without getting here. Na normal thing for business. Even brand new item, tear nylon, dey get issues.
Mind you, electronics are also quite unpredictable and unreliable, and most of their issues accumulates over time. You may drop your phone 5-10 times in 10 months, and nothing happens, but, one day you'll drop it, carelessly, on your soft bed and it will just freeze or stop charging. You'll take it to Ikeja, and the engineer will tell you to change the motherboard. It will be like a bad dream, that day. Lol.
In summary, TLC deals are cheap to buy, BUT, the responsibility is also transferred to/to be borne by the end-user/buyer. So, make sure you ask for more details about the deal, before buying from ANY deal hunter. That way, if/when things go south, you'll both bear the responsibility (if minor issues are discovered) or you'll demand a full refund (if major issues are discovered).


The major essence of TLC deals:
*Deal hunters sell the deals before they land in Nigeria, in order to reinvest their money in other deals. They make their small money, and move on. The USA is a huge country, with large states, and millions of electronics are being sold daily, so, there's no point hoarding these deals.
*To the buyer, TLC deals are like 20k+ cheaper than deals that have already landed in Nigeria, but the responsibility is transferred to the buyer/end-user, PLUS, the buyer/end-user has to wait 1-2 weeks, for their order to land.

How to buy:
TLC deals are usually sold to recoup money for reinvestment purpose. So, normally, you pay 100% of the item's TLC price to the deal hunter, and this is the best way to deal. Buy only what you can afford per time. Don't owe.
After a few successful business deals, a deal hunter may allow you to pay for deals in two or 3 installments. Some deal hunters may allow you to make a deposit before your order arrives, and you pay the balance on arrival.
