Canadianfly:You're right on both counts. Thanks for the clarification |
Ambidextrause:Hello Ambidextrause. I've replied. You can send PMs now. |
Dame91:I might be wrong but I believe those PCCs are only valid for 6 months. As regards your Fiance, I recommend you start the process and use your fiance as Dependent. You'll have to do all the work, but as long as they are willing to give you documents, do medicals, Police report and take passport when the time comes, they don't have to lift a finger. Whether your fiance will agree to follow you to Canada when the time comes however............... |
okonja:Yes, we both wrote IELTS and did ECA for our credentials. I as the PA claimed points from my wife's IELTS and ECA We declared POF for a family of 3, i think about 18k3 CAD or thereabout. The money was not fully covered by the naira in my savings account due to exchange rate, so we used our Pension fund statement (both of us). With the allowed 25%, it was more than enough to cover the requirement. You can obtain a letter in that regards from any office of your registered PFA |
sleekchic:I changed my passport between EE Profile and PR Application as the old passport was going to expire before the PR application could be completed. I used my old passport to start the EE application, then got a new passport and when I got ITA, I used the new one. I just explained the change in my LOE and had no issues. At least its been approved now. Like I explained earlier, even my wife used two different passports. One with maiden name for EE and one with married name after ITA. We never got any ADR for that. Just explain in your LOE and attach scanned copies of both passports as your travel documents. Plus note that new passport has a row showing the Old passport number |
stonecoldcafe:Thanks |
Saintp:Was told to explain a transaction on my savings account. There was a significant transfer (own account transfer) from current to savings. We sold USD and the BDC gave us cash which was credited to current and then moved to POF savings. I explained all that in the ADR LOE i sent and attached the email showing the inflow of the USD into my DOM account from my wife's account. Also attached statements showing that it was a cash deposit into current that was moved into savings. |
Ljay17:Nope. Nothing like that. That document came with PPR request. We didn't fill any IMM008 as well as there was no change to the family. Just sent the PPR letter and filled the attached Height and eye colour form only. |
Just to say a big thank you to everyone that contributed to this forum. My family (Husband, wife and child) started this journey in September 2016, and the forum was very instrumental to our success. To everyone that has just started or is planning to start, please don't waste your money on consultants. Read, Read and again read. All the information you need is here. Join the various whats app groups and in no time, you'll be an expert. Lastly, to encourage people, see our timeline below IELTS: September 2016 IQAS: September 2016 EE Profile Created: November 2016, with Husband as Principal Applicant and CRS 418 ITA: April 9th 2017 (5 months After) Medicals: June 19th 2017 Application Submitted: July 9th 2017 Medicals Passed: July 21st, 2017 July to December 2017 : roughly 6 months (absolutely nothing happened. As in nothing. We just dey siddon look everyday) January 4, 2018: ADR for POF (responded immediately) Changed to IP2 January 5, 2018: PPR (finally, just about 4 days to 6 months) Passports delivered to Accra January 10th and approved, January 19th. Awaiting pick up letter. Been a long journey, but worth the wait. If you're with the London visa office, i recommend you lift up your eyes to the hills, and just wait upon the Lord or whatever your faith trusts in (lol). Spend the time reading up on what you need to do post PPR, cos trust me, there is a lot to do if you want to land and integrate easily with minimal disruption to your livelihood and standard of living. Its not about your qualifications or anything but just basic stuff that make things like finding a job easier. Will update when the pick up letter arrives. FAQS: 1. We changed our passports during the process, i.e. different passports for EE and PR application. Wifey even changed her name from maiden to married. We explained in LOE and no issues. 2. I changed NOCS between EE and PR application (after ITA). Again, no issues, just explain with LOE and you should be fine. 3. We paid all Application and COPR fees upfront as recommended. (not compulsory though) 4. We uploaded all IQAS and IELTS (did not want stories that touch) 5. POF was savings account 6. We have had visa rejections before, so no issues there 7. We used our childs US passport. Visa will not be issued on approval but child will get COPR Will update if i think of any other thing Thanks and peace out |
Hi All I recently purchased a 2011 Acura MDX and I'm having a bit of a hard time locating a Good auto shop / mechanic that really understands the car. I even took it to Honda in Apapa but when they came out with the quote, they recommended VTF 4 fluid for the rear differential instead of the manufacturer recommended DPSF fluid. For the engine, they also recommended 5w-30 in place of the manufacturer recommended 5w-20. This kinda scared me, so I recalled the vehicle, before we start telling stories. So please does anyone know any good auto repair workshops or mechanics that truly understand the unique requirements of the Acura Vehicle. There's nothing wrong with the car per se but I'm just being proactive. I have attached a copy of the recommended service fluids Location is Lagos (within the Lekki, Yaba, Ikeja axis but any area in Lagos is fine as long as they are good) Thanks

Hi All Congrats to all the new moms, successful POEs and expectants! ![]() I'm a first time mom and really appreciate all the support from this forum. I dunno what I'lld have done without you guys. I was gonna go to Gwinneth ATL b4 but since I have family in Maryland, I've decided to go there instead. A friend recommended shady grove medical centre and a Dr. Yu. I have been in touch and all in all, we're looking at about $10 - $11k in bills. I however think its too expensive and would like to explore other options. So to all in the house, information on Maryland hospitals, their rates and user experience(as per delivery oo) is urgently needed abeg as i want to apply for my visa asap. Thanks in advance |
