bigfrancis21: Hey, congrats on your admission to UMD. I am an alumnus of the school, having graduated last december.
UMD is quite a huge campus with a teeming student population. As you probably know by now, it ranks among the top schools in the US. As you would expect, it is quite a tough school academically but you should be fine. It is located in the city of college park, in the Prince George's county of Maryland. The school is about 15 minutes drive to the white house and about 5 minutes drive away from Washington DC (very close). Housing around the school is average and you can rent a room in a house for between $400 to $600 per month, with or without utilities. It is about 45 minutes drive from Baltimore. The public system in the DMV area (DC, Maryland and Virginia) is quite well developed and many buses run that cover several routes. Maryland's weather is usually not too extreme - neither too cold as in NY or Boston nor too hot as in Florida. The weather is in-between.
UMD has a diversified reliable school shuttle system covering the Prince George's county and environs. Thus there is strong chance that you could get a house off campus along a shuttle route that would take you to and bring you back from school.
There are many Nigerian students (foreign and US-born) going to school here. I'm sure you'll be able to connect with Nigerian students here.
In all, it is a good school to attend. Go terps! Bigfrancis Sir, l mite be a student of that school soon sir, l will be needing help from your side sir. Is cybersecurity an okay course there? Dad wants me to go for d course |

LagosNIV: If it's a stepparent that is petitioning then you will need to bring a lot of documentation of the relationship between your biological parent, the stepparent, and yourself. If we need more than what you bring, we can always ask for it at the interview. Good evening Sir, am here again Sir, a question popped to my mind now and l want to ask. I will make d question as clear as possible. My step_mum who is filing for me using a joint tax record with my dad. so when l told him we will be needing IRS tax info and AOS, he only sent their IRS tax info and AOS, whereas wen my step_mum used a joint sponsor for me. He told me he has misplaced d joint sponsor's AOS and IRS tax info, wont that be a problem? Am only havin their IRS and my step_mum's AOS, they couldnt find the sponsor"s AOS and IRS tax info |

Jchi9876: the weather is cold already i need my fire place more fired up
Do people have to naturally tell you to cram it is the crammer and copier that goes all out in a desperate unprepared state to naturally cram.
Get the argument, point and message which is interview sessions. of applicants successfull or unsuccessful should be discouraged from being posted, used as basis/foundation(like you said) for preparation or whatever.
If you are a genuine applicant when you are denied deep on your mind ( if you are genuine with yourself) you know why you were denied and even most times told same by the consular officer.
But counterfeit applicants in an easy way to get it quick again come here asking for scrutiny and prepping up so as to "know what to say" not necessary the right intentions to be "successful" the next time.
Ask those you guys call gurus( i know they will be sincere) most of them got "approved" after at least a denial how more serious they were in areas of upgrading their present situation( finances, job relativity to course of study etc) , more detailed course researches and school not one will tell you the basis was or their strength was in the "success story of a interview session"
Like warriboy said i am the typical "cover book for exam kind of guy" and you know why its a confidence booster and shows seriousness.
i would rather do it myself and if you are so so so good. rthat you ever have "access" to copying my success tips good for you.
But i will NEVER ever encourage a family member or friend to go solely searching for visa interview questions and answers.
Phewwww how does it even sound to you guys |

LagosNIV: Yes, these documents are required. They should have been included with the petition.
In the event that the documents are not available at the time of the interview, we will be unable to issue the visa until we receive a copy of the required documentation. Are scanned documents of the AOS ans IRS tax information accpetable? |
