@niyi and all, I came to China for a program, while moving around, I came across this hybrid inverter
http://www.mustpower.com/pv1800-hm-mppt-series-high-frequency-off-grid-solar-inverter-2-3kva/
Am buying the 3kva from the factory. What's your opinion pls

Just picked up the Morningstar TS-MPPT-60 from @Ola28. Yes, it's the 60Amp Tristar Mppt and yes, it was the same price.
How much?

If you are sure your 40A E-Smart CC is rated for 100v and is indeed capable of MPPT tracking and battery charging/power output then;

Connect two 270w panels in series to produce 540watts max let us call this ARRAY1

then

Connect the 270w and 250w panels in series to produce 500watts max (Yes 500watts) let us call this ARRAY2.

See attached diagram although my drawing is rather crude.

Then connect ARRAY1 and ARRAY2 in parallel to make a 1,040watts 48v nominal PV array.

If you are not sure what to do at any point then please call for expert help.
Oga niyi I have a kweshon, in the bolded, so we can actually mix diff watt of PV? Cuz my setting as said earlier consist of 6pcs 130watt 2*3 (3 arrays) total 780watt. So can I buy 2pcs 260watt PV and make it the the 4th and 5th?

Here is my little story...

21/01/18 Successfully mounted my PV array with 4 x 250wp, 3kw cc
04/02/18 I increased my Solar array to 6nos with the addition of 2 x 325wp PVs
09/02/18 Replaced my 4 x 200AH very old batteries with 2 x 200AH
09/03/18 One full month, I have not used my generator. i only support the system with PHCN.
10/03/18 For the first time we did not have PHCN for a full 24hours and I have depended on Solar all through the day and night with TVs and fans running on auto cruise.

The attached picture is my readings around midday!

Congrats to all of us.

PS: I have contributed my little quota in minimizing greenhouse gas GHG emissions and reducing the impact of global warming to preserve the planet for your kids, my kids and our grand kids to have a world to live in...
Hmm, what brand of CC are you using?

We know it's a premium cc and we are aware of the price. You still need to state the price. Do have nice day.
He tagged it at 150k, me think its a bit on a high side considering it not brand new. Anyway, my opinion

Gentlemen, I came back home yesterday and met the breaker triped off (the positive one in between my solar CC and the batteries) so I turned it on and immediately I hard a noise from inverter, well I checked and nothing seems unusual. This morning I noticed the CC was on and charging but showing zero reading for watt and amp and even when the positive breaker is off (am thinking maybe the breaker has gone bad) though there was grid supply throughout the night uptill this morning why will the CC be charging? Or could it be that the inverter charger is not working?

Is it possible to have a 2kva or 3kva hybrid inverter with the SUB/SNU function? Any known brand ?

Hello, I got and replaced me old quanta batteries with two brand new quanta batteries today. The manufacturing date was November last year and the manual say they should be charged if stored for 3 months from date of manufacture. Will live them to charge with nepa over night. Thinking of to add more PVs' . currently I have 6 130w making a total of 780w. Can I add 4 more to make it 1200w? Will the CC take it?
See my CC specification http://www.mustups.com/pc1600a-series-mppt-solar-charge-controller/

NiyiOmoIyunade:
Based on what you have represented below; you already have a charge controller which by all accounts is functioning well and also you have a trouble free inverter.

As it appears you are not ready to change your batteries yet, an 'Hybrid Inverter' may not help you at all as it merely combines the solar charge controller and inverter feature in one single box. The Hybrid Inverter still needs batteries to function except it is a grid tie inverter you have in mind and going that route will very likely be more complicated and costly than a simple battery change.

Assuming your MustPower charge controller is functioning well, power generated from your PV panels will be directed first towards your loads then any excess power will go to charging the batteries - what I'm trying to say is that what you already have should be achieving your objective unless I am missing something?

For your batteries, they have done well to last 3 years especially as 6*130watts panels would not have been enough to charge them properly unless your loads are very low or you are getting PHCN or Gen to complete the charge. Have you checked the battery voltages when your inverter low battery alarm goes off? You may be able to identify a weak battery that may be recovered with a few complete/proper charge cycles.

Please revert with further details and we can take things further.
@Niyi, makavele and all, I got a good multimeter today, the batteries have been charging all day via pv and phcn, came back home around 7pm, no phcn(nobody at home either) turn on just the fan and 2 12watt bulbs, did the v test on the two batteries and got 25.2 cumulatively (and 12.5 &12.7 individually) but what surprised me was the charge controller was showing 24.2 cry, am beginning to suspect this cc cuz lately despite the fact that I have total PV is 780 (130*6) configured in 2*3, the CC display Amp never goes more than 12a max even though PV volt can go up to 36v. Is this normal? The CC brand is Must solar

makavele:
Brah Matiu, you are not permitted to do so.

Do it and you'll essentially have 130 + 130 Watts instead of 300 + 130 Watts

lol
I thought as much. My dilemma is that my power inverter is practically a UPS. I want to use the power from my PV the run some appliances. The charge controller that charges the batteries cannot give me an AC output for my appliances hence the reason for me asking if I can change the power inverter to a hybrid inverter.
Below is an exact diagram of my system, the blue dot line is what I desire to have in other to have AC output for my appliances.

Oshomo12:
I want to belief it's not a grid tie (maybe u meant an inverter that uses the grid to charge ur batteries). Grid tie inverter supplies directly to the grid, aka Phcn. Just as @NiyiomoIyunade said, ur batteries are quite strong to have last this long(6 of 130 w panaels can't just cut it! a little small to charge those batteries well).
My brother, go and buy new panels before u think of replacing those batteries fa! And No, u don't need hybrid inverter, cos u have one in conjuction with your controller already.

NOTE: where d hell is Makavele when u need him? angry
Thanks for the correction, I actually mean my inverter uses grid to charge and the charge controller is also connected to the batteries (charges it when the grid is down). 130watts PV ain't easy to come by around here, can I mix with a different watt e.g 300w.

Thanks your response. What I have is a grid tide inverter. The charge controller supplement whenever the Grid is down (I hate generators). Pls see sketch below. the reason I want a hybrid inverter is just so I could get power for my appliances straight from the PV during the day.
My multimeter is misbehaving, will get another one tomorrow God willing so I can test the individual batteries.

Hello, I NEED SOME URGENT ADVICE PLEASE.
I have a 1.5kva 24v inverter (safe power, problem free 3yrs and counting ) with two quanta 12v 200ah batteries I use. I also have a 6pcs of PV 130w each in 2x3 with a 40a 24v must solar mppt charge controller.
The issue is my batteries are weak (3yrs 2months), they don't last longer than 4hrs with just a ceiling fan on at night or day. Sometime s we go 2-3days without light in my area .So am thinking of getting a hybrid inverter of either 2kva or 3kva, so at least I can still light straight from the PV's during the day before I can finally change the batteries. I hope its a good idea and what type of hybrid inverter will be best?
Somebody should please help me out nah

good one, i got a 1.4 kva inveter with 200ah battery just 2 days ago for 170k, works for about 7 hours fully loaded.
Bros lemme give u tips on how to maintain/sustain ur battery to last you longer. DON'T EVER RUN DOWN YOUR BATTERY MORETHAN 50% OR 30% WORST CASE IF want it to last longer. And don't let stay longer without recharging. Don't over charge (this is not a problem since most inverters come with inbuilt charge regulators

There are many reasons why You had that much:
1. Either there was not much sorting when buying the juveniles because adding shooters can be detrimental in some cases. Like in our case we had to sort them out from counting stage to all equal sizes to reduce cannibalism.
2.You didnt lime the pond before stocking your juveniles to drive away predators from the water like frog, snakes, old fishes
3. disease outbreak.
4. Security man double crossed You.
5. You were not prayerful

Choose the ones You missed out and correct them next time You would have a bountiful harvest.
Please can you explain item 2. What do you mean by lime the pond?
Pls
