I got 6 mentions on this Klassiq01 scam issue. I read it overnight, but was quite shocked by the revelation of his scam.

Let me start with you. At what point is it bad to tell you (or anyone) not to label anyone else, unless you have proof of your accusation? Most of you attacked the guy because he was a newcomer posting on the theead and disrupting prices.. This was the basis of my defense of the guy. I would have defended ANYONE else, in that situation.

It is quite unfortunate, that the Klassiq01 guy turned out to be a scammer, eventually. My bad. My intentions were/are good.

Even though your post has been dropped and forgotten already, I'm just seeing it and I'll like to clear some doubts you don't even see coming... But the experienced deal hunters in the game surely knows this. Pay attention!!!

You can see any phone for any price but there is always something different with those phones.

Firstly, when you check those sites where people secure their deals, you'll notice there's no uniform price, sellers put different prices. I'll be using that your same S10 for this analysis, when you check, few sellers will put as low as $300/$350 while some will put $500/$550. Now, at some point all the cheap ones will be bought and sold as TLC by some deal hunters, remaining the expensive ones, now some other hunters are left with the choice to beat down the $500/550 price tag so as to secure the deal at a great price. But no matter how much they try, most of those sellers who put $550 will never come down to $300 (the price they bought the previous ones), they see it as extreme lowballing. Hence, meaning the deal hunters that secured the second category of s10 will sell at a higher price than the first. Why..? The reason lies with the seller and the seller's price!

Secondly, some resellers here will buy the s10 from the deal hunters that secured at $300/$350 with their own money in order to sell to another reseller who's still sleeping while they are awake to see the deal the deal hunter posted. Now, do you expect those resellers who bought the deal from the deal hunter to sell at that same price they bought..? Impossible! Even you can't do that. It goes on and on like that. As a matter of fact, I've posted a deal which was bought by a reseller who sold to another reseller and the last reseller sold to the interested user. That's how every market is!

Thirdly, do you know these phones have different unlock status and locked to different carriers.? Even sellers on those sites knows which carriers lock the phones and they have a rough idea on how much it takes to unlock each carrier, hence reflecting it on the prices. When the S10 just came out, sellers sold the sprint locked very cheap, because it couldn't be unlocked at that time, so many deal hunters rushed it thinking they've gotten sweet deals, keeping their S10s in their wardrobes for long and when the unlock started going, it used to cost a fortune to unlock it. Even up till now that the price has dropped, the cheapest unlock for a Sprint s10 starts from 20k while some goes for as high as 35k.

Now the most important part, there are some special locks which most people are not knowledgeable about. When people buy phones with such locks, they sell them very cheap because the chances of getting a successful unlock on such phones are very low. Even when you do unlock the phone, without using the right method, chances are some parts of the phones will be damaged without people knowing, an example are devices with Chimaera lock policy, MDM, RML etc... Have you seen an S10 whose Secure folder isn't working, Samsung pay, Samsung Healths etc are not working while other parts of the phone is working, simply because the unlock method used on it has affected the Knox security hence affecting the Apps that works with the Knox environment even when Knox isn't triggered. I can bet you'll buy such devices without knowing for a very longtime. Not to mention, the chances of buying the Clone and other things too.

There are so many things to consider like that which most end users don't know, all they see is the price part without considering those important factors. To cut long story short, this thread is still the go to thread for buying legally gotten cheap devices on Nairaland and Nigeria as a whole. I've personally referred so many Non-nairalanders to this thread and they are now using here. People buy and sell in millions everyday on this thread, with very limited issues arising. If you see a phone cheaper elsewhere, go for it... If it's good, your joy. If it has issues, your luck. Don't forget that some people will gladly buy stolen phones knowingly or unknowingly because they are being sold cheaper too, but here we all know how the phones being sold are gotten and we have rest of mind, atleast to a very good extent.

And for anyone whose gonna say get a nord VPN and visit offerup , yeah I've visited it and I know getting a good deal on a phone isn't all that easy but the idea is , TLC deals ought to be friendly prices , if you wanna make a killing , stick to AIN . I noticed lately that I see better deals on phones in PHONES SECTION than over here , imagine after using the money I kept for getting an S10 hoping I'll get a nice deal here , I'm going to phone section and seeing an s10 for 125k there already in nigeria , Bleep . Though I'm flexing my new phone like mad , no complaint because I'm not a gamer and I doubt there's any multitasking my present phone can't handle but this page has really lost its bearing .

And I'm well aware I can't suggest pricing for anybody , because I don't know how long and how much they toiled to close their deals but please let's be guided , like praddit advised . Boss, your observation is valid. However, like you concluded, you can't suggest pricing for anybody.
I noticed, too, that there has been a hike in prices of TLC deals, however, some deal hunters still sell at low prices. I think it all depends on how much deal hunters are able to secure the deals. Also, some of the experienced dealers have moved on from buying cracked, scratched , or buy-to-fix devices, to buying mint and neat, or brand new deals only, in order to match their (new) class/status. I no blame them. When you still dey struggle, na im person go dey buy tokunbo jalopy. When money don land and pepper don rest, you go just buy one expensive, nice German or Japanese machine, dey enjoy life jejely.

On this same thread, I have, recently, seen an iPhone X, factory unlocked, for 95k, several touchscreen, core i3-i5 laptops for 70-80k with generous RAM and HDD offerings.
iPhone 7plus and 8plus, chip unlocked and factory unlocked used to be quite cheap, on this thread, but ayam not understanding the recent hike in their prices. Nowadays, it seems it's cheaper to buy an iPhone XR than an iPhone 8plus.

A few weeks and months ago, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was hovering between 90k-110k. Nowadays, all thanks to Oluoxide, aywhy93, Joselph95, Toceenay, Frinx etc, you can get same Note 8 for 68-80k, depending on neatness. You can rest, assured that you'll get a great deal on Samsung phones, from these gentlemen. And, thanks to Wildchild1, and the gentlemen mentioned above, a mint Samsung Galaxy Note 9 can be easily bought for 120k.

Personally, I think the bulk of the pricing issues lies with iPhone dealers. Even Frinx used to have very cheap iPhone deals, but e be like say cabal now set his pricing.

For real, it's easier to get a dirt-cheap laptop from Rakiticbarca and Dthinkerman, and others, on this thread, than getting a good deal on an iPhone, in recent times. Ikeja dealers and their cut-throat pricing seems to have infiltrated/influenced this thread, in recent times.

Baba God go epp all of us. Some of us (buyers and resellers) are not even interested in dealing with OfferUp ish (personally, I'd rather do Ebay), we just need the dealhunters/sellers, to give us the reasonably-priced, affordable, and mouthwatering deals that this thread is known for..

1. Here, the first thing you need to do is confirm from the picker if the said item was truly picked up and for who exactly.
2. Then you can ask for Vouches from 2 or 3 reputable members or active members on the thread.
3. If you dey fear go wait for the person for pickup location when items Land.

Option 1 Is what is giving scammers headache. Recently one tried to come up with his own Imaginary picker and he Failed.

According to him, the phone belongs to his wife, literally the phone is useless to him because it doesn't bring network and the battery doesn't last more than 20mins - paid him for the phone after he got alert he never responded to me again, until this morning telling me I'll get the phone today, meanwhile prior to when I paid, his respond is between 30secs interval but after I paid he only responded once which is this morning
