Romance / Re: I Am A Jealous Man And Want To Stop It. by shanda(m): 8:12pm On Nov 08, 2010
Guy, just relax or u'll just develop HBP, and it's not worth it. All that you are doing will not stop her from cheating if she wants to do it. You can never close mark a lady, you'll end up pushing her to do what you fear most. She's already getting irritated by your actions and that's not a good sign. Try to control your emotions whenever it's burning. It could be difficult at first, but u'll get used to it with time.

You have no reaason not to trust her except if she has shown some signs in the past. What about her friends Does she keep too many friends ?? If she does, then it's not a good sign. If her friends are the responsible type, u have nothing to fear otherwise you should. Don't display too much affection for her, she'll end up taking advantage of it.

I still don't understand why some parents will not speak yoruba to their kids. Even if I live in antartica I will only speak yoruba to my kids. They'll learn to speak English in their school. I have a cousin who married a scottish lady, they already have three kids. He only speak yoruba to them while the wife speaks English to them. The funny thing is that, when the kids are together, they always speak yoruba to one another.

Ileke Idi, I hardly comment on nairaland, but when I saw this thread, I couldn't describe the joy that I felt within. I'm yoruba, and I love the culture so much. Yoruba culture is really interesting and wonderful. Sometime ago I met a brazilian and cuban at different time, who happened to be decendants of yoruba slaves. They still preserve most of the yoruba culture in their respective countries. Orisha worshipping (called Santeria in Cuba and Candomblé in Brazil) is the most popular religion in Cuba. I noticed the brazilians have lost the aspect of respect, which to me is very very important part of Yoruba culture. A couple of guys have set up a yoruba training institutes in brazil teaching them more about the yoruba culture. Check the link below to read about the personal experience of Dr Niyi Afolabi in Brazil.

Properties / Re: Monthly Payment Of Rent by shanda(m): 7:20am On Oct 22, 2010
If landlords can get mortgage facilities to build houses, the government can enact law forcing them to collect monthly rent. My dad has a house where the tenants pay monthly, there are people living there that have not paid the old man for almost eight months now. If he takes them to court, they will only tell him to give them three months, and if they fail to pay within that period, they should pack out. At the end of the day, he ends up making a loss. How will you now convince such a man not to collect yearly rent. The least he collects now is six months and he doesn't go beyond one year.
Computers / Re: Help Me Choose What Laptop To Buy by shanda(m): 11:03am On Oct 12, 2010
Don't waste your money buying brand names, I've used HP and DELL laptops in the past. This will be my first Toshiba and I was skeptical initially cos it's not a popular brand here. But the truth is that most of these computer manufacturers get all their hardware from the same companies i.e they buy hard disk from seagate, processors from intel and so on. At the end of the day you might end up paying more for a particular brand (name) when in actual fact they are all made up of the same components.
Computers / Re: Help Me Choose What Laptop To Buy by shanda(m): 10:57am On Oct 12, 2010
I bought a Toshiba laptop about 5 months ago, it came with 500GB hard disk and 4GB RAM. I've not had any had any regret since. An HP laptop with same config would have cost around 150k but I got it for 93k. Ask for pacific computers when you get to computer village. The laptop came with one year warranty.

Guys, I'm thinking of switching from starcomms to MTN. I am currently on Starcomms Izap 100hrs plan (N6,500) and I use an average of 2GB, but I think MTN 5GB and N8,000 monthly plan is a better option. What's their speed like ?
Computers / Re: Mtn 3g Upgraded To 5g by shanda(m): 10:21pm On Oct 07, 2010
I saw their advert in a newspaper today, the 247 monthly plan that used to be 10k and 2GB download limit, is now 8k and 5GB download limit. I think the price war is about to start. grin

You are an idi ot of unimaginable magnitude for telling me to shut up. Don't I have the right to express myself. You should learn to respect the opinion of others even though you disagree with them.

I only know that he has spent four seasons playing in the local league before he featured at the under 17 world cup. Only a mad man will believe that a twelve year old guy plays in the league.

Thank you. You are a good man. However, it'll be nice if you don't deceive any women into thinking you are marriage material when you are clearly not.

You can call me anything you like. I don't deceive people and I believe we all have choices. I'm sure you know open relationship exists and if cheating on one's partner will make you less a marriage material, then 95% of guys are not worthy of been called that.

Why should you make vows you can't uphold ? I can't make such cos I know I'm definitely gonna cheat on whoever I end up with. I don't deceive myself.

Family / Re: Betrayed By : by shanda(m): 5:05pm On Jul 05, 2010
I believe this lady has been sleeping around before you guys got married. You'll hardly find a lady committing adultery few months into her marriage, after been faithful for almost five years. It's just unfortunate you got to know this after your marriage, but the truth is that she don dey do am tey tey. I feel sorry for u cos I know what it feels like to experience such. That's why I can never get emotionally involved with any lady.

If your health condition is currently stable, believe me u'll develop high blood pressure pretty soon if you go ahead with your plan. If you currently have HBP you might have heart attack. It's painful though, but I see you as a weakling, by telling her to resign and come home with you. Come home to do what. Yea, you guys still need to talk. I just hope she'll be open enough to tell you the reason, but I doubt if that will happen. You could imagine the excuse she gave "she doesn't hav a reason". Do you know why she doesn't have one, that's because she's been doing before now so she can't possibly point to anything.

I can see that you still don't understand what you'll be going through. Ask those that have done similar things and learn from their experiences. You'll end up giving yourself hypertension, cos u'll always be concerned about where she's gone to. A couple of times you'll probably assumed she's getting fuc, ked somewhere.

See, you can never trust this lady again, why waste your time trying to resolve it. Let her family know that she's a fuc, king bitch. As for you, it will take a long time for you to really get over it. I really wish you can tell us about some incidents that happened before your marriage. Some of these could possibly give us a clue about the knid of person she really is, after which you can be better advised.
