cenaman:Maybe we should start with embassies in our country and create alliances with African countries plus others across the globe that we will need things from. This will create jobs in both countries for money exchangers dealing in those currencies. Nothing is fully wrong with Naira( permit me this English), but it gets wrong when we compare it with other seemingly powerful currencies.... Though, we need to do better. Hopefully, the new Ministers have assume office and should hit the ground running apart from Governor's in each state addressing issues to making Nigeria better. PS: Don't know if there is a Minister for Industries as we need his impact a lot at this critical time. |
Chizim1:Death terminates all the ties in Ika land unless individual, illiterate families. Besides, being a Christian cancels all that. Returning of bride price is more for divorce cases. |
SoNature:Also, in Western countries generally including Europe. Don't think in Nigeria, a wife can cheat and still get anything from the man, when those that don't cheat hardly get anything or much. Don't know if Westerners/ Europeans who wed Nigerians in Nigeria can invoke such laws to their favor. |
NLegendforte:U just described yourself.... Even Onitsha is same Benin blood. |
BabaIbo:I'm just tired.... Pegging is at least better than redominating the Naira... CBN should act as the regulator in the market..... Dollar must not be more than N500, or BDC license ceased |
How long do we leave our Naira in the hands of greedy, capitalist Nigerians? Peg this thing to N400 and highest N500 for black market. CBN doesn't even give us feedback on things on social media like b4 eg via Fbk. The new guy( very tall man) , should do better please. |
Wasteful.... In as much as Ganduje was called all sorts of names, we saw the projects he did in Kano.... He made people who were not Muslims or Northerners desire to go to Kano unlike this new one |
Cultural dress similar to ANIOMA- BENIN dressing.....That of the King and some of the men at the royal palace. |
One SE and SS in this nonsense NOT 2 SEasterners. |
Some Naija guys are funny.... A country that men dodge paying child support, alimony or palimony( if this begins operation), wants their women to be doing so to them.... Joke of the century. |
Please, PEG the Naira and don't redominate it.... Praying we have more people friendly policies from our leaders.... Una kukuma don gain back money una spend for election, let Nigerians enjoy too |
Zxcvbnmghtr:Did Bob Marley's grand daughter play in the Jamaican team? The wife currently has residency in Ghana, even got an African name.... I was rooting for Spain since England embarrassed our girls ( lol). |
Marry a man you love that loves you more( crazy about you)..... Lack offaith in God doesn't allow people to know their true worth. Easy principle that follows what the Bible says, any other way is disaster for the woman..... The man has gone to who his heart belongs to.... No money can buy his heart.... You pitied him, married him and showered him with gifts, thought men were supposed to be the hunters, doing the reverse will backfire especially to an ingrate. Now, you want to be like the ex-convict that he was due to your choices.... I guess this offence will be bailable..... |
Reminds me of what happened in Victory church long ago('95) when Bishop Harford Anayo Iloputaife was killed (about 7 bullets to his head allegedly and he was still talking.... Very strong vibrant man who died in his late 30s) and his wife assumed his role in church.... Many years after, Mrs. Nkechi Iloputaife still stands strong for the church. Some people did say crime in Edo State is very little bit seeing this now, is a bit confusing. Pastor is alive but wife dead..... May the home find peace. |
Enskynelson:Please, leave Zonefree alone. Person wen no fit afford ordinary girlfriend is advising 10yr married man for 2nd wife. Marrying 2nd wife also means additional care for inlaws. Sometimes, it may be fear of pregnancy. The other guy saying he sleeps with his wife daily, does he also do it on her fertile days when prevention of pregnancy by any means isn't 💯. Some women pills destabilizes their menstrual cycle and they don't even know when to prepare for it, which can come embarrassingly at any time.... Some pills/ inj cause other issues like obesity or one ailment or the other and the woman may want to take a break from all these apart from painfully taking injections every 2 or 3 months ( women dey try). Thoughtful men who want to mount on their wives at anytime can go for vasectomy and the Op already has 3 kids. |
Dreament:Oga, all that side practise it including AkwaCross.... Most times it ends at the child bearing her own family's name. What complicated this issue was their living together ( pretentiously) like a couple.....If the man married her legally, the English law would have been applied. There was a case where a lady dragged a man to be responsible for child support for her. The man clearly didn't want to.... At last, the girl was told to bring a representative of her family and the Judge ruled, after crosschecking all applicable laws especially from where she came from and ruled finally that her DAD should be responsible for her and her child's upkeep. What this means invariably is that, when such a thing happens with no contracted marriage, the child belongs to her family or whoever legally ( which may extend to the spouse who legally married the woman with child)takes care of that child. He wanted to cheat the system since NO CLEAR Civil Partnership law in Nigeria, so to be called a bonafide inlaw, the girl's own traditional law( NOT Civil law, since no legal marriage) will play more here. I'm from SS and telling you fact.... Even, Cameroonians practices it but Igbos are louder on this. Anyone who so chooses to impregnate a lady abroad will face whatever law there is on Civil Partnership and pay Child Support, no one can run away from the Laws of the land whether English or Traditional laws, so be law abiding. |
After men will say women don't have sense or have fish brain. How can someone who is very close to his ancestors murder his OWN wife because of mere sex? We will leave all these on earth. |
When you leave the Naira in the hands of forces of demand and supply from greedy, capitalist Nigerians without pegging it as a regulator, you have this very devalued Naira. CBN can do better. |
As a lady, if a man tells u his relationship status is complicated or separated, RUN biko.....Now, it is like u have a child for a married man..... His/ his family's reluctance coupled with his habits that might not allow him have money to settle off his wife will make the divorce linger unless the marriage stuff is in Nigeria then, he can be free for you soon..... He needs help in many areas.... Are u ready to wait for him? Work on yourself and men will rush u, at worst widowers or divorced ( fully) or single men with kid/s..... But, everything marriage is on earth, so just pick in life what will make u happy as sometimes, men with kids can even make u more fulfilled than the ones without kids, if that's your fear, whenever you find love again after first finding yourself. |
coputa:What about those with natural dreads? Even banning artificial dreads, the school may call braids which have saved students lives in terms of cost, dreads. Some other students to save cost, cut their hair, relax and dye it just to look trendy and not haggard. |
sylve11:I'm from SS |
Smartguyboy:This law spans from SE SS up to Cameroon as a way to checkmate irresponsible men. Even widows and divorces with 4 kids do remarry.... Here, there wasn't any marriage so she was with her boyfriend and NOW has a husband. The children are mostly adults and will choose if to bear their dad's name or their mum's husband's name and they must not make the mistake of choosing a name that would later not help them go through school and life in general.... Marrying a woman with 4 kids no be beans and the man wants guarantee of his investments in the life of the children. Some will say the children will lose out on the inheritance of their dad but a man who can't send them to school and beats their beloved mum may not have anything worthy to give them later. The man wanted to scatter her life and she being a prodigal child allowed it for many years but she remembered where she was coming from and left... He wanted to cheat and thought giving the children Yoruba names meant he had won. The customary court will decide for the woman using her tradition since her people are supposed to see him as their INLAW, NOT a persona non grata.... Even if he married an Armenian, Chinese, Turkish woman he is supposed to follow her family's marriage tradition to be called a SON INLAW. It's good to always do the right thing. If this is abroad, we will say it is Civil Partnership but here no law and he would pay Palimony to the woman.... Maybe if court pities him, he may pay child's support to the woman as the children can decide for themselves who they want to be with.... But, we should applaud traditional laws that fights for the rights of women like this one as most of our laws( Civil laws) aren't really women friendly |
Seniormanfeyi06:Not at all .... The easiest way for insecure men to hold their wives captive ( as she is in jail already and he is a Task master to her), is to call her Ashawo.... an Adulteress..... But, for women who know their worth, it is to grow thick skin on this...... He doesn't give her anything as her husband, he is not her husband only the father of her children.....He is wondering how God still prospers her after wishing her dead( since he doesn't take care of her). Many will suggest divorce but what will she get in consolation? There are cases of divorce outside Africa where even in the face of infidelity from the wife, the husband still paid $350,000( not talking of super rich persons ooo), but not so in Nigeria whether or not the woman is caught in adultery. Reason why after claiming to divorce their wives, the new wife wouldn't feel secure in Nigeria unless FULLY legally married, because the man is still owing her and might need to pay in the future unlike foreigners where u feel very secure as the new wife since the ex has been DULY settled. |
Axis313:Don't even know if Customs have CCTV cameras flooding kilometers to the various borders? This will help their work a lot. Demand of more than 200m people is more than supply so suppliers few goods( rice) Vs many Nigerians hungry for rice as a staple commodity makes suppliers to increase the price of rice coupled with lack of basic infrastructure and greed. |
I still wonder that between the Arabs and South Americans/ Latinos who has hotter/ violent blood? |
dealhunter:U are complicating things. With God, b4 u travel, get someone in Canada that u are already chatting with and loves you... I don't advise crossing when u can build up your life in Canada since that is the visa you got. |
OndoRaph:Clinical diagnosis should be Celiac disease which is autoimmune disease that irritates or damages your guts( small intestine)as Pasta could have gluten( protein) which has adverse effect on your system. Eg of Gluten rich products: Barley, Rye, Oats, Wheat, Malt |
Goodluck and Obasanjo( laid down the foundation for many government institutions/ agencies we have now)... Didn't really know if Yaradua was working or not though he had good intentions.... His wife didn't make us appreciate his government. |
Congrats..... More 'in roads' into the Caribbean and South American with connecting flights if necessary. |
ajimo54:Many private schools give pension. For the type of salary he earns in the private school, the environment/ esthetics will be good but not many public schools have that and if he is one that gets irritated easily by this, he will not really love being in such government schools. He should visit this public primary school 1st. Though, he can still work in public school and earn from private school lessons as one student alone in good private school will give him N40-60,000 however, not many public primary school pupils will be able to afford lessons unless they do group lessons and most times this is done if it is Common Entrance time though many will want to go to public Secondary schools which is already sure for them, admission wise. At a time, many in private schools remained and some moved to public while some in public moved to big private schools. But, work is much in private schools especially when you are following British curriculum and if he doesn't mind, then no problem afterall, the extra thing to give him money is what he is already doing. He needs to also think of the future, to ensure he is part of Teachers Registration Council incase tomorrow travelling out becomes open or an option.... |
Sweden has flogged the Cup bearer, USA and they are out by penalty shoot out. If only African teams can move with courage, confidence, not showing too much respect to their 'colonial masters' on the field and dare some shots, they will survive this round. Favor upon Super Falcons as anything can just happen. |
jayAjoku:This advice won't work for up and mobile career women who don't have time to properly maintain this natural hair..... Natural hair is not so easy to maintain and get to work.... Me, my hair doesn't even relax, no matter how I try and I don't have much time with the natural hair so artificial hair comes in to make one look decent. So, when women put on this artificials it helps them save time( the only time wasted is when it is being done eg weavons, braids), not that they intend just wearing these for wearing sake.... You may like natural hair but may not eventually be time and cost effective at same time making one appear presentable..... Also, just as some men are good looking with no hair on their scalp, some need to make hair styles( cut ones) and others just mere cuts to appear presentable same with ladies. Not everyone looks good with natural hair that is why some ladies cut theirs, relax the cut hair, braid, fix weavons, wigs, attachments especially based on your time schedules. |
