TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by ShalewaT: 8:05pm On Sep 13, 2024
Hello all smiley
I need all the advice and recommendations I can get rn. I am a Canadian PR, currently living outside Canada cos I had to leave to care for my baby. She is going to be a little over one year by the time I'm ready to return.
I plan to return with my baby, and it's going to be just me and her.

I have barely 6 months left and I need job recommendations that fits for someone with a baby with no help. I want to start actively applying. I am a skilled braider and loctician, tho I'm not sure if that will be enough for me.
The only job experience I have is healthcare assistant job. I trained for a project management course and I've updated my CV to fit into a entry level role, but nothing yet. All the job descriptions are just out of it for me.
I'll be in the comments :[ before my head will blow from over thinking

No practical experience but according to https://visa.vfsglobal.com/gbr/en/can/additional-services

34 pounds is for 2 way courier within UK.

16.15 pounds is package transmission fee.

Package transmission must be paid to any VFS if you decide to submit there but did not do your buomewith VFS London.

I'm not 100% sure but you only needed to pay for one way courier (which is 20.35) i.e. the payment for VFS to send your parcel back to you and transmission fee (16.15). I assume you couriered it to them or did they pick up from you?

Pay the 16.15 pounds and move on, I would say.
cry thank you
They are to pick it from me. So I payed for two way courier

Who have used the services of vfs London? I just payed 34 pounds for the service now and a representative is asking me to pay additional 16 pounds because I didn't do my biometrics in London.

I live in UK. Is there anyone in uk that have used their services pls. I don't know what the additional money is for since it's not even on their website

Pls read here. My understanding: if you have added spouse to your application, he will need to do medicals, PCC and you will need to provide updated POF for family of 2 at some point, whether or not he is accompanying.

I'm not sure there is an option to add him later...you don already marry smiley.....he just won't be accompanying you to Canada.

My advise: take it one step at a time, provide what they have asked for in the letter/email you got and see how it goes.....I'm not sure how you will get around the finances part though except you get a gift.
Thank you
