Western women are naive yes, but desperate no. We have big hearts and are guilty of wanting to help anyone, especially when it is a fine young thing from another part of the world, but There is plenty of Dcck running around here that are willing to lay up with, live on, and shack up with, even marry just to have a woman take care of them. It may be the allure of something different from the norm. Not to mention that the Nigerian boys are very persistant for those papers! I do not believe that you can fall in or out of love. I think you make a conscious decision to love or not to love. You have made the decision not to love your husband any more for whatever readson. Now you should choose if you want to love him again and make it work. If so then get some counseling for yourself and find out what your issues are and work through them. Also get couples counseling. If you choose not to love him then divorce him and move on. simple as that.

It is really shameful, but what can you do. There are these type of men from every culture and race. There are also the type of women that will take care of them from every culture and race ( not just white women).

We know that Jesus was born of a human, but with the divine spirit. I believe that each human being has a spirit of their own which will go to heaven when we die. Jesus had the divine spirit (Holy spirit which is God). Well when Jesus died he gave up the ghost or the spirit. the Spirit then returned to heaven to be reconciled unto itself. Which means Jesus was still not there at creation.

Which means that Jesus was not there at creation only God who is the Holy Spirit.

It is easy to take one or two verses out of a full chapter to make your own point, but the it actually reads John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him (God); and without him was not anything made that was made.

Hello, all what am trying to establish is the fact that, in Heaven at the time of creation, Jesus was not there, some have said that in heaven Jesus was there, the Holy Spirit and God also. And that is why the phrase let Us, and that the Us was these three personalities. But if we understand very well the scripture we will understand that Jesus was not there as the son of God ( Jesus) He was the spoken word of God and as you can not separate a man from His word, Jesus at that time was the word God that later became flesh in John 1. And that is why father son and the holy spirit are one. Like I said before you can not separate a man from his spirit and his word.

Jesus was not there at the time of creation, God is the holy spirit there was only one there. The us was inserted by the early Roman Catholics if I can remember my readings correctly. I was raised catholic so imagine my dismay when I found this out. This is why you see in the Bible sometimes God will be represented as a plural and others God will be represented as singular. God and the Holy Spirit are one, but Jesus is another. Jesus is human and divine he has the spirit of his father, and the human carnal nature of his mother.

Of course God could take the powers from Satan at any time, but why would he do that. The powers are not that special because we here on earth have the same gifts and are able to do the same works good or bad. If you choose to follow Satan that is your choice, but he has no more power than you. Satan is no more capable of doing evil than you. For us that choose to serve God in the Bible it says that greater works than these shall we do in Jesus name. It also says we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Our God is not an overbearing father, he is a father that guides his children with Love.

God is not to blame. He gives us free will just as he gave to Satan. Some of us choose to do the wrong things which removes us from Gods grace, just as Satan was removed. It is like you are an adult now so your mother and father no longer make you follow their rules. They hope that they have done a good job teaching you right from wrong, but at the end of the day you decide if you are going to do right or if you are going to do wrong. This makes Satan to blame for his removal from heaven and makes us humans to blame for everything that is going on in the world good or bad. Not because we are the creator, but because we are given the choices by the creator.

I just do not agree with the poster. I definitely would not be willing to be one of many wives. If that is what a woman wants, that is her choice, but that is not for me. I must be the only wife and I will not pretend to turn a blind eye to my mans infidelity just to keep peace in our home. If he wants peace he will keep it in his pants.

A wife or a mistress is still another woman. You can call your mistress your wife, which is what a lot of those Nigerian men do. It is semantics. They call any mistress for whom they are finally responsible and with whom they have children their wife.

You may claim that women may get tired of eating the same pot of soup everyday, but the fact of the matter is still that, unlike men, many women do not marry multiple husbands. It is a biological difference, and you can argue against reality and biological disposition all you want.

Many women do not even go around sleeping with multiple men, unlike men who sleep with multiple women and brag about it. When has it become a badge of honor for a women to spread her legs to multiple men? Maybe in your household.

Maybe we would have many husbands, or at least 2 or 3 but no man that I know would be willing to share his wife. If you would not be willing to submit yourself to such treatment, then you should not expect your wife to submit to such treatment.

So Basically what you are saying is, that the women should be more realistic about their expectations of a mate. Is that correct? If not I don't understand.

Why not live single and have as many ladies or men as you want! Then there is no harm and no foul. The thing is most men can dish it out, but they cannot take it. Their egos are huge enough to cheat, but to small to accept the fact that their wife can enjoy being pleasured by another man. It is time to level the playing field. If a women who sleeps around is a LovePeddler and a slut, then guess what so are the men.

@Andre Uweh He has told me that this is his first year working in his profession.  Thank you for all of your responses. I do know that people are different and I am certain that everyone in Nigeria is not like this guy and his family. I just so wanted to believe the sister when she told me that they were good people. I am a person who always looks on the bright side, but I guess I have fool written across my face. Oh well. Thank you again for all of your help, I greatly appreciate all of your comments.

I am in a friendship with an Nigerian guy. His ethnic group is Ibo. He is a first year medical surgeon. I am African American with a regular paying job. We have only been friends for 1 month in a half. He had a birthday recently and I offered to by gift of cologne or shirt, which he declined and ask for expensive 300.00 USD gift.   Which I did not buy. Then I ask his sister What would be inexpensive gift for him for Christmas. Thinking that she is woman with family she would understand times are hard and have better understanding of inexpensive than he. She gives me ideas of 200.00, 300.00, and 450.00 USD gift. Then she request a gift for herself that cost over 100.00 USD.   Is this normal? This kind of behavior is frowned upon in the US. When I refuse these gifts he calls me stingy. I am the most giving person, but I feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. Am I wrong in my thinking?
