Agriculture / Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by SGN(m): 10:37am On Mar 16, 2015
@obnelly

I agree... but I also have another issue - and that is I am not physically present there to manage the day-to-day activities, so a lot slip through because of that, and I think consolidating many customers into a few can help put thing under control a little bit and help the cash flow.

Thanks for the response.
Agriculture / Egg Dealer Wanted by SGN(m): 9:57am On Mar 16, 2015
Dear All,

I have eggs to sell from my farm around Asejire (i.e. along Ibadan - Ife road, before Ikire). I am ideally looking for regular customers who can lift around 200 crates in a week. Please if you have anyone who is an egg dealer who is interested please do get in touch on XXXXXXXX. I have small customers who buy 15, 20 or 25 crates at a time but this is not very good for cash flow and hence the need for customers who can buy in higher numbers.

Thanks.

Webmasters / Re: Eyowo: The Payment Gateway You've Been Waiting For! by SGN(m): 8:32pm On Oct 30, 2011
@poster

This looks interesting, very.  I however have a question:

Given your explanation above, seems you will have a grand account with Interswitch and e-Tranzact which you then connect to behind the scene to carry out transaction. Now, Interswitch/e-Tranzact is not aware of the original merchant site from where the transaction emanates, so the merchant and the paying customer cannot raise any issue with Interswitch/e-Tranzact but you.  The fund is removed from the customer account and paid into your account, then you do a transfer of the appropriate amount less commission to the merchant account. Now, my question is that is this backed/controlled/regulated by any existing law/CBN provision, like such that backed Interswitch/e-Tranzact or its just a smart business thinking?

Beside this concern of how protected the merchant and the customer are, I doff my hat for this brilliant innovation.

Business / Re: Nigeria Spends N72.8bn Monthly On Fuel Subsidy by SGN(m): 9:40am On Aug 28, 2011
Nigeria has an installed crude refining capacity of 445,000 barrels per day but the refining output is insignificant when compared to the national demand.

If the statement above from the original write up is true, then Nigeria's refineries installed capacity is enough to serve our daily need if they are working at capacity. Since from the original write up we consume 32million litres a day, from calculation, one barrel of crude yields approximately 73.8 litres of gasoline (minus other derivatives). It then follows that we need 433,604.33 barrels refining capacity. So if GEJ is serious about this, then our refineries must work first, then remove the subsidy. If he is not able to make these refineries work, I wonder why we are talking about all this subsidy thing.

And if we consume 32million litres a day, do we import the whole 32million litres, if not the subsidy amount calculated above is incorrect.

I like subsidy to be removed but when we still import the whole thing (if the write up is correct), this will amount to a serious pain on most Nigerians and it will be very difficult to curtail or control inflation.
Programming / Re: Help With C# Code by SGN(m): 10:30am On Jun 21, 2011
@Fayimora is right, you should at least try something first and then guys here could help you finetune, and @omo_to_dun is also right, what you are trying to achieve is not exactly rocket science. But in case you really are pressed for time, or unable to fathom something on your own, a quick yahoo or google search can help you (sometime, it pays not to reinvent the wheels).

I find this link, that seems to do what you want.
http://bytes.com/topic/c-sharp/answers/254401-anyone-have-mean-median-mode-stddev-routines-c

This is untested, but feel free to use as you see fit. For more extensive
statistical/math computations like Bessel functions, likelihood estimators,
and so forth, you might want to check out NMath. I've favored readability
over raw speed here, but this should be very fast.

Politics / Re: Ajimobi Bans NURTW Activities In Oyo State by SGN(m): 2:55pm On Jun 07, 2011
aribisala0:

are you the judge that will judge the case,does the constitution allow govs to ban groups.
did you see the id cards of the people that caused the trouble.

like i said the organization is registered in ABUJA not ibadan. banning means that if they meet they are engaged in criminal activity. the government may have the power to ban them de facto but not de jure in our laws governors and the president have no power to ban groups that is a legislative or judicial function

@aribisala0

No. I am not the judge. But the governor is the Chief Security officer of the state and has the constitutional power to stop any group that are deemed to be security risk from operating in his state. It is this power that was exercised.

It is easy for you to present this matter as a pure legal case in which the society as a whole did not feel this pain, unfortunately this is not, hence you are asking about the ID card of the perpetrator. For your information, police arrested several members (note the word) of NURTW so there is no issue about identity, unless the police now turned around and said they are not members of the NURTW. If you also care to know, this happened over a seven day period, not just one isolated event.

The quote in red in your last paragraph is the vindication of Ajimobi's step in this case, and lets see how NURTW will go to court and claim otherwise.
Politics / Re: Ajimobi Bans NURTW Activities In Oyo State by SGN(m): 12:55pm On Jun 07, 2011
@aribisala0

A court will not quash such a ban. There are valid legal reason to ban them. You realise that as a union, they have a constitution, and cannot operate in a way that endanger the peace and safety of the people, this they have done, unless you think changing leadership by guns and cutlasses and creating mayhem and insecurity for the whole populace is accepted under the law, therefore their ban is legitimate.
Romance / Re: American Needs Help by SGN(m): 6:42pm On Feb 20, 2011
Well, some people may not feel the same as I do, but honestly I think if someone cannot find a man or a woman as the case may to fall in love with in his/her neighbourhood, town, city, state, or country for that matter, but found love in a faceless individual somewhere across the atlantic who he/she cannot see, feel and assess and not introduced by a friend or family as it were, then such a person has problem.

@OP

Stop sending him money, you are being taken for a ride, a long one for that matter given its three years according to you.
